I miss the Chandler and Tempe locations that closed, so I jumped at a chance to drive to downtown Phoenix. We had a large group and were seated in a semi-private room. The service was great and fast. The only thing that didn't warrant a high rating was the food. Pasta is basic. But the salad and spumoni were good. After 40 years, I'll have to say goodbye to this chain. Thanks for the past good memories.

AN ESTABLISHED CLASSIC! Founded in 1969 by Guss and Sally Dussin, The Old Spaghetti Factory is still family owned and operated, serving homemade meals and creating a memorable dining experience. I ordered the SPINACH & MEAT TORTELLINI! This dish gets massive recognition from me. The meal is essentially hat shaped pasta stuffed with roasted chicken and Mortadella, topped with Alfredo sauce and shredded Romano Cheese. It was the best 940 calorie meal for $19.99 I've had in a while! I topped my lunch off with dessert, spumoni was on the menu so I had to try it! I was very pleased. Our server Lisa was super personable and welcoming! She had a friendly demeanor and was super familiar with the menu. I appreciate a dedicated professional in the food industry. DT Phoenix's Old Spaghetti Factory is super cool, I got classic western vibes mixed with Italian flair. I loved the massive seating space and elegant old timey aesthetic.

I love Old Spaghetti Factory. I went to the Phoenix location this past week and had a great experience! Service was top notch, food was delicious and the decor is EVERYTHING. Had such a good time, I'm coming back tonight

We absolutely love this restaurant. It was our first time at this location.. we were celebrating a birthday. They sang happy birthday and made the occasion extra special! We had the GF pasta, lasagna, mushroom ravioli and the brown butter mizethra with Caesar and house salads. Everything was hot and delicious. Our server was sweet and efficient, and the atmosphere is top notch . Highly recommend coming here!

This place carries a bit of nostalgia for me as my family used to come here often when I was a kid. All the decor, from the fun train car seating to the stained glass windows, has stood the test of time. The servers are always so friendly and come back to check on you often. Today, we had Marcus who was an absolute joy. The food is classic, consistent, and fresh. The complimentary bread before the meal comes out piping hot every time. The salad does come heavily dressed so if you prefer lighter dressing, ask for the dressing on the side. The mushroom sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and savory with a consistency that's not too thick and not too runny. The spumoni and vanilla ice cream were served firm today, which is the absolute best! (Sometimes, they're served a bit more melted when they're busy.) And it's suuuuuper creamy! The texture is elite. The restaurant has lots of semi-private rooms for small and large parties that prefer to be in quieter areas. They also have an amazing deal called Meatball Mondays during which you can get a platter of spaghetti with marinara sauce and four meatballs, bread and butter, two soups or salads, half a decanter of house wine or two drinks like soda or coffee, and two servings of spumoni ice cream for just $25! Parking can be tight during peak dining hours.

Another oldie but an absolute favorite! @oldspaghettifactory in AZ. Dad and I finished up at the Home and Garden show, where dad got a notification that they were doing a special where the pricing was back to the Old Prices. We got our usual but our all time favorites. The green salad with the pesto ranch, two manager's favorites, mine being Mushroom and Mizithra, and Dad's being White Clam Sauce with Mizithra. The. Of course spumoni, our beloved. If you know us, we go crazy for the stuff. We had 3 gallons of it in the freezer because we'd go through it so fast. But as always loved the food, the tram, the service, the food!

Coming here for a bday dinner was a nice little throwback for me. The Old Spaghetti Factory has a long history here in Arizona. I grew up eating at the former location on Mill Ave in Tempe. We used to cruise Mill and then grab a bite to eat there afterwards. I still have my Italian soda glassware somewhere in my house. This iconic spaghetti spot on Central has been open since the 1970s. Unfortunately with so many new Italian restaurants opening up that take a more modern take on pasta, the food here has become average. But I still enjoy coming to the Old Spaghetti Factory because it brings back so many memories from my childhood. Eating at Old Spaghetti Factory is still a unique experience after all these years. The floor creaks as you walk across it. The décor is unique with its antique lighting and stained-glass displays. There are multiple dining rooms and private booths. But the center of attention at every Spaghetti Factory is the old-fashioned trolley car that guests can dine in. I have had the experience of dining in the car many times in the past. It is especially fun for families that have kids. The first Old Spaghetti Factory opened in 1969 in Portland by the Dussin family. Their most popular dish is the Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter. It is an old Dussin family recipe. My personal favorites over the years have been the Lasagna, Spicy Spaghetti Vesuvius and the Spaghetti with Meatballs. I recently tried the Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter for the first time with a cup of Minestrone Soup. All their entrées are three-course meals and come with fresh bread and a small cup of ice cream. You cannot go wrong with their Spumoni Ice Cream. Overall my experience at this Old Spaghetti Factory was decent. Service was a little slow the night that I came here. The food was good, but not great. But my long-time history of dining here and the throwback memories will always keep me coming back.

My family along with my brother's girlfriend (a party of five in total) had a reservation at 6:30 on a Saturday night a couple days before Christmas. The restaurant itself is super unique in its layout, vibes, and holiday decor. So many twists and turns and you really don't know what you're going to find in the next room lol. With all the woody and rickety vibes, it made you feel like you were in an old-fashioned train station. Upon walking up to the host stand, there were several people standing around waiting, yet when we were taken back to our seats, I noticed a decent amount of empty tables. We were taken into one of the further back sections and we had a great view of a light-up snowman on a sleigh. Very quaint. Our server was super friendly. She was attentive and was always coming around and asking us if everything was to our liking, as well as refilling waters. Almost everyone in my family ordered the chicken fettuccine while my dad ordered the baked lasagna. The food had its highs and lows. The lasagna was a highlight for my dad, who gave it 4.5/5 stars. He enjoyed the flavor but felt the portion was too small for the plate and could have been more generous. On the other hand, the chicken entrée was disappointing. My brother said it tasted like a frozen meal, and I agree--the sauce lacked flavor, the broccoli was served cold, and the chicken was underseasoned, tasting mostly of salt. The dish also could have used more chicken to balance it out. To me, it basically felt like I was eating wet butter noodles. Not worth a whopping $22. The service, while better than what some other reviews suggested, was inconsistent. Our server was attentive at the start, but toward the end of our meal, drink refills became less frequent, which was a letdown. Overall, this was similar to other times I've been to other locations. You don't get what you pay for in terms in food and flavor, but I guess people keep coming back for the ambiance/theme of the restaurant? Beats me.

Had another great dinner here. Anytime we are in the area, we have to eat at The Old Spagetti Factory (surprisingly we don't have one in Las Vegas). We had reservations at 7pm but arrived about 30 minutes early and got seated within 5 minutes. Service was good, food great and of course price is reasonable. Overall, we had another great experience.

The first thing that stands out is the massive, beautifully maintained outdoor seating area. It's covered, pet-friendly, and thoughtfully designed with fireplaces and privacy walls that give each table a more intimate feel. There's even an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink while you wait or just enjoy the atmosphere. Inside, the décor is incredibly creative. Butcher knives and custom cutting boards line the walls, and the open kitchen showcases hanging meats so you can see everything in action. The bakery area adds another layer of charm, with rolling pins and whisks hanging from the ceiling, it all feels intentional and immersive without being over the top. The menu is just as fun and different as the space itself. I started with the Sicilian wedge and then had to go for what they're known for, the handcrafted meatballs. You can mix and match meatballs with different pastas, but the real showstopper is the "meatball carousel." It lets you sample multiple meatballs with their recommended sauces, all presented on an elaborate Ferris wheel-style display that turns heads across the restaurant. It's a full experience, not just a meal. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. What truly made the night, though, was our server, Mia. She struck that perfect balance of fun and professional, engaging, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. She guided us through the menu, made great recommendations, and brought a level of energy that elevated the entire experience. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. For dessert, we went with the traditional Sicilian cannoli stuffed with Nutella and a lemon tart that was so good I'd honestly consider flying back just to have it again. The only thing I was bummed about is that I love their marinara so much that I wanted to get the rigatoni with marinara as my side. However, they don't allow you to sub the sauce. It came with vodka sauce and I'm not a fan of that, so I opted for the side salad. Wish they'd allow you to sub the sauce. After dinner, we went next door to the Sicilian Baker and ordered an array of treats. Their tiramisu is a must! I've had it twice now and it's some of the best tiramisu I've had (topping even slices I've had in Rome!). The girls helping us were Riley and Tatum and they were very helpful. Even gave us some free mini cannolis. Yum!

Next, I had the brick chicken Marsala, which comes with a breast and thigh on a bed of mash potatoes and Marsala mushroom sauce. Dish was divine, the thigh was a little under, but service was top notch and replaced the dish entirely with a brand new one cooked to perfection. The kitchen is usually the highlight. With an Italian chef behind it, everything leans fresh and well executed--pizzas consistently shine, and the salads are just as strong. This time, though, the bolognese was a miss. The pasta was clearly overcooked, which stood out given how reliable the food typically is--felt more like an off night than the norm. The wine-by-the-glass list is solid and approachable, and the many awards feel well deserved overall. A diverse staff adds to the cosmopolitan yet relaxed atmosphere. The outside tables were relatively comfortable when we ate here. They moved an umbrella over to block the setting sun for about 20 minutes, which was great. It looked like they had a musician tuning up her guitar but she had not started before we left. The menu featured selections of pastas, pizzas, and salads. We sampled 3 pizzas, all of which were good. As we were travelling and flying out the next morning, 2 of us split one, which was perfect for not having leftovers. The 4 in our group also sampled an appetizer composed of a fried rice ball with cheese. I was skeptical, but it was actually good. Parking is on-street, as there did not appear to be a dedicated lot for the restaurant itself. It was a busy area, but we did end up finding some spaces about a block and a half away in a residential area. I would definitely be up for another meal here.

The food here is always so amazing especially if you're a gluten-free girl the gluten-free noodles pair very well with the pastas in my opinion. Lastly, right now they have a banana butter cake and that is probably the best thing on their dessert menu! So tasty, just the right amount of banana and crispy on the outside!

Very convenient and the valet gentleman was so nice. Service: prompt and helpful service. Good recommendations from the waitress Food: excellent. Rarely do I eat food so good that I'll think about the meal in the future but I'm going to be thinking about this tiramisu and the little crunchy chocolates on top. I also had the strozzapreti on the waitress's suggestion with a reisling and I was very happy with the pasta. I'll be honest that I missed lunch today so I came to EAT and the strozzapreti was the perfect size for my big appetite. The only con I found was that my wine glass was actually a little dirty, and I am notoriously bad at telling wait staff about stuff like that because if it's not egregious then I prefer to just deal with it, but I'm sure they would have been happy to get me another glass.

This was our first time checking out this location after being regulars at the Old Town spot (so…read moresad it closed!). Happy to say this one totally lives up to it. The service was just as amazing, friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the food was just as fresh and delicious. Prices are still super reasonable, which makes it an even better go-to. Our favorite is the Forno 301 pizza, always a must-order. We also loved the wine selection, and of course, you can't skip the limoncello to finish. Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious, affordable meal with great service!

An extra treat was that they have bottles of spicy oil on the tables, so I was able to enjoy the crusts by slathering them with the tasty oil as though they were breadsticks. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....
