Truffle sashimi

All food items were excellent and Met or exceeded expectations.. Especially enjoyed the entrees. They were both very light and very flavorful and unique . The crispy crust on the branzino really brought it to Next Level . It's so rare to have a lobster pasta that's not too heavy, yet this one managed to do that . The server was extremely attentive but not overbearing . I don't recall his name but he had kind of a young Brad Pitt Vibe going on that I enjoyed.

We've been here twice since it opened. Once with a group of over 70 for a Christmas party with my car club and again for a work dinner recently. Both times the food and service were exceptional. The restaurant is located adjacent to Fashion Square and has valet parking. We've had so many items we loved here: SHISHITO PEPPERS, OMAKASE BOAT, TRUFFLE SASHIMI, WAGYU SURF & TURF ROLL and the CRUNCHY RICE CAKES. The manager came out to our table to greet us and make sure everything was perfect. Definitely amazing for people watching and date night.

This restaurant is perfect. The atmosphere, the food, the service, everything is perfect. We got the crunchy rice cakes to start which were delicious. Then we got lobster pasta, filet, ribeye, truffle fries, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was incredible!! Cannot wait to go back

First time here, picked this over ocean44 for the sushi selection. Menu is pretty small and felt very intentional which I was a really big fan of. Best bite of the night goes to the toro nigiri, explosion of flavor! Everything was very delicious but a little cold, the only thing that came out hot was the pasta. Steak and fries both tasted like they had been sitting on the counter for a while. The food was paced well but probably at the cost of leaving the food out. The restaurant is def speakeasy vibes, dark interior. We really liked that the tables weren't squished together like a lot of other high end restaurants. Our server was Eric and he was great, noticed when I dropped my fork and immediately brought replacement without me asking. Very friendly. We will definitely make our way back here.

I felt like this place was over hyped The restaurant itself is beautiful and the concept is great! Service was decent. For food the Brussels were good but we got oysters and they weren't shucked properly/ had shells in them. We also got two nigiri flights and I felt that they were mediocre at best. You can get omakase for the same price that's better elsewhere. Also the water bottle on the table had some substance all along the outside. The manager came to say hello to the tables on either side of us but not ours. Just felt like a lackluster experience overall.

Phenomenal seafood. I visited Catch for the first time earlier this week with family. We ordered a variety of dishes and each person loved their meal. I ordered two rolls, the catch roll and hellfire roll. The fish is so fresh and flavorful. I've tried a lot of sushi in my life and I have to say these were the best rolls I've ever had. We ended the night with the "hit me" cake dessert. Out of this world. This dish is a must try if you have a sweet tooth. Our waiter, Bart, made sure we had an excellent dining experience. He was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Overall, we had an exceptional experience.

This place definitely live upto its hype! Ambiance and decor is absolutely a VIBE- I loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was very kind and helpful as some of my friends needed GF options. The food was DELICIOUS. My favorite was the truffle spaghetti and the tuna pizza. Honestly everything we had was delicious and I can't wait to come back!

Crab hand rolls - so good we ordered another 3!

Hot spot alert! I know, I know... I am late to this one but it's still a hot spot. I made my way to Catch Scottsdale on a recent Saturday night with a couple of friends and had a very good experience. This place has a vibe... it's fun and loud and great for people watching. We enjoyed some great cocktails and shared a bunch of sushi / appetizers. Everything was delicious. Water / drink refill staff were attentive but our main waiter was a bit on the slower side. All in all, this place is expensive but if you're seeking a hot spot with top notch food and drink, you cannot go wrong here.

Spicy gigli pasta

After 20 calls and 2 weeks from New Years Eve, we were finally able to get confirmation from Catch that they were hosting a fixed menu on NYE. The interior is beautiful and the dress code was dressed to impress. We were not disappointed. There were so many small selections that I can't recall the dishes in detail. The presentations were beautiful and most of the dishes were good but portion divided by 4 made it hard to breakdown each dish. There was to much activity to focus on the specific dishes. As one would expect on NYE, volume was loud, limited service and a rush to turn the tables. My feeling is that my assessment of Catch needs to be accurate, but I need to return to re evaluate on a normal night. This evening was atypical.

My favorite item from catch was the spicy shrimp and the tuna tartare. The shrimps were fried in a very fluffy better and coated in a sweet spicy mayo. I loved the tobiko in the sauce! It added great texture. The tuna tartare was also super yummy and great tasting tuna. I loved the noodle shape for the spicy gigli pasta but I didn't get much spice. That is probably not something I'd order again. The service was overall good. It was a little bit odd but when we first arrived the host wasn't around for a few minutes. Although to be fair we did come in for a late meal. It is a really cute restaurant however they sat 6 of us at one of the small round tables and it was quite a squeeze. Service was winding down and there were a lot of open tables but it's okay. It's also right next door to bar bambino so I recommend checking that out after dinner!

Seating

Great ambiance! Modern and classy restaurant but food taste was just okay. Desserts were actually very delicious which were warm ricotta donuts and hit me chocolate cake. Ordered the Madai Crudo, Crispy Shrimp, Caesar Salad, Prime Ribeye, Gigli pasta, miso glazed seabass with smashed potatoes and crispy Brussel sprouts. Seabass was on the sweeter side and not the best. The Crispy Shrimp was too spicy and got an upset tummy after consuming it. Food overall was average but an upscale atmosphere for sure.

I was honestly very disappointed with the service we received. Our server wasn't the warmest person, but the hosts were nice and the other associates who kept our waters and switched out the plates were great. Probably the worse service I had if this restaurant is considered fine dining. Food portions pretty small compared to other fine dining. One crispy tuna piece is $10. The Catch Roll had a cool presentation but not my favorite flavor of sushi. I don't mind paying higher prices if the food is worth it but I don't think it is. The oysters were delicious but EXTREMELY small. The truffle sashimi so yummy, ribeye good flavor and fatty, the truffle mushroom spaghetti very good as well. Ambience has a great vibe, it would have been worth the price if our server was better :(

I cannot say enough good things about this place. To begin, the service - unbeatable!! Our waiter Kyle was so attentive and helpful. He offered great recommendations and each one was a hit. We ordered a lot of food and I can easily say that nothing was less than an 8/10. My favorite was the madai crudo. Can't wait to go back!

For apps we got the lamb fondue which was super tender and unique. Dipping meet in cheese? Literally nothing better. Then we also got the green chili pork stew which is a MUST try! Not too spicy and full of flavor. Also, great for sharing as you fill it in the buttery tortillas. The filet was seriously one of the best I've ever had in Arizona. It has a nice shallot butter crust and it was cooked PERFECTLY medium rare. This was a highlight. The pork chop is huge and has a nice sweetness to it. The meat wasn't dry either...it pretty much tasted like the best bacon I've ever had LOL Everyone must get the green chili Mac n cheese. Not spicy at all just Smokey and tangy and full of cheese but shockingly not that heavy. The pecan pie was unreal. Gooey and sweet but the crust was still super flakey. The brownie skillet was soft in the middle which is how it always should be. Their known for their frozen huckleberry margarita which is a treat in its own but it's not too icey they definitely don't skip out on the tequila. Rachel was our server. She's been there for awhile so you know that they treat their staff well. She was super knowledgeable and honest about certain menu items. I also spoke with the manager, Matt, who was very welcoming and seemed very proud of his restaurant (as he should be). Overall highly reccomend it here. Everything exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely be returning!

We were running a little late so I had our friends check-in at the hostess stand and they gave my name for our reservation which was confirmed and they were sat at a table. We then arrive a short while later and I approached the hostess and stated that we had a reservation and our friends already arrived, checked-in for our reservation and were seated. The hostess asks what name the reservation was under and I tell her my complete name and she said she doesn't have it. I explained that I have a confirmation email and she waves her tablet at me about 4 feet away so I can't see the details and says "See! I don't have it." I replied, my friends are already here under the reservation so can I just go find them? She replied yes. I don't understand the interaction when my friends clearly checked in already using my name for the reservation. It was a discussion that wasn't necessary and did not give our first visit to the Roaring Fork a good impression. Once we found our friends after searching through the entire restaurant, we found them and sat down. We were immediately approached my our server who was very attentative and gave great service. We were told about a 3-course menu with multiple selections and I decided to get the New York Strip. I enjoyed my cesar salad and then the New York Strip was delivered. It was prepared according to my request, medium, and I checked by cutting right down the middle. I noticed it was a little tough to cut even with the steak knife I provided but the inside looked as expected so I continued on. What I was surprised to find was the amount of gristle on the New York Strip. There is nothing like having to pull food out of your mouth (several times) at a public place because you can't possible chew or consume it. For $80 (salad, New York Strip, sides and desert) I expected better. Unfortunately, my experience leads me to leave a 3 star review.

The vibe is super chill and the staff all had smiles. We felt welcomed immediately. Our cocktails were crafted beautifully and they were balanced properly. My wife really liked the Cosmo on HH which is rare for her. We tried the signature toasted raviolis, steak soup, and the steak tacos. All the apps were unique and tasted great. The raviolis were probably the best bite of the evening. The pro tip is to get half jalapeno cheese and half meat. The soup would be perfect on a chilly afternoon as it is rich and belly warming. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal.
