We always come here for the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at the hotel and get some drinks afterwards. Service is always prompt, even during those event nights. The menu is pretty much small bites and plates version of their Spanish restaurant, Prado. Usually they have live jazz music on busier nights. The grilled octopus app was tender and yet had a good smoky flavor from the wood fire grilling. Don't forget to show them your parking ticket to get it comped :) read more

Loved the cocktails especially the Spanish Gin and Tonic Menu, the tonic choices paired perfectly with the high value gins. The server was amazing at recommending cocktail choices and the vibe was amazing with the decor and Spanish guitar. My only complaint was the one app we had which was the bacon wrapped dates. Very small portion for the price and not high quality. The mains looked amazing and fair prices for the portions but we did not eat dinner there. read more

I think I've found a new go-to watering hole when I'm in the mood for a little higher-scale bar excursion. While treating ourselves to a little overnight "stay-cation" at the Omni, our little group ventured out to Mbar for a some nourishment and refreshment. Mbar is situated in the same space as Prado but in it's own area with a generous bar space and spacious lounge perfect for groups. We settled in to the latter which sports comfy couches along the walls and corners. The entire space is low-lit and though very open imparts a nice cozy and intimate feel. The menu features a nice assortment of Tapas including Wood-Grilled Lamb Chops, Chicken Pinchos, Brie Bruschetta and the like. There are a couple of Flatbread selections as well as the nice Wood-Fired Prado Double Burger topped with whipped Brie, jamon, Heirloom tomato and Gem lettuce on a soft buttermilk roll, which was my choice. A side of decently thick fries and small serving of ketchup on the side. While quite tasty, I wouldn't rank it among the best I've tried but you really wouldn't be doing yourself a disservice in trying it. You can also order from the Prado menu if you're in the mood for more traditional entrées. The wine selection is fairly generous and varied. I chose the zinfandel which had a nice jammy feel but wasn't overwhelming. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Our drinks arrived quickly, as did the food once ordered. What I really want to try on my next visit ( and there WILL be one...) is to just post up at the bar and enjoy some cocktails of more of the wine list. It just looks like a fine place to spend a little time in a truly nice setting. Next time... Do yourself a favor and stop in. I'm a fan. Four stars simply due to this being just my first visit. Overall, I would definitely recommend Mbar to anyone. read more

Went to MBar with some friends who were friends of the musicians playing that night. For starters, the music was phenomenal. The atmosphere was classy for sure. Being a resort bar, it's exactly what I'd expect - a pretty large space that has numerous smaller spaces which makes it feel more intimate than it truly is. I don't mind that, but the "couches" we were on were basically cheap cushions tossed onto a glossy wooden bench because they continuously slid all over the place. That aside, the place looked good and had a cool vibe at the time. Our server was wonderful. She was quite attentive and had some wonderful recommendations for putting together a charcuterie board. Though, this is where I'm a little miffed about pricing. Understanding that I'm at an upscale resort, I know that that prices will be high. However, it was the portions that got me here. $6 for 3 rather small cheese slices. $2 per slice. I understand cheese, especially high quality cheese like this, isn't cheap, but for $6, I think at least 4 small slices is fair, and also splits much more easily for couples sharing a board, I think. Meh. Price/portion griping aside, the board had all the right accouterments - an apple compote, toasted almonds, toasted bread, and olives. It was very nicely put together. I highly recommend the mahon on whatever board you are constructing. Will definitely be headed back there for a lovely date night soon. read more

One of my favorite Resort bars to go to. Have been there multiple times and always have had a good time. Bartenders are knowledgeable and there to assist with their specialty cocktails. They also serve a good selection of Spanish tapas which are all very tasty and I would definitely recommend the filet pintxos and the octopus. Many others are tasty as well. The resort itself is beautiful definitely worth checking out if you like going to resorts for dinner n drinks or just to chill at the pool. read more

This was my favorite place to eat while staying at the Omni. It's inside of Prado, but much more laid back. You can sit at a high top, a bar, or in the lounge area on a leather couch. The prices are also much more affordable than Prado. I loved everything I ordered there, and definitely plan on going again. I'm sure everything is good, but I absolutely recommend the Baby Baci for dessert! read more

If you're looking for a low-lit upscale bar with exceptional service, go to M Bar. My friend and I came here for a quick cocktail and we were far from disappointed! From the second I drove into the Montelucia, I was given complimentary valet service. From there, the valet manager walked me to the M bar, opened the door for me and welcomed me. At the bar, our drinks were made promptly. The drinks were a good size, and very well made. We ended up getting two drinks each during our visit. We sat down at the many couches they have around the bar, and a server took care of us from there. I didn't have cash to tip the valet at the time, so I asked him if they had a working ATM. He said they did but he wasn't sure if it was working, he then ran (literally) to the hotel lobby to check if it was working. I was very impressed by this, as things like this show the level of customer service that the employees are held to at the MBar and the Montelucia. Very impressed, will be coming back here for sure. read more

Mbar has a good, luxurious atmosphere. My drinks were made perfect, it's hard to mess up a dirty vodka martini. Sitting inside was a nice mood setting. Once moving outside, it was comfortable- got chilly but we were not sitting by the heat lamps on the patio part. Mbar is a great place to sit and enjoy a nice cocktail with friends. I will return and I hope to walk around and see more of the beautiful setting. read more

I enjoy coming here because the atmosphere is awesome and so is the food & drink. Poor service, great music... Just got home from the Mbar. After waiting 15 minutes for bar service I went to the bar, and its a good thing too. Keep reading... In the area directly across from the band there were three couples seated including us. Over the course of over an hour the server passed by us six or seven times and only served one of the three couples. This was amazing to me as everyone else we came in contact with was very courteous - the valet, the bartender, some guy driving by in a golf cart... After an hour, and right before we left the server came over and asked if we needed anything and that's when I asked, "Why has it taken an hour for you to ask if we needed anything?" She said, "It looked like you had everything you needed." I went to the hostess station directly next to where we were seated and after the hostess saw me taking the manager's business card she asked if she could do anything. I said, "We were seated right in front of you for over an hour and you're asking now that we're leaving?" She answered, "I'm sorry, I was very busy." I responded, "Too busy? I was directly in front of you." and I walked away. What kind of service do you expect when you're paying $13 for a drink? On the other hand, the music was great. A five person jazz band that started with some Al Green and Curtis Mayfield. After a few songs they moved into some great jazz. These guys are really good and I'll be watching them when they play in some other venue. read more

Pretty good prices for Happy Hour on drinks. Most everything is four or five bucks. The food selection is a bit higher and only contains four choices. The parking situation is shaky too around that time as most of the non-valet parking spots (which are located on bottom floor of garage) were full. I had to move some cart to snag the last spot at 5pm down there and no valet for this kid, although it is available. A few waitresses wandering around, but they weren't too efficient in returning for a second round of drinks. Overall, a place for rich tourists who don't mind dropping $30 for a piece of chicken. Grounds are Ok, but this resort is not as fancy as others in town. read more

I'm a local and enjoy coming here to cozy up with friends outside in the courtyard or inside on the couches while sipping on A-MAZING chocolate martinis. The staff is attentive and friendly. We had the quesedilla, bruchetta with tomatoes, and the fried calamari. Nice and tasty all. This is a nice bar with live Spanish music. The bar menu has many Spanish cocktails (none of which I tried) and they give you olives and nuts while you have your drinks. The bar was packed inside. Outside there were a few tables, but it was a bit cold. The service was great except the bartender did not want to take our large order, so he asked if we could wait for a cocktail waitress....strange? The best part of Mbar is their new bartender. We went there to see Michael. He used to be our bartender at Tommy Vs. He is so awesome. Super personable and will make sure you enjoy your drink. I had a wonderful zinfandel he recommended and the hubby had his typical Margarita on the rocks with salt. It's a hotel bar, so expect typical hotel pricing on drinks. They have some good tapas to choose from, ask for the calamari, but a grilled version (off the menu)... it's REALLY good. I've had a few of their drinks there, but I stick to the mojitos, but had plenty of others that were just as good. read more

Had great service here from a young man. I want to say his name was Justin. I came in with a rather large group and he took care of everyone promptly. I really enjoyed the handmade cocktails with fresh ingredients. He even took the time to write down a recipe for me of one of the drinks I really liked. First I will say that the place is really beautiful and jazz band was very good. I was with a large group, and the waitress got our order mixed up. They have a screwed up system. Waitress takes the order, then a guy from the kitchen brings out the food and doesn't know who to give it to? So he just puts the plates down anywhere? I had to get out of my seat to find the waitress, so she could figure out where the orders should go. She was polite, and apologetic about the confusion. The happy hour food was the worst i have tasted anywhere. We ordered all the items on the HH menu, and all the selections were tasteless, dry and overcooked. Only the burger was good. One person in our group said that this HH menu was 'new'. So maybe they just hired a new chef? Big mistake. I've had lots of HH items around town, this was awful. If I could give this 6 stars I would! Above all else, when I dine in at a restaurant I am looking for good service. The staff at Mbar exceeded my expectations by a landslide. The host this afternoon was a gentleman named Frank who was always smiling, very welcoming, and just overall seemed happy to have us in the restaurant. I immediately felt at home and was happy we chose Mbar for lunch. He even insisted we call him Grandpa Frank like are you serious? Can you get anymore welcoming than that? I love that guy! Our server was Aj and he was wonderful. He was very attentive to my friend's celiac disease and reassured us several times of the food products and made sure there was no cross contamination between ingredients. He was also very knowledgeable on the rest of the menu and made sure we were always attended to, never left us waiting and always anticipated what we needed before we had to ask. The food selection is limited compared to some, but all very tasty. You're not overwhelmed looking at the menu with the amount of choices they have and you have a good selection of panini's, salads, and sandwiches. We're probably going to make Mbar a regular thing after this more than pleasant lunch experience! P.S great mojitos! read more

Met a client/friend there for happy hour. Sat outside till the sun went down and moved inside. The ambiance is nothing short of phenomenal, both inside and out. Our server was Allison. She knows her trade. She is extremely friendly and helpful, and knows when we need service and doesn't sweep our dishes away as we have the last bite at our mouth. She also does not continue returning asking if we needed something nor ignoring us completely and leaving us to ask, "Where the heck is our server??" There is a large sitting area outside with firepits. The M Bar is a large, curved bar with plenty of seating both at the bar and around it. Whoever designed it knew what he/she was doing. I didn't have a chance to drink their signature cocktails this time, albeit my friend did, and I tasted both. One sip doesn't help me write a review, nor are they the types of drinks I'd order. I ordered their happy hour cab and merlot. Both were good. I had the grilled prawns and bruschetta. I thought the prawns were perfect. They truly were grilled and I wished I had more. There were two brushetta pieces, one with tomato and the other with small chunks of blue cheese and quinoa and I think some kind of preserve. I really liked the blue cheese bruschetta. The tomato one, it was good but didn't particularly stand out. I can't wait to go there again for the atmosphere, the service, and the food. read more

We had dinner reservations for 730 and wanted a little something to snack on before. We ventured into mbar, sat at the bar with Kyle and ordered the hummus, olives, and two drinks. The food was exactly what we wanted and the drinks were fresh citrus, perfect for summer! We almost ran late to our dinner reservation due to delightful conversation with the bartender who created an off the menu drink special for us! My fiancé and I ended up back at the bar after our dinner reservations to end the night with again great conversation and an after dinner (digestive) drink that Kyle hand crafted.
