We got takeout and it was still very delicious. I love a smash patty, and it comes with two. The fries are pretty big that we shared one order for 2 of us. The ambiance inside was super cool, definitely a vibe. Service wasn't necessarily bad but wasn't great. Waited a bit before anyone acknowledged us, didn't offer suggestions or was like how are you doing. He came to the counter after I was waiting and was like what can I get you. Wasn't rude but wasn't the most welcoming.

Wings, waffle fries, smash burger. Wings are smoked and incredible!

Loved everything about this place! It is a high class restaurant masquerading as a dive burger bar! Clean, fun and very interesting decor. The staff were great, had several good conversations. BUT the food!!! Its everything I want in a dive joint for burgers, fries and wings!

This place is cute! I stopped by around 2 on a weekday and it was pretty busy. It has a fun, modernized diner vibe. I don't go out for burgers much because I generally find them disappointing, but this one was great. I got the classic and it was like a perfected fast food burger. I like that they use quality meat. The waffle fries were tasty and the ranch is definitely made there. I'd have liked to try their vanilla with olive oil soft serve but I was too full. Another time! They also have a full bar but I didn't check out the drink menu. Its not cheap because what is these days and they use really high quality ingredients. The $12 burger I got here was 10× better than the $18 trendy restaurant burger I had earlier in the week.

The burgers here are bussin each and every time I've gotten them! I usually place a pickup order and when I get there it's always a vibe so I've been meaning to try dinning in soon, so ima add doing so to my list of things to do. But as I've sat to wait they've got something good playing on their big screens and great music. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Matter fact on my first try in they gave me a shake on the house because I had mentioned that I was considering trying it. What I like is that the fries are always hot and taste of nice clean grease and fresh ingredients; which I always have a hard time not eating them all on the drive homeThe price isn't bad at all for a juicy burger and crispy golden fried fries!! So if you're visiting or a local this place is definitely worth stopping in.

I prefer to go to the one in old town, this one is a little more like a diner with less approachable bar, but that is not why we are here. The DOUBLE BURGER is where it is at! I cannot stop eating here. Ill just say it again. - DOUBLE BURGER!!!!

I knew nothing about this place before going in, and my goodness does it live up to the hype. My burger was SO GOOD. we were in a hurry and the service and turnaround time was quick. We inhaled our burgers so I would love to rerun and really give it another go! The fries were so great too, I love whatever seasonings they use. Will be back!

This has been on my list to try for a while and my husband and I finally did! My husband got their double cheeseburger and was a fan. He said it tasted like if shake shack and in-n-out had a baby. The pickles were so fresh too. I got their veggie burger and it was a thick patty, but mushy. I wish they had some sort of "meat" patty instead to take it to the next level. Their fries were crunchy and delicious, but their soft serve was kind of bland in my opinion. Their service was nice and the area is electic. Cool little burger place to try if you want!

Finally stopped in to try the iconic Bad Jimmys! Was so excited when the Tempe location opened up. Love the dark / red retro interior. My husband ordered the Classic Double burger and I got the Green Chile Burger on special. I only like smash burger style Patties so these are the perfect burgers for me. There were green Chiles oozing out of my burger, sooo perfect if you're a green chile lover like me. The side of fries are a pretty large portion ($5), so we probably would have been fine sharing one. The staff were amazing, I appreciated that they checked in on us even after bringing out our food. Definitely will be back to try their soft serve ice cream.

Made a quick stop here after seeing great reviews. Was in a hurry but the food came out quick and was delicious! A nice change between the usual burger spots across the valley, the vibe inside was fun. Definitely want to go back and try again

I came here with some friends on a Saturday night and was so pleasantly impressed! The first thing that really stood out was the vibe and ambience Bad Jimmy's offers. The red lighting feels retro in the best way and pairs perfectly with the tile throughout the space. The menu is short and sweet, which makes everything feel easy and approachable to choose from. The bar itself has such fun decor and a great selection of cocktails. Aesthetically, I absolutely loved this place. The cocktails were priced around $14-$17 and were beautifully presented. I ordered the grilled cheese for $6, which was unfortunately the only part that fell a little short for me. It came out cold, which was disappointing because I was otherwise really loving the experience. That said, for a night out at a cute, cozy restaurant/bar, I would still highly recommend Bad Jimmy's. The bartender was incredibly kind and friendly as well! It was such a fun spot, and I'll definitely be returning to try their burgers!!

I had a pretty good experience at Bad Jimmy's. The ambiance was great, the place is a vibe. I ordered a burger, wings and fries. The wings and the fries were a little salty. The burger was definitely the star of the meal, it was amazing and the sole reason for the positive review. I'll definitely be back to try other burger combinations.

When you're craving a burger, fries and the best ranch you've ever had, you go to Bad Jimmy's. Paired with a little Dirty Shirley are we kidding? Topped off with a swirl soft serve?! Yeah, Bad Jimmy's 10/10 will always come back here for a burger fix.

This place was an absolute rockstar from the moment of walking in the red aesthetics are really cool and I really enjoyed the music background as it was alternative music metal rock not sure if they always play that but they did when I was there and it was a vibe. The food was really good. It was honestly one of the best smash burgers I've had. I got the double burger with bacon on it and it was honestly a 10/10 everybody was just insanely good. I also tried the fries. Honestly, the fries were really nice and crispy and they had a really good flavor. And it was a shareable portion 8.5/10 The smoked and fried buffalo style wings were also pretty good as it was not your regular fried wing flavor which to some that might be a dealbreaker, but if you're into smoky wings, then you will like these 7.5/10 The staffing here is really friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to come back here soon.

The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

We were setup in a separate dining area from the main dining room, which allowed for better conversation without added noise. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive the entire time we were there, which was a couple hours. The milk bread is an absolute must! It's so pillowy soft and the flaky sea salt perfectly compliments it. I ordered the Wise Decision cocktail, which was refreshing. For my entree, I had the shishito Caesar salad and was advised I could add a protein from their skewer selection of chicken, pork belly or oyster mushrooms. I asked the waitress about the chicken and she advised that they are smoked and will appear pink from that, so not to be alarmed, but are moist and really flavorful. While the filet was tempting (and what everyone else at my table ordered), I wanted something lighter. Thankfully I was not disappointed in my selection. The chicken was as delicious as described and could be cut with a fork. The Caesar salad was well dressed, but not soggy. Do I think it was worth the money to add the chicken? Not if I were paying, but since my company paid for it, I think it was worth it. This is a great spot for a date night or special occasion.

The most recent was…read moreon a Thursday night around 10:30 p.m. This speakeasy is located on Mill Ave., the center of Tempe's party scene. Because of its location, parking isn't easy. If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.

Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. Overall, this is a great spot for cocktails, ambiance, and photos, but the food is fairly mediocre compared to the setting.
