Came here to celebrate my 22nd birthday with a group of friends and had a great experience overall. We were able to make a reservation easily, and the space itself was beautiful--clean, well-designed, and had a great music vibe. The service really stood out. While the gluten-free options were a bit limited for one of my friends, the staff went above and beyond by offering an extra glass of wine when they ran out of the orzo she planned to order. They also surprised our table with champagne and gave me a personalized birthday card, which made the night feel extra special. The food was excellent with generous portions. Definitely a spot I'd recommend for celebrations.

Went here for lunch for the first time. The mango lemonade was delicious and the sandwiches were large! We enjoyed the little Jerry a lot. My partner didn't love the maestro - he didn't realize it was a cold sandwich and thought it'd be hot. I enjoyed it but I didn't think it was the best sandwich I've ever had. We also tried to pizza slice of the day which was a unique one - we liked that too. We got there at 11 when they opened and there was already a line! But it moved quickly. Overall definitely worth trying out

I came on a Sunday morning and waited about 15 minutes. There was a constant line, which made me excited to try it as I was visiting from out of town. I ordered the Little Jerry, and I can see why it's so popular on social media. As a Parmesan lover, it was perfect. The sandwich was packed with sauce and flavor. It's basically a pizza in sandwich form, with a pesto like green sauce and a delicious chicken cutlet. My boyfriend ordered the Jack Klompus, but compared to the Little Jerry, it lacked flavor. Overall, I'd still recommend it! The setup is mostly self serve, with food brought out to your table. Also, music was great!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon shortly after opening, the decor and open layout was relaxing plus they have a quaint upstairs eating area too. All the staff were friendly and helpful, will be returning for dinner as the sandwiches were so delicious.

My friend and I loveeee First & Last! It is our go to spot when we are downtown and it never disappoints. The vibe inside is always amazing and they play the best music. Our server was great - she kept my diet cokes full and was very kind! To eat we started with the oysters which came with a little hot sauce dropper (amazing). I ordered the cast iron baked focaccia which was to die for!! I also got the seasonal burrata which was delicious. My friend ordered the pork loin which was soooo tasty as well. Perfectly cooked! This place never lets us down and I can't recommend it enough!

Walked in from the back of the restaurant and saw the restroom first. The communal sink area at least got me thinking wow this is different. It's a cool ambiance with a boho style interior with seating areas downstairs and a small upstairs area. The Little Jerry is as good as it looks if you love cheese. There are quite a few interesting cocktails here as well if I recall, but it was too early for that when I went.

Easiest 5 star meal, service, atmosphere, everything ! This place is clean and small but plenty of room to sit and enjoy yourself. I was welcomed in by a lovely manager I assume I believe her name was Delana I can't remember she was covered in tattoos and super friendly. I ordered the "Little Jerry" and when I tell you I was having a full experience eating this sandwich. The zesty fresh tangy pesto with the spicy vodka sauce and juicy chicken cutlet with creamy cheese inside and outside. Keep doing the damn thing ! I will be back THIS WEEK to try something else. Service and food 10-10 no notes.

Cute place. Nice ambiance. Friendly staff........but I was NOT impressed at all with the food. The famous sandwich that's been getting all the hype was not good. Maybe I came on the wrong day but I was truly disappointed.

We were a group of 4 that came in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly busy. Three of us ordered sandwiches and one friend ordered a chicken Caesar salad. I ordered the the following sandwich: ROCHELLE, ROCHELLE / $21 copper ranch grilled steak, crispy onions, caramelized onions, smoked gouda cheese wiz + soda The sandwich was really good and one of a kind. It was flavorful, full of meat, and the bread was fresh. The sandwich was very juicy, therefore it got to be a little messy after a few bites so be preparedddd. Service was good as the interaction with the employees was small. Our table was dirty when we sat down. The inside is welcoming!

We went here for lunch on Saturday and per usual, were thrilled with our sandwiches. The little Jerry sandwich was super cheesy and delicious, I loved it. The Rochelle Rochelle was so filling, I had to take half home! I love the bread that first & last serves their sandwiches on. The focaccia is always so amazing. Our service was speedy. We sat inside and took in the pretty views but it was nice outside and they have table top fans in case you want to sit outside. I always love sitting upstairs but we sat downstairs this time so switch it up and still had plenty of room. It's never too loud here that you can't catch up with whoever you go with.

Food was ok and the cashier was friendly. It was Sunday around lunch time and it was busy. At one point the line was out the door. I ordered the Bosco Sandwich and it was not really my favorite. It lacked flavor as the inside did not taste like anything. It needed some pepper or salt tbh... the fresh made bread was my favorite though, delicious.. I tried my friends jerry sandwich and omg it was really good. The Rochelle Rochelle is also another good one.

SOOOO BUSSSS. we went here for lunch on a sunday and there was plenty of seating and the vibes were so good bc it was so sunny and they were playing sunny summer music and i genuinely peaked. for drinks, the apple cider seasonal lemonade was so good and spiced, just sweet and sour enough. the sandwiches are phenomenal! top of the list is the little jerry, which had a lovely mix of textures with the fried chicken with a great acidity from the vodka sauce. the apple sandwich, art vandalay was also good, very fresh and classic. the bosco was a bit disappointing though - the mortadella wasn't very flavorful and we didnt get much output from the pistachio very much. additionally the antipasto salad was pretty mid bc it didnt seem very fresh but not much to expect from antipasto salad anyways. service was great and fast, and the checkout first is always an efficient process that i enjoy.

The NIMAN Ranch Iberian Pork Loin at First & Last was absolutely unforgettable. Every bite was incredibly savory, tender, and packed with rich flavor that made the entire dining experience feel elevated from start to finish. The preparation was flawless, allowing the quality of the pork to truly shine while pairing beautifully with the restaurant's elegant atmosphere and thoughtful presentation. This dish easily became one of the most memorable meals I've had in Downtown Phoenix. I will absolutely be returning for another incredible evening and another taste of this masterpiece.

Little Jerry sandwich and Maiden Voyage (mezcal based) drink - both are excellent!

It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

My party and I had a reservation on a Saturday night at 9pm (when it's 13 people, what can you do). What kind of sucked though (and mainly why I'm deducting a star) is that we did wait an additional half hour to be seated after our reservation time. Our theory is that they didn't think the entire party would actually arrive, and they were not ready to accommodate us. To be fair, the restaurant IS on the smaller side, but there was 0 communication during that half hour on what was going on... which isn't really good for us either. We got the original set, and this somewhat confused me as well. The food was really good, and was definitely a restaurant that I'd go to for the experience, but for some reason some of the meats were doubled while others weren't. The double portions were really nice since our party was so large, we needed to split the food between 4 different grills (so each table got 2 grills each, feeding 6-7 people in total or 3-4 people per grill), but then we had to share the portions where we only got one serving. It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.
