5 star upscale surf and turf fine dining restaurant . Very pricey and everything is ala cart. Valet for everyone and there's a dress code. The food was decadent, rich and a tad on the salty side. The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Our server Ryan knew the menu by heart and took great care of us.

We booked this restaurant for my daughter's birthday, and they truly made the evening feel special. The customer service was 10/10 from start to finish. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. The food was phenomenal, and we left beyond satisfied. We have dined at many upscale steakhouses, and these were some of the best steaks we've ever had. We started with the shrimp cocktail, where you order each shrimp individually. It was worth every penny. The seafood is flown in fresh daily, and the shrimp were large, tender, and incredibly fresh. The horseradish and cocktail sauce were the perfect complement and absolutely delectable. They also offer an excellent wine list with great selections to pair with your meal. The ambiance is elegant and upscale while still feeling warm and inviting. While waiting for our entrées, they brought out a pan of buttery, flaky rolls that were impossible to resist. My daughter and I both ordered the 8 ounce filet, while my husband had the Caesar salad and meatballs. Every dish was savory, flavorful, and mouthwatering. The steaks practically melted in your mouth and were perfectly tender. The buttered corn was hands down one of the best side dishes, and the Brussel sprouts did not disappoint either. We also ordered the scalloped gouda potatoes, and the portions were generous enough for the entire table to share. The three of us even had leftovers for the next day. To top off the celebration, they had my daughter choose a complimentary birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Overall, an exceptional dining experience that we can't wait to return to.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here. All of the staff were friendly from the hostess to our server Danny who took care of us. Our table was clean and our waters were kept full. Dimly lit restaurant with moderate noise level. We started with the crispy shrimp which was so flavorful and crispy. You can never go wrong with calamari, which was solid and delicious, love the peppers. I drank the coastal rita which was a refreshing margarita, would definitely order again. For my entree I got the 12oz filet mignon with the brussel sprouts as a side (which is served in a way meant to be shared.) The filet is served on a 500° plate so it continues cooking . I prefer medium well so it was a lil too pinkish initially but eventually got there. Tasted great though! Everyone else enjoyed their dishes as well! We ordered dessert which was complimentary for my friend's birthday. So yummy! Great service, food, and ambience.

We have dined here for date nights, as well as special occasions. It is/was one of my favorites in Phoenix. I typically can say it's a 5*. This time it was closer to 3.5*, but I'm rounding up since it is typically better than it was the night we went recently. Pros 1. Beautiful decor and luxurious vibe 2. Most of the staff is professional Cons 1. About 1/3 of the oysters were not shucked well and had shell and/or sand on them. 2. Music that didn't fit the vibe. I forget what was playing but it seemed like dentist's office music. It was bad enough to notice that it was something that seemed out of place. 3. The young guys who served the sides seemed high. They plopped the food on our plates and had it dripping and extremely messy on the sides of the serving dishes. One of the guys dropped some of the spinach/artichoke dip on the floor and didn't seem to notice or care. Someone else came by later to clean it up.

Still my fave spot for seafood in Scottsdale and probably my fave overall in the Phoenix area. Service was excellent and our food was good all the way around. I had the arctic char and scallop potatoes + mussels. Ambiance was especially good this time because we were seated in the area with the private booths and a view into the kitchen. It was an early birthday celebration and the experience was great.

I recently dined at Ocean 44 and had an exceptional experience. The atmosphere is the perfect balance between intimate and upscale, making it an ideal spot for either a business dinner or a date night. The service was welcoming throughout the evening. We started with the pull-apart bread, which was warm, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. I ordered the ribeye, and it was cooked perfectly with incredible flavor in every bite. My friends ordered the NY strip and the pasta with mussels, and both dishes looked amazing. The quality of the food, service, and ambiance made for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, meeting clients, or enjoying a night out with friends, Ocean 44 delivers on every level. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning.

Visited for my fiancé's birthday. The food?? One damn word. DELICIOSO We ordered the roasted spanish octopus, the truffle fries and the surf and turf. The highlight was definitely the octopus dish. Tender.. flavorful.. a quick of spice.. well balanced. Still day dreaming of it My wife and I did think the presentation of the surf and turf could be improved as well as the seasoning for the steak. The steak did need salt. Maybe a chimichuri sauce to dip would be good for this one just because it was a little dry (we ordered medium-rare) However!!!! The LOBSTER?? DELICIOSO again, tender, buttery and just perfect size! The ambience here was very nice for a special ocassion. They do have valet but the garage is right across so it's super easy anyway! We also wanted to applaud the service dynamic here!! They have the waiter and A LOT of sous chefs helping with delivering food, cleaning off plates and even sweeping off the table. You can tell everyone is so attentive even if it was holiday season and a SATURDAY. They were on it. Amazing job.

We've been here a few times, and our last visit were seated a smaller dining room with just a few tables it was quieter and helped us be able to hear one another better. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and it was incredible -- a huge portion, cooked absolutely perfectly. The sides were great, the crème brûlée corn stole my heart. Service is great, cute little birthday card when we arrived for us.

This was my first time at Ocean 44, a 16-year wedding anniversary dinner courtesy of Mr P. We made reservations ahead of time, and did not have any wait for our table. There was a very nice ambiance throughout the restaurant, and I appreciated that the music was a mixture that seemed to be a Gen X construct. We were jamming. Or in the vein of Bob Marley or Club Nouveau, "We be jammin'". The staff who served us throughout the night was top notch. Every fork was replaced on queue with empty plates whisked away and empty cups promptly filled. Our main server was a delightful ginger named Joe. (I'm allowed to say that because I too am a ginger). He was more than knowledgeable regarding the menu and beverages and accoutrement to best accompany entrees. We were checked on the perfect amount of times, and courses we're impeccably paced. When our beverages arrived, so did warm, buttery croissant style bread, and both an anniversary card and birthday card for Mr P, proving the incredible hospitality of the restaurant, as well as a truly individualized experience. This rang true at the end as well, when a surprise cake was packaged for us at the conclusion of our dinner, compliments of the restaurant. I will also jump ahead and add that we received a phone call the very next afternoon, making sure that we had a wonderful experience and welcoming any feedback that we may have. We began with the 2 piece caviar cones. I had never had caviar before, so I wasn't sure what it tasted like. It was pleasant, though I didn't taste the expected fishiness of a caviar at all. In fact, I thought it slightly overpowered by the petite green onion on top. But overall pleasant. We also added the Wood-Fired Spanish octopus. This was absolutely delightful! The octopus was cooked perfectly, with a great woody flavor. The fingerling potatoes and roasted cherry tomatoes were a perfect complement. For my main entree, I chose the New Bedford scallops, with a special of the day, the chicken fried lobster tail as an accompaniment. Both were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly as well. There was a green chili aioli to compliment the lobster that was to die for. Mr. P got the pepper-crusted tuna, which he absolutely loved. He added to this an 8 oz, petite wagyu filet. I am not a red meat eater, but this was seasoned and cooked perfectly rare, with a crust on top that was magnificent. For the table, we ordered two sides: a wild mushroom arrangement, and a sweet corn brulee. Both were absolutely worth writing home about. The sweet corn was exactly what it sounds like - a creme brulee that just happened to be like a creamed corn. It was so very good. Needless to say, we needed a box to take home a good amount of this meal. We did opt for dessert, from which we chose a simple berry mixture with cream. All of the berries were sweet and ripe, and the cream was delicate yet hearty and not at all oily. I happen to wash this down with a delightful cappuccino. This was a pricy meal, but it was one that was planned for for not one, but two special occasions, making for a great date night. I can't gush enough about our server Joe and his assistants. They really made our experience phenomenal, and we would willfully return over and over again.

Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Delicious food and swanky atmosphere. We were seated next to a service table and there were a few guys (employees) chatting away with f-bombs thrown in, which was extremely surprising, but other than that we really enjoyed our experience. The complimentary rolls were amazing; so tasty that I couldn't stop at one. The crispy shrimp deviled eggs were SO delicious; I've had cravings ever since. The menu offers lots of appetizer, potato and vegetable side options. (The only thing I would mention is that the Torched Scallop appetizer is just that - torched only so they are raw scallops.) The drinks were interesting and tasted great too. Overall a great meal in a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful decor.

Maine Lobster escargot- Not a fan!

I decided to come here and enjoy a couple of appetizers and a glass of wine after my hair appointment at Sachi. I did not have a reservation, but they were able to seat anyway. However, I was told that I needed to be done by 6:45. That was fine because I arrived at about 415 so they gave me plenty of time to eat. One of my girlfriends also joined me as well and as usual, we sat at the bar. The bartenders were fantastic....very personable with great customer service. I can't remember the female's name, but she made a wonderful spicy margarita for me. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the lobster escargot, and I wasn't a fan of it. It had a mornay sauce that was more like a soufflé, and I just felt that that over-powered the lobster. Also, it was way more mornay sauce than lobster. It did have a little bit of caviar on the top but again that was lost because of all of the Mornay sauce. I ordered the oysters Rockefeller with a side of a couple of scallops. Both the scallops and the oysters Rockefeller were fantastic! In fact, the next time I go, I will definitely order that for an entree. Overall, if you want good seafood and get service, this is definitely a place to come to.

My husband and I won "Date Night for a Year" at Ocean 44 during the auction portion of the Fresh Start Gala at the Phoenician Resort. We had the privilege of dining at Ocean 44 every month for a year, such an awesome experience. We pretty much know the menu inside and out. The service at Ocean 44 is excellent and the food is fantastic. They give you cards on special occasions, call the next day to see how the meal was. They bring warm damp scented towels between courses to clean your hands. Since we dined every month they knew our cocktail order before we sat down. Everything about Ocean 44 is five star! We usually requested a table with a view of the kitchen because it was more private, quieter, and fun to watch the back of the house do their thing. A few times we requested the room with the "trees." We liked the ambiance in that space as well. We liked to start with their Oysters. Always a great selection. Fresh, clean, and we love the accompaniments they serve with them, perfection! The Heirloom Tomato and King Crab is a stand out appetizer for me. The chilled lump crab and fresh avocado on top of slices of heirloom tomatoes with a drizzle of basil puree is beyond refreshing! Love the chilled knife it's served with. The Maine Lobster Escargot topped with caviar is an interesting appetizer. It's their twist on traditional escargot. It's very rich but worth trying at least once as it's very unique. You also can't go wrong with the Chicken Fried Lobster Tails. They taste exactly how they sound and come with a green chili aioli. They have a Wood Roasted Shellfish section on the menu. We liked their mussels. The sauce is so flavorful...caramelized onions and white wine. It's a large portion that could easily be an entree. My favorite is the Chilean Seabass or sometimes they have a Striped Bass on special. Both are prepared perfectly. The Seabass cuts like butter. The Stripped Bass is flaky and comes topped with Lump Crab, it's delicious. I also love their Scallops, they melt in your mouth. My husband loves their steaks. He likes the NY Strip and Filet Mignon, but the Wagyu was his favorite because it's so rich and savory. What's awesome is you can add anything to any dish, a few scallops or a crab cake to make it surf and turf. Siegfried's Au Gratin Potatoes as a side are a must! The caramelized onions and gouda cheese is next level! The Corn Crème Brûlée is outstanding. It's sweet and has a golden brown caramelized sugar crust topping. The Wild Mushrooms are another favorite and so is the fire roasted cauliflower. Our top three desserts are the Warm Vanilla Carmel Cake, Key lime Pie, and the Coconut Cream Pie. They also have a Benign Tree that comes with dipping sauces. It's a fun way to present dessert if you're dinning with multiple people. Ocean 44 is impressive, serves high quality food, and is the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion. We no longer go every month as our "Date Night for a Year" ended, but we still go on special occasions.

I see on your menu some great fish but a lot of shellfish. Can you accommodate shellfish allergies?

We absolutely can and have many non-shellfish options.

I don't care about a kids menu. Just wondering if kids are allowed and if so do you guys have any high chairs?

    We do have high chairs

Do you have a kids menu?

Unfortunately we don’t have a kids menu. We do have a buttered noodles available upon request

Do they allow kids or just adults?

I dont see why they wouldnt allow kids. I have seen other kids in the restaurant, its just a nice place so if your kid wants to run around and scream maybe not the place

Is there sugar in the seasoning on the tomahawk steak?

Hi Yvonne, Yes there is some sugar in the seasoning.

Do they offer outdoor seating? And, if so, can you reserve an outdoor table?

Unfortunately, we do not offer outdoor seating.

I see that you have a dress code. Would classic style black and white vans shoes be appropriate or should I go buy dress shoes for this occasion?

Hello, we have no restrictions on footwear! Look forward to seeing you soon.

Do ocean44 provide free cake for birthday or can I bring the cake?

They brought a nice dessert and a birthday card for my husband when we celebrated there. Everything is first class. You will not be disappointed!!!

About how much should I take? And do they take cash? I want to take my girl for our anniversary and never been to here before

Hello! We look forward to you celebrating your anniversary at Ocean 44. On average each guest spends roughly about $125. We do allow cash!

How much would I spend for 2 people?

Hi Jesus, generally speaking depending on the choice of food and drinks our average per person spend is about $125. So you may be looking at about $250 for the two of you. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out.

Do you have any seating for four at a table or booth (not AT the bar) for Happy Hour?

Thank you so much for reaching out! At this time we do not offer happy hour. We do open at 4pm daily in the bar with full menu and 5pm for the rest of the dining room.…

Do you offer any outdoor dining?

    Yes

What is the best way to place a curbside order? online? call?

Hello Timothy, I is best to go through our online portal on our website and choose the curbside menu. Thank you.

Is the complimentary bread they serve pillsbury biscuits?

Good, Lord, no! I would describe it as ultra thin layers of cinnamon roll dough rolled up with butter between the layers. Made fresh, in-house.

Are guests allowed to bring in wine? Corkage fee?

Hello Nate, unfortunately Arizona liquor laws do not allow for outside wine to be brought in premis. Please let me know if I can assist you any further.

Is there a dress code? What should we wear?

Dress nice. Sunday best. Dresses and slacks.

Coming with a party this Thursday. Is there any live music?

    No there is not

Does Oceans 44 have any Happy Hour specials?

There is no happy hour at Ocean but perhaps in the future they may change their minds?!

What we didn't realize at the time was that we had stumbled upon one of those dishes that would stick with us! So when Liquor Pig closed, we were genuinely sad to see it go, but then delighted to learn that the same chef was spearheading Wayward and, most importantly, that the legendary bone marrow poutine made its way onto the new menu. And thankfully, it's still just as memorable! The bone marrow is incredibly luscious, rich, and decadent, and the whole dish is the perfect indulgent pairing for Wayward's creative cocktails. The portion is also a great size for two people to share, especially since it's definitely a rich dish. We also tried the Jaew Chicken which was tasty and definitely a little different from what I'd normally order. It was a nice addition to the meal, but honestly, the poutine is the reason we'll keep coming back to this place! While walking through the restaurant, I noticed quite a few tables enjoying the bone in short rib taco board and those portions are serious. That platter could easily feed four people, so it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're dining with a group. All in all, I'm happy that Wayward has kept one of my favorite dishes from the Liquor Pig days alive. If you're looking for creative cocktails with something rich and indulgent to snack on, do yourself a favor and order the bone marrow poutine!

There was no hostess, and the waitstaff seemed to be limited; we didn't know this was just a 'walk-in and grab a seat at any table' type of a setup - We ordered: +the Truffle Tots - did not expect what this dish was; the romesco sauce was just not good +a California maki roll - the imitation crab meat had an off taste to them, and it wasn't tightly rolled so everything fell apart +and, the Chicken Wings - this was covered in some type of a sticky/hoisin type of a sauce; the chicken was NOT cooked through, and we thought we were going to get sick We ordered the Blueberry Dreams (prepared with buffalo trace bourbon, lillet rouge, blueberry lemon, honey, and ginger) and the Spicy Margarita (prepared with deleon blanco tequila, cucumber, jalapeno, and lime) - both were made very strong and were aesthetically pleasing. We were exploring Old Town Scottsdale last February when we came across this spot. We were already…read moredeep within the 2026 olympics, so, we thought it might be neat to try curling. Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. There's literally something for everyone, and definitely check out the Frybread Lounge for some great Native American fusion cuisine Chee

It feels brand new and the staff is super kind and friendly. - Super cute venue and I love the decor and the AI generated duck photos on the walls, LOL! - Expected board games with the name, but was pleasantly surprised to find miniature versions of bowling, axe throwing and curling! - This spot is perfect for company get-together's, which is what I was there for, birthday parties or just a low-key hang out with friends. Highly recommend checking out House Rules, especially with our summers being so hot. This is a great indoor activity. My birthday is coming up in August and even thinking of throwing a small birthday thing here with friends/family!

He knew the menu inside and out and we also took most of his recommendations. We chose food first, then talked to the Som who was professional and awesome as well. First time here and thought oh no this is in the W where Sushi Roku used to be, let's see how it is. And it didn't disappoint. We started off with the meatballs. The sauce was fantastic not too salty and not too sweet it was great. The beef carpaccio was also amazing. Not a huge fan of the mushrooms but they were good and the shaved parm and toasted pine nuts were a great added touch. We ordered a bunch of stuff and shared. The chicken parm yes was awesome. Filling! It is their staple and it should be ordered. $68 for it was a little high IMO for chicken, but it was a double breasted. We got two pastas the lobster fettuccine and the Vodka pasta. Both were great you can see the pics. I personally loved the Vodka pasta mixed in with the burrata. The place was remolded nicely. We sat toward the back but go the whole view of the restaurant. It was decorated nice and they had their theme and it works. The bar looked cool. They had the drink cart guy and he seemed to be making people happy and they were all recording him. Overall I'd be back it was fantastic.
