Heard about this place a few months ago and finally decided to try it. I must say, the LA Burg is the best burger I've had in Arizona since moving here. It's been two years and the only "better burger" would be In N Out. I'm from California and the LA burg is like "The Hat" and In N Out, and all that's missing is some Tommy's chili. But that was expected considering it's Tempe near ASU & parking anywhere near ASU w/o using a paid garage is always going to be iffy. **Warning** If you leave the lot on the west side onto University, be extremely careful. I was recommended this place, so we had to come check it out! Love the cute diner vibes. The service was friendly and quick. I liked how simple the menu is. We ordered the Double Burger, Tennessee dry rub wings, fries, and housemade ranch. An order of wings included about 6 wings; I thought the seasoning was too salty for my preference. This has been on my list to try for a while and my husband and I finally did! My husband got their double cheeseburger and was a fan. He said it tasted like if shake shack and in-n-out had a baby. The pickles were so fresh too. I got their veggie burger and it was a thick patty, but mushy. I wish they had some sort of "meat" patty instead to take it to the next level. This place is cute! I stopped by around 2 on a weekday and it was pretty busy. It has a fun, modernized diner vibe. I don't go out for burgers much because I generally find them disappointing, but this one was great. I got the classic and it was like a perfected fast food burger. I like that they use quality meat. The waffle fries were tasty and the ranch is definitely made there. I'd have liked to try their vanilla with olive oil soft serve but I was too full. Another time! Finally stopped in to try the iconic Bad Jimmys! Was so excited when the Tempe location opened up. Love the dark / red retro interior. My husband ordered the Classic Double burger and I got the Green Chile Burger on special. I only like smash burger style Patties so these are the perfect burgers for me. There were green Chiles oozing out of my burger, sooo perfect if you're a green chile lover like me. The side of fries are a pretty large portion ($5), so we probably would have been fine sharing one. The staff were amazing, I appreciated that they checked in on us even after bringing out our food. This place was an absolute rockstar from the moment of walking in the red aesthetics are really cool and I really enjoyed the music background as it was alternative music metal rock not sure if they always play that but they did when I was there and it was a vibe. The food was really good. It was honestly one of the best smash burgers I've had. I got the double burger with bacon on it and it was honestly a 10/10 everybody was just insanely good. I also tried the fries. Honestly, the fries were really nice and crispy and they had a really good flavor. And it was a shareable portion 8.5/10 The smoked and fried buffalo style wings were also pretty good as it was not your regular fried wing flavor which to some that might be a dealbreaker, but if you're into smoky wings, then you will like these 7.5/10 The staffing here is really friendly and very helpful. I kept getting videos about this place on TikTok so I had to come and try it out. We got 2 double burgers, they looked like simple burgers but the flavor of them was amazing. This was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Also I forgot to mention, it was my first time trying a smash burger. We also got some fries and the 6 piece of buffalo wings. The fries had so much flavor as well, it was insane. The wings had a smokey flavor and the buffalo sauce had a little spice to it, so it gave it a kick. Honestly, the flavor of the wings caught me off guard but in a good way. It was delicious. The wings came with ranch and let me just say that the ranch also had so much flavor, it had a little garlic taste to it. Honestly, everything tasted amazing, nothing lacked flavor. The place has a cool retro aesthetic, action figures and such, perfect for being close to the university. As with all other places in the area, parking is limited. Three point turn for a truck to get in and out. My friend and I each ordered a double burger and wings. I got the Tennessee dry rub and he got the classic wing sauce. Now, I love a good smash burger and these were tasty, but I can still get a, equally good smash burger with all the toppings (lettuce, tomato, onions, special sauce) from Freddy's steakburger with fries and a drink for the same price. The wings tho......fire. Classic wing flavor - okay. Tenessee dry rub...ooooh baby. Those were top tier flavor and I will be returning to have those again. The smoke really sets it off. A must try. I live in California and came to visit for a rave. My sister brought my girlfriend and I with some friends to try this smash burger place. I've tried plenty of smash burgers before but this one might be top 3. The burger was delicious and had really good flavor. Even their criss cut fries were pretty good, soft but crunchy at the same time. I would recommend their ranch as well, I think they make it themselves but I can be wrong. Location just opened today and usually I wait a few weeks before I go to a new place but did not look too crowded today and decided to check it out. Interior decor is much like a 1950's sort of burger joint, including red plastic backing for some booths and along the seating area (looked very cool). Ordered the regular double and order of fries and they give you a number card if you are eating in and they drop it off (which is great). Burger was great - classic smashburger and great potato bun, and fries are spiced waffle fries - ketchup is in little packets (Heinz) and they give you a handful when they bring your order of fries but a big bucket of them next to the order counter. I'm in my late 50s so don't eat too many burgers anymore, but when I do, I'll come here - classic double burger was $12, and the order of fries as $5, and soda cup is around $3 to $4 (I think), around $20 before tax, for the whole meal. Place also includes a full bar area with both draft beer and liquor - not much of a drinker anymore but if I was to have a beer, or a drink, this would be a good place to have one, while having a burger - they do have a bike rack, for up to four bicycles - so that is great, but also a fair amount of parking (but if you live in the area, easy to ride your bike over, like me). I also found the staff to be polite and efficient - just a great experience overall - also went and checked out the bathrooms - very clean and non-gender specific (no sign as to such but you get the idea) - bathrooms have a toilet and a full classic urinal and a full sink - no code needed but no good way to see if the door is locked or not (gently check the handle?) - suffice to say, I like the place and a great additional to the culinary makeup of the area - good food at a decent price! read more

The burger was meh. In 'N' Out is better for the price. I was told when I phoned in my order that there was no charge for extra onions. When I checked my receipt however, I was charged $1.00 for extra onions. A $12.00 burger and they charge $1.00 for a few pennies worth of onions?!?!?! The burger could have been assembled with more care also. Too bad, because they are very close to my house, but I won't be back. If there's one thing that I hate, it's being told there's no charge for something, and then getting charged for it. She even asked someone when I inquired about the charge and was told there wasn't one. A comparable burger at Freddy's is almost $3.00 less! This place won't last long. read more
