Been here twice: a Saturday and a Sunday after 10pm. The weekend night girls who work behind the bar make the experience suck. In the 2 times I've been here, they are 2 for 2, 100% sht experience rating. I've had problems with staff each time I went even though I paid for my drink with my lady, sat there and drank minding my own business. Sadly This is my local bar. Had a few drinks while waiting for car to be fixed. It seems to normally be a biker bar, but was only a bunch of louder older people during happy hour. You probably should use cash, but my card was used with a minimum. Beers are around three bucks still and I also tried the mozzarella sticks. Been here many many times. This last time was horrible. The bartender looked at my ID and stated it was expired. It showed on the ID that it doesn't expire until 2027.. as a fellow bartender I tried to explain how out of state IDs work and she refused to have a conversation.. she threw my wife's and her friends ids at them and yelled that she wouldn't serve them.. both people being 30years old... she allowed bar guest to scream at us to leave when we tried to tell her we had been there many many many times before. Called us liars and overall was horrible. It makes me wonder when the last time she actually did her bartending training because AZ ID laws changed over two years ago... clearly not up to date on her bartending license. read more

Our waitress was very on point with her attendance to our cocktail and some snacks. We had the wings and man they were amazing and delicious .They were crispy and to our table supper fast . I love going to different bars and hopefully finding new spots to chill at and have a drink but I don't want to deal with a woman or anyone for that matter who acted snobby. This place has been around for a while and with it just being a "bar only" seems rare these days... I agree with most everyone's reviews. Yes it's a dive bar but that doesn't bother me much as long as I'm hanging with friends. They also don't take credit cards so bring cash...at least that was the situation when I was there last. You can not bring in any drinks what-so-ever (learned that the hard way...THROW OUT THAT REDBULL RIGHT NOW! okay okay geesh), but you can bring in food if you want - the staff seemed fine with it. They have an enclosed patio with some pool tables where people can smoke etc. Drinks are cheap but made decently. read more

Unfortunately I had a terrible first experience. I just moved to this area of town and decided to stop in to Larry's on my way home from work. It was around midnight, I sat at the bar, and immediately made a new friend. New friend had ordered a Green Tea shot (which was already sitting in front of her), and offered to buy me one too. Bartender makes me the same shot too, no problem so far. Next round of drinks was a whole different story... I had gone to the restroom, and when I came back, same new friend had ordered another Green Tea shot. I wanted to buy this round for us, and asked the bartender if I could also have another Green Tea, and if this round could be on my tab. Bartender responds with "Or! You could try ordering everything at the SAME TIME!!" I was completely floored. I've been in this industry for 15 years, literally just got off my own bartending shift at my restaurant, and have never been treated so rudely in my life. Even new friend was shocked, asked me to join her for a cigarette and profusely apologized saying this bartender is normally never this rude, and to please come back. I get it to a point.. it can be annoying when people order mixed shots at different times, but news flash that's called your job. I had just gotten done bartending and dealing with the same thing for the past 6 hours in a crowded bar downtown and would never dream of treating a guest this way. In fact, if I did, I certainly wouldn't have a job right now. It didn't seem busy at all, there were maybe 4 of us sitting at the bar, and probably 10-12 people total in the building. We come back from smoking, and to her credit the bartender quickly apologized. I nodded, New friend and I asked for our tabs. Great prices, for me, 2 vodka sodas and 2 Green Teas was $19. I paid my $19, handed bartender $10 tip and told her I wished her a better night. Glad I made a new friend, but meeting up with her somewhere else next time, never coming back to Larry's. read more

Well, the time has come. Larry's has been around forever! I visited on New Year's Eve morning, (3rd shift worker, so don't judge!). Cocktails were generously poured, and oh, try the Bloody Mary. WITH HOT PICKLES! Sorry celery, you don't compare. Larry's wins on this one. Good music, too bad no food but no worries, still love the fact that the place is CLEAN and very friendly. The tender introduced us by name to the others there and was very Casual and entertaining. Careful of the front door. It opens with great ease and elicits much laughter at the BANG against the wall.
