Plating is absolutely GORGEOUS. Really nice ambiance, music, seating, area. The food was pretty bland. 1 cent champagne for ordering an entree, very very enticing!!!! What a great addition to the menu. Service was excellent, our server Kendall went above and beyond and made our experience there amazing.

I've been here a few times now and every visit has been really enjoyable. The food is delicious, and one of my favorite things is their Sunday breakfast deal where you order a breakfast entrée and it comes with a penny champagne bottle and your choice of juice. That is honestly hard to beat and feels pretty unique. And even though I don't remember what I ordered, I do remember finishing my breakfast so I know it was delicious. This is a great place to catch up with friends. The ambiance is really nice, it's outdoors, there's plenty of seating, and they're good at accommodating larger groups. I know a lot of people who host birthday brunches here, even with bigger parties, and it always seems to work out. There's also a bartender, which is a plus. I also really like that it's not overwhelmingly loud. Some places lean heavy into that vibe, but here you can actually talk and enjoy your time together. At the same time, they do host special DJ nights, and I've been to a few of their Bad Bunny nights on weekends, which are a lot of fun and a totally different energy. Overall, it's a fun spot that works for both relaxed brunches and livelier nights out. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.

Sunbar's an ideal place for brunch, especially since each entree comes with a bottle of champagne for mimosas. The brunch menu is small but full of promising dishes. Not a single person at my table complained about their meal, and I was really happy with the brunch special I got! -- smoked salmon bagel. I don't believe this is part of Sunbar's menu all the time, but I really wish it were because I enjoyed it :) The vibes here are cool. There are live DJ's here during brunch, making for a nice outing with friends.

Walked over to Sunbar after having sushi next door. After passing by this place earlier and hearing the music, my friends and I all wanted to check it out. The dj was playing some really good music! We grabbed a round of drinks at the bar and sat at one of the bigger tables. We were outdoors but the misting system was on so it helped a bit. We got a second round and as we were close to being done, the power went out in the area! We had to wait a bit so staff could figure out how to close everyone out. They were eventually able to find a way and we headed to the next spot indoors with ac lol. Each round was $51 for 5 drinks. Not bad! This would be a nice patio bar when it's cooler for sure. Especially, if it's the same dj playing the same type of music!

Came here for a Saturday brunch and it was great. We were quickly seated and the service was quick and very friendly. Shoutout to our lovely waitress I'm so sorry I forgot your name. Chicken and waffles were very yummy. All the entrees come with a $0.01 bottle of champagne which is awesome but if you want juice it's like $4 for a tiny little vile of juice lol. Great music and great vibes. Would love to come back.

False advertisement. Picture below. Brunch stops being served at 4pm. Sometimes dinner will be served before 5pm but the standard is that dinner isn't served until 5pm. I tried to order something from the brunch menu at 4:10pm and was told that I couldn't do so and that food from the brunch menu stops at 4pm. Not a happy customer.

    Is the patio pet friendly?

What time does brunch on the weekends go until?

Seems like they flex the end time as long as they are busy. I'll say my experience was I showed up at 3:30 and they had recently stopped serving brunch.

Do they have a phone number for take out?

We enjoyed some light bites as well - the Edamame Hummus and Shishito Peppers. Both were fantastic! I love that their menu points out which items are gluten-free... and our server even warned me that the plantain chips in the Edamame Hummus could have cross-contamination... so I very much appreciate that heads up! I love the giant disco balls and the aesthetic of this place. We started with the appletini and lemongrass highball (non-alcoholic). My friend and I ended up switching drinks because we liked each other's more than our own. For the second round, we ordered the brandy spritz and primrose martini. We weren't fans of the brandy spritz, although my friend grew into it. The primrose martini was quite good, I liked it better than the appletini. For snackies, we ordered the glizzy gaunlet, which was basically a tower of carbs. It came with 5 mini dogs with milk bread, and potato wedges. There were 3 sauces, my favorite in order were the: truffle dijonnaise, kosho aioli, and korean ketchup. We enjoyed this more than the food at Filthy Animal. Although it was pricey ($22) for just carbs and hardly any protein. The milk bread was delicious and the mini dogs were pretty good too. The potato wedges were cooked perfectly, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Would I return? Probably not. The food was better than the drinks but it wasn't outstanding.

The most recent was…read moreon a Thursday night around 10:30 p.m. This speakeasy is located on Mill Ave., the center of Tempe's party scene. Because of its location, parking isn't easy. If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.
