Went at sunset, the view was blocked by the fence to the pool and the other end was a private event. Other than that the view was pretty good. Wait time for drinks and food were very very long. Waited 20 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. We got the nachos, they were good but there were only 12 chips, for the price... not worth it.

Nice little rooftop bar in the middle of Tempe. Came here with a couple of my girl friends for a Friday evening. It was pretty mellow, with only a couple of other people there. The bartender took my drink order right away and the mule I ordered was good. Although we weren't staying at the hotel, it seems pretty nice and everything was clean and well kept. Didn't order food here this time but maybe next time!

Came here on a double date and we got 3 different drinks, all of which were not good. The margarita I had was very watered down and didn't taste good. I couldn't finish it. The wait was also very long for our food, like 45 minutes. The food overall was not bad, The flat bread I got was over priced ($18) but didn't taste too bad and portion size was good. The chicken sandwich was a little dry for $15. The fries were also not good. They very much needed salt and they were broken in small pieces. But the only reason why the food is not bad is because it's from the kitchen down at Alter Ego. Honestly I wouldn't really come back again.

Walking in, Alibi has a nice atmosphere. I love the roof top vibe. Came here for a work event and boy was it a mess. It seemed like they were not prepared to accommodate our group. The menu is very limited so it was concerning how long some items took to come out. We were in no means any rush but chips and a salsa should not take over an hour to get to the table. The food was a hit or miss. I really enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower. A fellow co-worker enjoyed the edamame but said they were messy and spicy. I personally had the seared ahi with some Asian noodles. I could not eat the pasta. It just didn't go well with the tuna for me. The noodles did not give Asian vibe. It was also cut on the thinner side. I really wish the sesame seeds I saw on the edamame was encrusted on the tuna.

What a great hidden secret!! My family and friend came here for my birthday celebration! Both bartenders prepared excellent cocktails, the food was amazing, and the views of the city and sunset were awesome! To top it off, the bartenders made me a special birthday shot! Must do!

Funny story about how we ended up here. Met a pal for dinner and couldn't find it at first but then someone from the pool threw a rubber swan down from the roof top which fell into the vehicle. Looking up thru the panoramic roof we could see people staring down after tossing the rubber swan. It was then that we knew it had to be the spot we were searching for. Thank God it wasn't something heavy coming down instead of a swan. Adealina (sorry if I spell your name incorrectly) bartender Is AMAZING!!! Joe the DJ IS awesome but tonight was not the night to be there.... Country music is not my thing but up until Joe was forced to play it, it was a nice vibe! The company of Adelina and Joe made my visit here nice. Welcome Aboard Adealina from a Vegas. I love the view and the welcoming breeze from up here on the OPEN 14th floor. I didn't know that this was a hotel and assumed that it was apartments for some reason. I met some cool humans. I had the burger and fries which were spendy but expected these days but we were a little surprised that my burger had to no lettuce nor tomato on it and my friend couldn't get a salad because they were out of ingredients. That was horrible as we came to eat and to catchup. My friend ended up with just fries since she can only have gluten free products. Valet parking is available on site which I found out that the restaurant will validate for you... otherwise, $12.00 to park however, meter parking is only$1.50 per hour which was worth it if you're not into a Stanger driving your vehicle and waiting for it when you're ready to go. On the way in (or out) there's another restaurant downstairs which, has great customer service and the bartender Morgan was AMAZING, as well as, the Manager of the entire establishment, Dee Jay, who welcomed me with open arms! Anyway, go check it out for yourself. There's all age groups here since it's a hotel and not a college kids hang out. Respectfully! I'd return to sit and chat with Dee Jay, Adealina, DJ and Joe as they all gave it a memorable experience! Thanks guys

Alibi Rooftop Lounge is downtown Tempe's ultimate elevated hideaway! Perched atop the Canopy by Hilton, the rooftop oasis blends a vibrant yet relaxed vibe with exceptional city views. The space features chic cabanas, a pool, fire pits, and retractable glass walls that keep things comfortable year-round. Their craft cocktails and shareable bites pair perfectly with the view, whether you're catching a sunset, hanging with friends, or dancing to the DJ on Friday nights. Attentive staff, good energy, and thoughtful touches like heated outdoor areas make this place a standout scene that feels both lively and welcoming.

Pretty good food for a hotel bar!! My boyfriend and I stayed at the Canopy, so we were excited to hear that they had rooftop dining. You get a nice view of ASU, the pool, and AZ sunsets. We came for dinner and they were able to directly charge my room. Super convenient. What we ordered: + Fries: So good! Great quality potato, selicious aioli dip, and the portion was good enough for two of us to share. + Short Rib Sliders: Surprisingly really tender! Marinated well and the bread was soft & sweet. Pretty tasty. + Poke Bowl: Comes with salmon and tuna sashimi. The marinade is very subtle, and the fish quality is pretty good. Lots of veggies! The only downside is the rice was hard and undercooked.

Such a cute rooftop bar! I loved that it was decorated festively for the holiday season. Did not try and food but their seasonal drink menu was good. A great spot for a quick drink for date night or with a friend.

Love!!!! This is a great hang for drinks, ambiance, and food. The views are lovely day or night. You can't beat a mountain vista. Decor is modern and trendy. Pumping great tunes. I had a La Lascivia to warm up, and some street tacos. Tasty! And didn't leave me feeling so full- great portion sizes. Love the roasted pepitas. Kind attentive service. Whether you stay at the hotel or come for after work relaxation A this is a must do!

Met up with a friend here on a Saturday evening. It wasn't as busy as I expected but I have a feeling this place draws a later crowd as it's more of a bar rather than restaurant. We came for dinner at sunset. The views are gorgeous. Definitely a great spot for a drink at sunset. The food menu is quite limited and I was disappointed because I have dietary restrictions and could only eat the salad from the menu which they were out of. I still enjoyed being outdoors and the ambiance (as well as my company of course). Our bartender Andranique was new but she is amazing! Great personality and super attentive and helpful! There's also a pool and dance floor up here with a live DJ so I can imagine it gets a little wild. We didn't stay much past 7:30 so it was still a calm and chill vibe.

Came downtown for dinner but decided to check out the roof top bar. Came during happy hour and tried the fish ceviche with chips-7/10. Plenty of fish however felt like it was missing something else. Couldn't figure it out but they were very generous with the fish. I forgot the name of our drink but it was a pretty strong one. Staff was great. Tables were clean. There is a swimming pool near the bar and people were leaving their orders. Nice view of downtown.

Cool vibe. Pretty empty for a Friday night but the view was a vibe. Pit stop for a drink before going out and the drink definitely did what it should have.

Great views of Tempe and a nice place to hang out for the sunset. Only drawback is that the beverages are overpriced. Worth a visit.

I love the giant disco balls and the aesthetic of this place. We started with the appletini and lemongrass highball (non-alcoholic). My friend and I ended up switching drinks because we liked each other's more than our own. For the second round, we ordered the brandy spritz and primrose martini. We weren't fans of the brandy spritz, although my friend grew into it. The primrose martini was quite good, I liked it better than the appletini. For snackies, we ordered the glizzy gaunlet, which was basically a tower of carbs. It came with 5 mini dogs with milk bread, and potato wedges. There were 3 sauces, my favorite in order were the: truffle dijonnaise, kosho aioli, and korean ketchup. We enjoyed this more than the food at Filthy Animal. Although it was pricey ($22) for just carbs and hardly any protein. The milk bread was delicious and the mini dogs were pretty good too. The potato wedges were cooked perfectly, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Would I return? Probably not. The food was better than the drinks but it wasn't outstanding.

The most recent was…read moreon a Thursday night around 10:30 p.m. This speakeasy is located on Mill Ave., the center of Tempe's party scene. Because of its location, parking isn't easy. If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.
