First time customer. Pulled up to the drive-through. I asked the girl to give me a minute because it was my first time. I asked for the sliders without the slaw or pickles . I was told , sorry we can't do that . I asked to chat with a manager . I was clear that I was not looking to change the price of the sandwich, only that my husband will not eat it if it has coleslaw and pickles on it. I was told company policy can't change the sandwich... I ordered a chopped salad. The cucumbers are clear in appearance and look bad. 10 chicken nuggets, most of which were dried out and rubbery. The ranch sauce had this thick film on top and water at the bottom .. YUk ! Tater tots, completely dried out, and when pressed on broke into Pieces!!! I also ordered two chicken sandwiches, one was fine however the second one was dehydrated and rubbery! This place was completely dead. I was the only car in line and no one was in the restaurant. You can see the dirty water marks from the last mopping on the floors. Food debris on the table bases. The foot rail by the stools looks like it's never been cleaned. Mid day Saturday, so I don't think they were just recovering from a lunch rush. You could see there is no plan or effort to clean the place. This lands on ownership. Birdcall is a chain establishment that focuses on fried chicken products which includes sandwiches, wraps, sliders, tenders, and salads. The employees here are amiable. Unfortunately, the Nashville Deluxe isn't at this location so I got a Bees Knees instead which has hot honey, Calabrian chili aioli, romaine, and pickled banana pepperrs. I also ordered a chocolate shake. They sure make their sandwiches presentable by putting some sort of shine product on the buns. Amazingly, the sandwiches taste as good as they look. The chocolate milkshake was also decadently delicious. I found out about this place due to the InKind app so it was nice getting a discount. After the discount, I paid $12.93 for all my food which is a great price. I definitely suggest this place if you've got a hankering for fried chicken sandwiches. I would say the only foible is that they should be cleaning their tables periodically considering it wasn't too busy when I was dining there. read more

I was in the area and wanted a little something for lunch and this restaurant had great reviews on Google, so I stopped in at Birdcall. It looks like they want you to use a big kiosk to order, and I started to do that, but didn't see any way to do "easy sauce" on my sandwich so I ended up asking one of the real employees if they could help me, which they did. After ordering, my name was on a screen with approximate wait time for my food. Something like 8 minutes, so... maybe not the fastest food, but at least it's prepared to order. The grilled chicken caesar sandwich I ordered was tasty enough and the strawberry lemonade was nice and tart. While I was waiting for my food, another customer called out to me and loudly made sure I knew the restaurant was offering a free milkshake if I wrote them a 5 star review on Google. It made me question the star rating I'd seen before coming in. In the end, my chicken sandwich was good. Not the best I've ever had, but nothing wrong with it, and good taste. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit. Comfortable atmosphere, and parking was easy. Prices seemed fair to me. Best fried chicken place I've tried in a while. The chicken is so succulent, crispy and flavorful, that I am in heaven with every bite. The best tell of good fried chicken strips, is how it stands up on its own without sauce. And my gosh, it's fantastic just as is! The last time I went, the order was taken quite quickly, accurately, and all with a very friendly demeanor. Additionally, this is one of the freshest chicken places I've been to. Everything is made to order, PIPING hot. Every time I've gone, I've had such a toss up between fries and their tater tots. Both are so good, but the tater tots always seem to have a sour cream & onion flavor, which elevates them even more. The food, friendly service, and also very clean, bright environment makes this particular location very special. I look forward to eating here many, MANY more times. I was in craving for chicken sandwiches & a somewhat healthy salad. It was like a ... calling -- so I picked the Birdcall. I was disappointed ! It was a quick process to order & ready - the pick up part was a little confusing. The drive through was long, after I waited a bit & decided to park and came in. The place is nice, clean, and roomy inside. I can see my food bag with name on it and ready to for pick up, to confirm with the Uber Eat app. However, at counter, it was super busy with customers. There was only one server / cashier / worker... doing multiple things -- I feel bad for her. There are other people head off me picking up their food bag in a nicely organized & numbered slots -- however, my order (bag) was not . I waited a few more mins...finally !!! The food: 1. The Caesar Salad was very disappointing-- not fresh ingredients (old / brown pieces pf lettuce); and the portion is sadly small for $12.95. The tater tots were also small (about 16 pieces) for $4.90. It tasted okay -- a lot of different flavors, not much my favorites. The Bee Knee's sandwich was okay -- by the time I tasted it, it was a bit soggy, the over flavor was not really good. At the end of May, I ordered a salad in the drive through and was given BBQ sauce as dressing instead of the dressing that went w the salad. The sauce was put on and was a poor taste/combination. The salad had to be discarded. A male "manager or ast manager" was contacted who was respectful and professional. He indicated he put my name down for a new salad. After leaving town for a month, I returned for the salad replacement to which an ast manager, Drew Buckles, told me my name was not written down and it's been too long anyway to get my replacement so she'd give me $5 off. She spoke w a smirk on her face and was rather dismissive and stated she wouldn't "replace my salad for just a missing dressing anyway". If I can pay almost $20 for a chicken salad- they should care to get it right, provide the right order, and respect the dressing that I am supposed to be given. Therefore, I asked for the managers name and Drew gave me a business card w their name. I called back after I left as I forgot to ask the ast manager their name. The person that answered the phone was extremely rude telling me to look at the card and the manager and ast manager'e names are on the card- she actually argued w me telling me both names were on the card. When I told her for the 3rd time it wasn't and to tell me the spelling for their first and last name she accused me of being rude. I have attached the card to show - there was only the manager name and her behavior was unprofessional and uncalled for. All in all- the service was terrible! The employees were unprofessional and condescending! I finally stopped into Birdcall after driving by for almost a year, and honestly, I wish I had just kept driving. The experience was disappointing from the moment I walked in. I'm not a fan of fully computerized ordering--at the very least, someone should be there to greet you or offer assistance. Instead, there wasn't a single employee visible in the front of the restaurant from the moment I started my order to the moment I left. I even watched another customer walk in, realize they had to order everything themselves, and immediately turn around and leave. Not exactly a great business model. After placing my order, the screen told me it would take 13 minutes--which felt excessive considering I was the only customer inside. When it finally showed as ready, someone in the back handed my meal to a drive-through customer by mistake. At that point, I wasn't about to wait another 13 minutes for chicken tenders and fries. Overpriced food combined with bad service is never a good combination. I wouldn't be surprised if this location is up for lease within a year. I won't be coming back. read more

Tater tots were amazing, but it seems like the ranch that was packed in my salad had expired. It was both very thin with THICK CHUNKS. It was very tasty, fresh and the tots were super crispy. To order you have one option: use the Kiosk and pay with a credit card. That is a pain if you want to pay cash. I've been meaning to try Birdcall for a while and was pleasantly surprised when they opened a location in CenPho. The facility is neat and clean. It may even be brand new. I believe it sits on the property once occupied by a fast food burger chain, but it now looks entirely different. If you're on the go, a drive thru is available. The service was fast and friendly. When I walked in, an employee asked if it was my first visit and educated me on their offerings. You can use a kiosk to place your order, but the employee was nice enough to place it for me. I grabbed a fountain drink and found a table, then my order arrived moments later. I think orders are usually available for pickup at a dedicated station, but the employee was, once again, nice enough to assist me by bringing it to the table. (While I don't think they formally offer table service, the same employee even checked on me later.) I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was okay, though didn't "wow" me. For a side, I requested the Shaved Brussels Sprouts. While I like Brussels Sprouts, this side dish didn't do it for me. It tasted bitter and I'd pass on it next time. You order, you wait, you pick it up from a bay. Long version - arrived this particular Saturday around 4 pm. Plenty of parking, significantly sized patio, absolutely no one eating inside but us. You place your order at the kiosk, watch the TV screen for your name & order status, pick up your grub from the bay, get your own drinks. I think the 15% tip was too much. We saw bits of food on the bench near where we chose to sit, another table had food on it & one of the chairs, so yeah, not sure clean up is their top priority. We could have moved but it didn't feel like playing musical chairs looking for a pristine place to dine. ;-) Their drinks are what stand out the most. I discovered 1/2 coconut & 1/2 root beer is a great concoction! The buffalo burger was all right, as was the grilled Caesar. The slaws were okay; I will say my sister's buffalo blue cheese slaw was much tastier than the honey ginger slaw I ordered (not enough honey or ginger). All in all, nothing to brag about. Had birdcall for just the second time last night and found their 10 dollar birdbox deal to be totally worth it! You get one slider and two tenders with a sauce and either fries or tots. I will say that this was the first time I had their Nashville hot tenders and they were very very spicy! Sometimes when I have Nashville hot that's not the case but I definitely needed a water near by! We ordered online and picked up and had no issues. I think I found my new favorite place! This chicken restaurant blows those "other" ones out of the water! The chicken sandwiches were so tasty, especially with the herb mayo - but they have a lot of choices. The best part is, Birdcall does not use MSG in their products so I can eat them which I'm so happy about! I love the streamlined ordering here and love getting to see the time on my order, and when it will be done. The tater tots are so good! The seasoning on them is perfection. I really love their sodas, like the root beer and cherry creme. They're so delicious. The decor is nice and the vibes are really fun and laidback. The restaurant was very clean! Waited 20 minutes in a drive-thru, no cars in front or behind us, didn't see anyone inside so they can't blame it on being busy. I watched them open and build this store and had been wanting to try it. I am not sure what all the rage is about chicken sandwiches. Literally, the valley must have about ten places nowadays or more to get a chicken sandwich. That is not even counting regular restaurants and old school fast food places that have chicken too. Is that really necessary? ? lol I guess they are popular and stay open. I found the sandwich nothing really to write home about. However, I am spoiled having had a wonderful chicken sandwich recently in Nashville and another one on a cruise. Today I just got their original to start since it was my first visit. They have other options like a chicken sandwich Schwarma style, and of course the Hot Nashville style. They also have salads and sodas and shakes for drinks. The store and decor is small, cute, and unique. The patio looks very nice. I sat inside but would love to sit one cool day on the cute patio. It could turn noisy thought being on busy 7th street, I will go back to try the other types of sandwiches soon. However, a very nice fellow customer showed me her chopped salad and that looked amazing! She says they get it all the time, take it home for dinner, and just add chicken. She says it is very good and lasts about three meals. It looked huge and very good. My sandwich was good, just again not the best I have ever had. Small and 12 bucks for a combo seemed high to me for what I got. As a side, I get tired of fries all the time so I got the southern Cole Slaw. I was not a fan. Not sure why? It had an odd taste to me, but totally subjective taste buds on my part no fault on the place. Next time though I will get Tots, or fries. I took off a star because I dislike self service places. I know it is the wave of the future but I am an old school hold out on no service experiences. So, here it is very unique and different. You order on a computer. Then, I do have to admit it is cool, they they have this large kiosk smart board wall with all the names of people who have ordered and wait times for their order. Many names will also have what slot your order will show up in. By slot picture in your mind an open concept type of full cubby bookshelf separating the kitchen from the dining room. The boxes are numbered and your food shows up there. They also call out your name when it is done with slot number. The wait time is over estimated. I wonder perhaps to alleviate complaints? Mine said 7 minutes but I had my food in under three. The staff were very, very nice folks. I enjoyed chatting with the young woman who was cleaning the place. Hey, they are community minded, motivated and donate to charity. I love that, They have a sandwich of the month where if you order it 1 percent of sales goes to a charity. First time here. I don't think they have been open very long. I wasn't sold on another chicken sandwich place but the menu looked pretty interesting. So we decided to try. I love the way they do ordering. You swipe your card at the kiosk or order via QR code. Type in your order, check out and you're done. They have friendly staff there to help but I like that I can order at my own pace. Then your fonder pops up on a tracking screen with the estimated time until it's done. When it's done, it tells you which bay to pick it up from. The system worked well. The food was awesome! They really know their way around chicken. The bun was light and held up well. The buttermilk sauce was delicious. The whole sandwich was well-balanced and easy to eat. I like that they had a bit of an alcohol selection, shakes and Tractor soda. Ordering is simple, done on tablets located near the bar. I ordered a southern chicken, added bacon and avocado. For a side I chose Brussel sprouts and went a little crazy ordering a cookie dough shake. Everything was delicious, and by far, exceeded my expectations.
