The view of Camelback Mountain at the Elements restaurant was absolutely breathtaking. I was seated overlooking the pool and the lovely sunset since my reservation was around 18:30. It made perfect sense to come eat dinner here since I just finished up at the spa. My server was extremely kind and accomodating. To start, I ordered the Caesar salad which was DELICIOUS. It consisted of chopped romaine, parmigiano reggiano, garlic pangrattato, & caesar dressing. 10/10. I love Caesar salads and this one was definitely unique! For my main course, I ordered the Wagyu NY strip which was cooked to legitimate perfection. Medium, tender & melt in your mouth. 1,000/10. It was served with olive oil smashed potato, seasonal vegetables, & chimichurri. I finished every morsel of this plate, that's how amazing it was! Finally for dessert, I ordered the Pavlova which consisted of aquafaba meringue, passionfruit reduction, & berries. It was light, airy and had a side of sweetness. My entire meal at Elements was one for the books. I highly recommend eating dinner here for the views and sunset, even if you're not directly staying there at the hotel grounds. My husband brought me here for my birthday. The views are amazing, especially at sunset. Our server was friendly and attentive. The staff has no problem taking pictures for you with the beautiful background which was really nice of them. I have to eat gluten and dairy free and ordered the market fish. I had to get it without the sauce because the sauce had dairy. Instead of substituting, they just gave me a plain fish with nothing on it, not even salt. In addition, my husband was supposed to get extra vegetables in lieu of gnocchi and he got 6 small slivers of squash. My plate had more than his with "extra vegetables". I might give this place another chance, but the food was a let down for us. The gluten free/dairy free dessert option added 1 star to my initial 3 star review. read more

I had planned to fly into Scottsdale and have dinner at Elements. It was an important dinner. So, I called to plan the evening. I had a wonderful conversation with Ashley who promised to relay my request to the management team. When we arrived, I was greeted by the hostess and shortly thereafter we were escorted to the absolute perfect table. The staff even decorated the table for us! Shannon was our server and she was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. We shared oysters, crab cakes, Caesar salad and filet mignon. We enjoyed everything! We were told that everyone was swamped, nothing was ready, but we arrived to the dining room with more than half the tables empty. I do believe they had open reservations available too. The food took a reasonable time to arrive, tasted great, but we had a view of the room. Could barely see outside! We picked this place for the view. Also -1 star because they went so far as to put chocolate bark on the receipt (0.00) but did not give us any. No note, we had to ask the busboy what was happening with it. Elements came highly recommended by a friend, so of course I spent my last night in Scottsdale here to see what the hype was about! Needless to say, the experience lived up to the hype. I started with the crispy rice and it was delicious. It had the perfect amount of crunch, yet the perfect amount of flavor too. They were also very filling, so I was almost satiated when my entree arrived. Speaking of entrees, let's give a standing ovation for the braised beef. It was unbelievable! Tender, flavorful, savory, and overall PERFECTION!! I have not been this impressed by a dish in a while. The accompanying mashed potatoes were cool, and the green beans were just ok. We couldn't have possibly chosen a better place for the occasion. We rented out a private room and had a waitress exclusive to our party, which was very nice! I'd heard so many great things about this place, so while we were visiting the spa, we figured it'd be the perfect way to end our day and I'm glad we checked it out. The location is gorgeous, and the views? Absolutely killer. The hostess was super sweet and gave us a quick tour since it was our first time. She pointed out a few of he guy r favorite spots, and we ended up sitting outside by the pool. Best seat in the house, hands down. We started with the spicy tuna roll and the burrata. The tuna roll was decent. Nothing wrong with it, but also nothing special. Just kind of standard. Same with the burrata. It was fine, but I've had better elsewhere. I'd probably skip both next time. For the main, we split the chicken entrée and added a side of Brussels sprouts. The presentation was beautiful, and even though we shared the dish, the portions were solid. Out of the two, the Brussels sprouts were the standout. The chicken was cooked well, but overall the dish just didn't wow me. I was hoping for something a little more elevated, especially given the setting. Dessert was the star, beautiful presentation and incredible lemon flavor. It felt elevated and totally worth it. All in all, I loved the vibe of the place. The staff was friendly and attentive. Food-wise, it was hit or miss for me, but if it's on your list, I'd still say go for it, at the very least, go for the views. read more

Love the location of this restaurant that you are able to see the beautiful view of the valley. We come at a time that just right after sunset, amazing colors seem like a majestic painted art. Service was OK was really nice knowing all the specials and server explain it each dishes, spray thoroughly. We could have more water throughout the dinner. The Tomohawk Steak is enough for 3 to 4 people to share. We love the taste and portion of it. Salmon and halibut were OK, they were a bit dry, but I love the sauce that goes with the dishes. The ambiance here is nice. We sat in the main area where everyone walks through but it didn't feel like there was too much traffic. The view while dining is also beautiful when the sun is setting. My husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary here and we also stayed at The Sanctuary Resort during the weekend. (A separate review for the resort will be posted) we ordered the Halibut and Braised Beef as our entrees and my husband ordered the mushrooms as a side. The halibut tasted AMAZING! It was buttery and slightly creamy. The crust was slightly crispy but the halibut was still very soft. The braised beef was also good. I had to add salt and pepper for it to be to my liking and once added it was really good! I would order the halibut for myself next time though. The wait time for our food on a Saturday night around 7:30pm was a bit long (an hour) but the staff was very attentive during this time. Due to it being our anniversary we received a complimentary dessert and since we displayed such patience during our wait, two additional complimentary desserts were provided. Our waiter was insanely friendly, thoughtful and FAST! Usually you'd think waiting for entrees at a fancier establishment such as Elements would take "hours" but the efficiency in the kitchen is something to talk about because we truly didn't have to wait long before our food started arriving. The sashimi was OUT OF THIS WORLD fresh and phenomenal. I highly recommend you come Thursday - Sunday evening to sample some of their offerings on the sushi menu. However if you can't make it one of those evenings, the rest of the menu has a large selection of mouth watering entrees to pick from so you won't be disappointed. My friend and I attended the PlumpJack Estate Winery Wine Dinner at Elements and absolutely loved the entire event. The service, food, wines and host from PlumpJack Winery were all excellent. Upon arrival, you were checked in and assigned a table with open family style seating. My only comment to this was I wished they would of just assigned seats. It was difficult to find seats together because groups had already commandeer spots. Some groups were broken up because of seats already saved. The evening started with a Tray Passed Reception from 5:45-6:15 of 4 different horderves and glasses of Rose champagne. Dinner started promptly at 6:15 with an introduction from the host of PlumpJack Winery. The menu consisted of 5 courses. First dish were Oysters. Second dish was a Fish Carpaccio. Third dish was Duck. Forth dish was a Beef Tenderloin and ending the courses with a Chocolate Fig Tart. All the dishes were paired with a nice pour of PlumpJack Wines. All the servers were very professional in delivering dishes and taking away dishes and glasses. The dishes were all amazing in flavor and presentation. So happy we planned a breakfast at Elements during a bachelorette trip to Scottsdale! The resort is absolutely stunning and the views are breathtaking. The restaurant is a bit more sophisticated, feels more like a banquet hall so not exactly bachelorette vibes but a relaxing start to our day. The server was very attentive and quick in taking our order and making recommendations. Overall, the food was mediocre.. the crispy rice bites were likely the best. I just got a salad which was plated well, but tasted water down and lacking flavor. No significant complaints from anyone but the food could be better. We had heard good things, but also knew this was a pricey spot that people tended to praise for its exclusive location and high prices. We booked a table for 4 for sunset. Two of us were celebrating big birthdays. I had mentioned this when reserving, and again when we checked in for our reservation. The views are very nice, but the glare was blinding. We had to ask a manager in a very unprofessional looking Ill fitting jacket, to please lower the shades. Apparently they were broken and missing. One shade was not attached properly and leaned into the window: an unexpected and simple maintenance issue in a high end resort. Our waiter was nice but not professional and our drink order took 15 minutes--my cocktail wasn't even cold and as a person who rarely drinks, the complete lack of alcohol was evident as well. We had to ask for bread service ( whilst watching every other nearby table served bread immediately). The bread was fantastic when it finally was delivered. We began with several appetizers. A delicious crab cake, lovely tempura fried wild mushrooms, a shrimp cocktail with tasteless shrimp and mediocre cocktail sauce and a revolting appetizer called "beef fritters" that would have been better off at Applebees. The steady stream of women who seemed to be influencers, with their phones in selfie movie mode parading past was off putting and a bit low class. I guess there's nothing that can be done this day and age to encourage people to have genuine conversations. We were so disappointed in the service and the increased pressure from our attendant to place our orders that we left after the appetizers. Altho the server could never remember whose birthdays it was, he did bring a "free" birthday dessert, which was also rather disappointing. For comparison, we had lunched at the moderately priced Henry. They brought a birthday card to the table, complimentary champagne AND a fabulous lemon olive oil cake with strawberry gelato and a generous and beautiful serving of berries which was 10x more impressive and delicious than the much too rich butter cake with a teaspoon of vanilla ice cream and a blackberry, raspberry and one strawberry that Elements provided; but they did write " happy birthday" in chocolate! I can say we all felt it was not a welcoming place, where we felt valued as customers. It was far too pricey for the sub par drinks, service ( I got up to get our table silverware as we tired of waiting) and dated interiors, lacking maintenance. Even the ladies room was tiny and disappointing for such a talked about resort. If you want a great meal with beautiful views and want to spend money in a similar way, please skip Elements and go to Lon's at the Hermosa! read more

As for the food, there was limited vegan options. Our table got the baby beets with the yogurt and blue cheese on the side as a starter, I got the veggie vibe sushi roll, and the coconut panna cotta. The food was pretty good, but I wish the portion for the veggie roll was bigger since it only came with 5 pieces. He just gave us our check without asking if we wanted another drink or anything else... Yet the table next to us got a full run down of the menu, offered bread, and even tone of voice was different. Additionally, the view was not even good. No where good to take pictures either.... A let down for sure especially being from out of town. We had an amazing time at Elements for my husband's birthday dinner. The restaurant accommodated our large group and gave us a table with a beautiful view of Camelback Mountain. The drinks were great. I love the Mekong cocktail and the espresso martini was good too. My husband and I shared the beer carpaccio, sea bass and gnocchi sardi (entree portion). We liked the carpaccio, but regretted not splitting a salad instead. It was very tasty, but we did not think it was worth $28. The sea bass was amazing as always. I will always order the sea bass here because it is perfectly cooked! I absolutely loved the gnocchi sardi. It was not a potato gnocchi so it was very flight. The tomato butter was amazing! The shrimp and cuttlefish were delicious in it. There was spice and great flavor from the roasted tomato butter and basil. I hope they keep this on the menu! My husband also had a nice butter cake come out to him with a candle. It was not too sweet and had a spongy consistency. The vanilla ice cream with it was yummy too. They should add ththis dessert on their regular menu! I wish we could have itemized the bill. I asked the host if we could split the bill, but he said their system is a little older so it would be difficult to itemize. Booked reservations for an anniversary dinner due to anticipating a night here. We had a lovely dinner due to the scenic view, atmosphere inside and next door to Jade Bar. Although we made reservations online around sunset with the arrangement for Anniversary and an added note for window seating; No arrangement was accounted for as we were placed to the back wall. We told the busser about our occasion as the server was absent the majority of the night. We ordered: Wagyu dumplings which did not disappoint at all, Korean BBQ Short Ribs that fell off smoothly, and Two Wash Farms Roasted Chicken complimented with whipped potatoes that we enjoyed. This luxury dinner was made up due to the quality and variety of tastings we immensely relished. This place is really 2.5 stars at best but since their view is so beautiful, I'll give them 3 stars. I've been here more than a handful of times and realize that every time I have been here, I can't remember what I had, so that's probably a sign this place is so-so. Good place to entertain out of town guests to show them the beautiful view and its good for business meals. We came here for AZ Restaurant Week and it was kind of a letdown, really. I got the oysters trio and the mussels. The oysters were great. I just wished there were a few more. Mussels were good too. Portion was smaller than any Belgian mussel dish I usually get. My friend did not do AZ Restaurant Week and she had the poke bowl that the waiter recommended and when it came, the portion size was terribly small. She had to then order an appetizer and nothing was that appealing and went with the fries. Desserts were really disappointing. My angel food cake with strawberries was barely edible. My friends cheesecake was also not very good. I'll have to say though that my drink was pretty good and what I can remember about this place is that drinks are well made. So my recommendation is this, skip food and come here for a few drinks and watch the sunset. read more

We dined for lunch today where the service lacked professionalism and conventional skills to serve . There was construction going on during our lunch which the Manager said " sorry we have to get pictures hung " our plates were tossed in front of us with lettuce that looked a day old . The fanciest and most romantic place my husband and I have ever eaten!! The view from our booth was so lovely. You could see the night sky and the pool. It was a little bit loud because they had a full house that night and the bar was full, but it quieted down later. The food was really good. I ate salmon, which was the best salmon that I have ever tasted!!!!!! My husband got the short ribs that he really liked as well. But we liked the salmon more. Total of $100+ for the whole meal. As for service, it was okay. A bit slow for my taste, but very polite. We did self parking down the hill be valet, which was close enough to walk to the restaurant, about 5 minutes up some stairs. If you do valet, it is closer to the restaurant, but we prefer self parking. They also have us a free cupcake to celebrate our anniversary, just the cake part was really dry so wasn't really tasty. My wife and I dined here on a Monday night for a late Valentine's dinner. The setting, in the shadows of Camelback Mountain, is undeniably beautiful, with truly stunning views. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service did not match the surroundings. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone asked about drinks, another 15 minutes for them to arrive, and way too long before our food order was taken. When the server returned, he went straight to entrees without asking about starters -- a step that would have made sense much earlier in the meal. The specials were presented with minimal detail; the branzino was described simply as "branzino," with no explanation of preparation or accompaniments. Basic questions required repeated trips to the kitchen to obtain answers. The menu descriptions themselves felt generic, and the food largely followed suit. The heirloom tomato burrata was the standout of the evening, while the baby beet salad was underwhelming. My wife enjoyed the Chilean sea bass. I ordered the pan-roasted chicken, which was bland and unremarkable. We also weren't reminded that the chicken included Brussels sprouts (though it is listed on the menu), which resulted in our separate order of Brussels sprouts being unnecessary. At this price point, we expected a more polished and cohesive experience. The ambiance and location are exceptional, but the execution -- particularly on the service side -- fell short. To bring back the great memories, we got there a little early so we could have a cocktail in the bar while we waited for our dinner reservation. Things have definitely changed but the service remains untouched! The bartenders were friendly and great to talk to. (shout out to Hurley). The bar had filled up by the time we walked to our dinner table. This was a whole other amazing experience! Our waiter was awesome and the food was to die for! I have never had better Halibut nor had my hubby had a better filet. Both melted in our mouths and the hollandaise sauce that came with his steak was amazing! Brought my family here to celebrate son's birthday. The venue is gorgeous especially at sunset. And the service was great. But the food is not what we had hoped it would be. Two of us ordered the braised beef which was very dry. We asked for some kind of sauce which helped but still disappointing. my son got the duck confit cacio e pepe which was almost too salty to eat. I would have sent it back but he wouldn't. Daughter got the fillet Mignon. The steak was fine but the veggies were under cooked and hard. Everything was over salted from the appetizers to the chicken. The desserts were lovely. With a bottle of wine and tip the meal was over $800. NOT worth it even with the stunning view. We will not be back. Our go to is Ocean Prime and we will continue to frequent that establishment. Live and learn. read more
