Franchise type chicken joint. Sandwiches, tenders, fries, cole slaw, and plenty of sauces from which to pick. I went triple tenders (Buffalo sauce) and fries. Fries are really good - crisp and slightly salty. Tenders were good as well. Plenty of chicken, slightly crisp, and plenty of sauce. Service was super friendly and fast. Ambiance is standard fare. N*joy!

First time trying this place that just opened last month. The concept is very cool. Inside is decorated in a rustic type setting with cool art. It's one of the very first fast food restaurants where you order at the counter and the food is brought to you. The staff was amazing and very helpful and friendly. The manager was extremely nice. I went with their mild original chicken sandwich as the other choices scared the daylights out of me haha. It was very flavorful and the coleslaw goes great with the chicken. The fries were amazing! I loved the lightly coated fries. I would highly recommend this place if you love chicken!

It was all so easy and yummy! My sister and I drove here and you really can't miss it with the huge red chicken statue out at the front. Parking was easy (we were here around dinner time on a Sunday, @ 6:30pm), the inside was nice n clean, and there was no line. The bathrooms seemed nice, and it's convenient that the sinks are outside of the toilets so you can just wash your hands. When we ordered, I was a bit confused with the menu since I'd never been here before. It didn't really help that the lady at the register was a bit blunt and not too welcoming, but it didn't really hinder my experience there, just a lil blip. But that aside, I got my order to-go and it was ready in maximum 5 minutes!! I had a fry in the car and it was crispy and warm -- I do recommend eating right away though, I think the fries softened a bit by the time I got home 10 mins later. I love the scale of spiciness too. The spiciest level I tried was the medium for my original sandwich (so juicy btw), and it was a true medium, aka not at all that spicy. One thing I personally wasn't a big fan of was the consistency of the mac and cheese (it was SUPER cheesy and thick with more cheese than macaroni, but that's my personal taste). Overall I was pretty full from the meal, the menu was affordable for the amount + quality I got, and would be interested in coming back to try another dish / another spice level! This would be more of a 4.5 stars for me :)

This place is solid for chain food. I will say the serving sizes are a little modest for the price but the food is quite good quality. If you're not a got chicken lover this place is not for you. But if you like it hot this place is awesome. I personally love it hot and I ordered the "spicy" heat. It was actually a little too hot for me - and to think there are 2 levels hotter leaves me wondering who orders the hottest. Overall a good lunch spot - I recommend.

    They are open LATE!!!

Hot, hot, hot off the presses! HHC just opened, and I'm giving you the quick rundown. The Late-Night Hero First things first: they are open late on weekend nights. If you find yourself out past the usual dinner rush and need a solid meal, this is a fantastic local option. The Food Breakdown I ordered the 10-piece nugget meal (Mild Dry-Rub) with fries for about $15. The Chicken: The nuggets were cooked to perfection--super crispy and juicy. To be honest, the mild dry-rub lacked the flavor punch I was looking for, so, like Cane's, you must use a sauce to really bring it to life. The Fries: How did they earn four stars if the chicken was just "okay"? Simple: if you know me, you know I am a complete sucker for a good French fry. Their fries are A-1! Seriously, they earned a few return trips off the fries alone. I'll just have to dial in the right spice-level and sauce for the chicken next time. Pro-Tip for the Kiosk If you order at the kiosk, grab a number card and add the number to your digital order. They will actually walk your carry-out order right to you! I wasn't a huge fan of the process since there aren't many instructions posted, but it's a nice service touch once you know the drill. I'll definitely be back for those fries. Return Factor: 60%

Absolutely delicious! The restaurant is super cute and the chairs are super comfortable. Everyone working was so kind/attentive. Arguably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had and I love all the sauces they offer. Can't wait to come back and try different options!

We came around 1:30 on a Saturday and the restaurant was fairly busy! Jaiden was so helpful explaining the menu to me and giving me recommendations so I went with the (medium) sandwich and tender with fries and added a side of Mac and cheese thanks to Jaiden's recommendations! Everything was delicious! Chicken fresh and juicy, dining area tidy and clean, and the staff were all knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable

Great atmosphere! Staff were extremely friendly. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. The house sauce was sweet with a little heat. The mild chicken sandwich was truly mild, with a touch of heat, but with this touch of sweetness too. The single tender(no spice) was a little disappointing as it was kind of soggy, not crispy. The flavor was really good though. The chocolate shake was surprisingly delicious. It felt like it doubled as a sundae and a shake afterwards! So good!

The location is nice and new with plenty of comfortable seating. The is parking in the back of the restaurant for visitors. The restaurant also offers a drive thru window. I tried the classic chicken sandwich with fries with medium spice. Next time I may do the higher spice level and the medium felt more mild than I thought it would. The fries were okay, but could have used more seasoning. The employee at the counter was a bit serious so it felt like we should hurry and couldn't ask questions. Over quick service just not overly friendly. I also tried the Mac n cheese and while it was okay overall, it could use more seasoning. Overall not a bad experience, just not blown away.

I love fried chicken, so I was excited to try Houston Hot Chicken when it opened up near Biltmore. Walking in, the small space feels bright and welcoming, with red neon signs, modern decor, and comfortable chairs that I did not expect to see in a fast food restaurant. I took the recommendations of the server at the counter and got the chicken tortilla soup. The initial bite was excellent, with crunchy and not overly processed tasting tortilla and cheese. Although soup is not something I would order normally at a fast casual or fast food restaurant, this was worth trying. There were healthy chunks of chicken, and I couldn't see this being a good option for someone looking for a less bready option. Next, I had the chicken sandwich with honey butter. It had a tinge of the lightest amount of spice, but was not what I would call spicy. The sandwich was slightly more drenched than I would like and the slaw felt like overkill, however, the breading itself was light and crispy and the chicken inside was juicy but looked fully cooked. I wouldn't say this was a highlight in any way, but I would eat it again, probably at the medium spice level to get a better idea of the heat index. I did overhear a staff member saying there used to be a competition to eat the hottest level and last 3 minutes without anything to drink! Last, I had the tender and fries. The tenders are definitely the highlight! I could not believe how juicy and perfect it was. the skin was so thin it was coming off, but perfectly seasoned to compliment the chicken underneath. The proportion of tender to breading was a 10 out of 10. The crinkle cut fries were a bonus as the staff member said she knew I didn't order them, but wanted me to have them. Crispy and not overrated, I could see these being dangerous late at night. The only two knocks are that the parking lot is confusing and there is no drive thru. Not being able to pick this up in a pinch makes it a concerted effort to go, and the turn in is not as easy from the south side of Camelback. Overall, I would recommend and go back for the tenders and the soup (still shocked as I write "soup"!)

The Good: Flavor is on Point The food itself is undeniably great. The chicken is consistently tender and the spice levels are exactly what you'd hope for. A standout for me was the Mac and Cheese, perfectly cheesy and the ideal side for the heat. If you are coming purely for the taste, you won't be disappointed. The Service: Growing Pains The Front of House staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, but it's clear they are still finding their footing. There is a noticeable need for more structured training and a strong leader on the floor to help guide the flow. The Logistics: A Balancing Act The Back of House seems to be struggling with the dual demand of in-store diners and the heavy volume of DoorDash and Uber Eats orders. On my recent visit, the kitchen felt unorganized, leading to long waits and a sense of chaos behind the counter. The Consistency Issue The most frustrating part of my experience was the inconsistency in portions. Between my first and second visits, the amount of food served shifted drastically. For the price point, you expect a certain level of value, and right now, that consistency just isn't there. Final Verdict Houston's has the hardest part down: the recipes. However, the overall experience will decline quickly if they don't address the operational issues. I'm rooting for them

The new Houston Hot Chicken is a mixed bag. We stopped in to check out the new place and were greeted by the most confusing self-order kiosk I've ever used. I thought it was maybe me just being dense but the couple behind us also got stuck and the manager had to come out to help them out. The place itself is shiny and new and glitzy. Staff was friendly and helpful and there for anything we needed. The food is where things fell apart. The chicken itself was moist and well made, but it was caked in so much seasoning you couldn't taste it. I like hot chicken, but it has to be both hot... and chicken. The fries were the same way, so heavily seasoned we ended up shaking some of the seasoning off just to taste the fries. Maybe they're still dialing in the food as the place is pretty new, but right now it seemed more about the Experience than the Food.

There were six of us, and we were quoted a 45-minute wait, which seemed reasonable at first. However, their system for managing waits is honestly pretty frustrating. There are no reservations, no text notifications, and no call when your table is ready. You're basically left hovering and guessing. We did make it back in time for our table, but a simple "hey, your table's ready" system would go a long way in making guests feel valued. We were seated around 8 PM after waiting and taken to a large corner booth in the back. Unfortunately, there were still two people from the previous party lingering at the table even after they had paid and the rest of their group had already left. I understand finishing drinks, but it felt inconsiderate given how busy the restaurant was and how long people were waiting. After being seated, it took about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table, and even then, not everyone in our group was acknowledged right away. Things didn't improve much from there. It took over 30 minutes just to place our food order. From what we could tell, there was only one server handling the entire restaurant. I can definitely empathize with how difficult that must be, but at the same time, when we first arrived, she appeared to be standing near the entrance rather than actively managing tables, which added to the confusion. When the food finally came out, it was very staggered instead of arriving together. I ordered the Taos tenderloin with green beans and fries. The sides were actually great--probably the highlight of the meal--but the steak itself was disappointing. I ordered it medium, but it came out with an overly charred, almost burnt crust that completely overpowered the flavor. The whole dish really needed basic seasoning like salt and pepper to bring it together. The atmosphere also didn't do much to help the experience. It's extremely dark inside--so much so that it's hard to see your food--and the space feels cramped. The layout is also pretty strange and honestly a bit off-putting. There's what appears to be a kitchen area right behind the bar, and then a full kitchen in the back--but what really stood out was the lack of separation near the restroom area. There's no proper door between the kitchen and the bathroom space, and from a small step down off the dining area, you can basically see straight into the kitchen if you wanted to. It just didn't feel very private or well thought out. Another thing that stood out was the portion sizes. While some people might see that as a positive, they were honestly too large--especially for those of us traveling who couldn't take leftovers with us. Slightly smaller portions might not only reduce waste but also help the kitchen keep up with demand and improve overall service speed. Overall, this ended up being more of a one-time experience than a place we'd return to. Between the disorganized wait system, slow and inconsistent service, and underwhelming food, it just didn't live up to the expectations we had going in.
