It's a bit of a college bar but we were here at 6p on a Wednesday and it was of a normal bar volume. Despite the very loud man that was just a loud talker, lol. Decor is divey graffiti walls beer box ceiling dark but clean, sitting at the bar I've seen a lot of fruit flies in bottles and I'm sure they aren't pouring Tito's out of that bottle so just a heads up. I enjoyed my time at a local bar perfect for those of age! I don't remember our servers name but service overall was nice! I enjoyed the nostalgic vibe of all of it! Tried the "baby dick" shot (I think that's the name) and it was so delicious! The pineapple cider also caught my attention and it was so good! Enjoyed my beaner weiner, the bread was soft, the weiner was cooked perfectly and I would've never guessed I enjoyed tomatoes on a hotdog but now I do! I came in at 1:45 with my wife to get a shot and a drink. We ordered, paid and tipped in cash, over 20%. The door man was VERY nice but as soon as he left, the young blonde bartender turned into a huge brat. Literally as SOON as the clock hit 2, the bartender and her coworkers told us to "get the f*** out". My wife quite literally only had a sip left and was clearly trying to finish before 2. Ive never left a review anywhere but this "bartender" was a serious c*** for no reason. I have listed this spot as one of my favorite bars since I turned 21 -- never again. I don't know the name of the bartender with the blue hair, but she must be a drug addict or something, I have no idea how else to explain what just happened to me. My friend and I met there to have a couple beers after he just finished serving in the army and got a couple Guinesses. Just being truthful, she didn't pour a good Guinness, I assume she has never been taught the right way. So, when my friend finished his Guinness and she asked if he wanted another, he said no. Her energy immediately changed and she started being rude to my friend and asking him aggressively why he didn't want another drink (which the real reason is we were just about to leave to go play trivia at another bar). He said it was because she didn't pour his Guinness right, not in a rude way, it sounded like a joke with a tad bit of truth behind it. She immediately blew up even harder and started telling us to go fuck ourselves, to never come back, sarcastically asking us what the right way is to pour it (which there is but that's besides the point), threw our cards at us, etc. just was screaming and yelling. The lack of professionalism is astounding to me, I could never have imagined being treated like that over the smallest thing WHICH SHE STARTED TO BEGIN WITH. Just insane. Again, one of my top 3 favorite bars since I turned 21, I will never be back, will never bring my friends there, will never recommend it again, and will actively caution people about going. The food was pretty good- ordered bottle caps (fried jalepenos) and the chips and dip. The bartender was incredibly slow, and the place was not even busy until very late. Single stall bathroom. The place is mostly college kids. Cheap food and drinks tho ! I recommend the lil devil with sprite instead of soda water, and the Baby Dick Shot was a popular buy (a shot made with coffee tequila and a cream liqueur) The service was just awfully slow for drinks and the security sucked (I was being bugged by a very very very drunk guy, who was likely over served) I think he left on his own volition and was not removed. read more

Found this little hidden gem completely by accident! Was walking to Mill Ave from my motel on Apache, and there it was shining like a beacon of Dive Bar Cheese! On two occasions parking lot nazis came outside and were very rude to me. I was waiting in my car for a friend, for no more than 5 min & someone came out and asked me to either drive away or to come inside. Tempe Tavern is definitely a dive bar, but it also serves way better food than you'd expect from a spot that also serves Mike's Hard Lemonade on tap and looks more like a rock club than a restaurant. My favorite thing to order there is the grilled cheese sandwich, a really simple sandwich (I get pepperjack cheese instead of American), with a side salad with ranch. The portion is large (the same is true for the fries if you order those), and the food is good - greasy, but good. I'm a fan of Mike's Hard Lemonade, so I'm thrilled it's on tap here. There are also TVs throughout the bar that make it a great place to watch a game, while live music fans can enjoy concerts every night of the week after 9 p.m. Tempe Tavern is located right across the street from a light rail stop (and next door to a sex shop.) The cheap prices and laid-back atmosphere make it a good spot for watching a game, or before heading to one on the light rail. read more

Decided to try this place and they have a great beer selection! They had multiple of my favorite beers!! Then buy one get one burger! Awesome atmosphere and even a stage! I'm excited to see what shows they have to offer!! Now one of my favorite new bars! Not to mention that my bartender was so fun and nice, Sherri was Awesome!!!! So they make everything fresh, dressings, beer battered onion rings!! No microwaves, no freezers!! This is my new go to spot!! I'm in love!!!!!
