The last two times I have eaten at Habit, the experience has been less than ideal, to the point that I'm not sure we will be returning. The first time we had issues was a couple months ago. I ordered in the app and went to eat in store with my four young children. We had already ordered and paid, and when we showed up, they told me they were out of French fries. No apologies, no offer to refund, just told us they had no fries and would we like anything else. Young kids don't like onion rings or fried green beans. Needless to say, they were not happy. We did eventually get fries after 45 minutes, but we had already eaten and were ready to go. The second and most recent experience was today. We again ordered take out and I picked up in store. When we arrived home, I realized they did not include any of the drinks and gave us zero sauces, even though we ordered many and even paid extra for some. Very disappointing. I just called to order on the phone number and confirmed I was reaching the Glendale near 7th St location. Guy (not friendly) says yes. Asks for my order. I say I want a burger and onion rings, I ask the size of their shake and HE HANGS UP ON ME. I think ok accidents happen. I call back. He picks up not just the hold button and never says a word, hangs up on me again! I call back and now I'm sitting on hold with music for 10 minutes. Dude you will be reported. Love the habit for the food but the staff at this location always sucks. Don't order for curbside pick up because they won't bring it out. You'll end up waiting for 10 minutes like me and then just going in to get it yourself from the girl just staring off behind the register. Not a single person in line. She'll grab your order that's literally right next to her hand, not say a word or even give a smile. Won't even question why you're inside if your order is for curbside because she never intended on bringing it out. We went yesterday to the Habit Burger on Bell Rd in Glendale, AZ. To our disappointment they no longer offer the impossible burger. Yes they still have a veggie burger but we have no idea what it is like. So many times when we try the veggie burger it looks like alpo dog food and is mushy! We didn't want to order those and have to throw them out. My husband is on a plant based diet because of health reasons. We used to get them in a lettuce wrap which is healthier for him. Habit burger is just another restaurant that we will be crossing off our list along with Rubios, CA fish grill, Torchy's and more. So disappointed. read more

The only good about this " overpriced " establishment, was the 2 items that I purchased at different times were " free " & one a " BOGO ( Buy One, Get One ) " The Charbroiled double cheeseburger was the first, & if I wasn't getting it for free, it would've cost me $7.29, & probably more for the cheese! The second time was the " BOGO " Club chicken sandwich, which cost $10.29 a sandwich! With the taxes it cost $1123, divided by 2, the 2 sandwiches cost about $5.62 each. However, the sandwiches were supposed to come with avocado on them, according to the description or details of what sandwich is made of. As always, when dealing with humans preparing your food, you should check before leaving the establishment. It was the first time, & I only went there because of the " coupon " they sent in the mail to me. My point is this! If you're going to charge your customers these " high " prices, & I get it, that sometimes they have to make a profit, or even try to break even, but make sure what you advertised about the items you're selling are correct, & made to what your advertising! Plus, try to give your customers the quality & qualities of what they're purchasing for the money you're charging them! Not sure who in management made these recent changes, but we won't be back. They've decided to totally close off the drive thru and leave it only for mobile order pick up. Makes next to no sense... The girls who explained it were very apologetic, I can't imagine the amount of irritated people they have to deal with due to these changes from upper up. Also, vegetarians: they have completely removed both the impossible burger and the veggie burger. The "veggie patty" can still be put on a charburger but one of the girls explained to me that they are no longer cooked on their own part of the grill and so there's now cross contamination, like nearly every other restaurant. I have always had fantastic service at this location. It's one of my favorite chocolate shakes of any restaurant. I love the option for the tempura green beans instead of the usual french fries and although I like the burgers, I really love the chicken options. The charburger... Disclaimer: I'm really picky when it comes to hamburger, having grown up with fresh beef from the pasture on the farm. The meat is ok, just a bit greasy and gamey tasting for me. The lettuce, tomato and fixings were good. It was, however, very filling (I didn't get hungry for quite some time after eating it). Since there was no outside patio, we didn't stay and took it to go. Parking lot is quite small. Perhaps if I'd eaten it there, it might have tasted a bit better. Will update this if and when that ever happens. read more

This has been of my favorite places since I moved out of Cali. The teriyaki char is my absolute favorite. Bit there are so many options: Santa Barbara Cobb is delicious. The chicken club is also a great treat. And you can't pass up the fries and onion rings dipped in their ranch.... Making myself hungry again. Well, I recently started a meal plan for health reasons. I have had to limit what I can eat. Let me say I had the grilled chicken sandwich, protein style. Only tomatoes onions and pickles. AMAZING!! The service is just as good. Friday before the holiday rush and I didn't want to cook and I had 2 free Charburger coupons. Stopped in about 5:30. Place was very busy. Counter service was quick and pleasant. 2 free burger, a fried chicken sandwich, 1 fry, 1 onion ring, 3 drinks. Even with the coupons our total was $21. Food arrived fairly quickly, about 10 minutes. Every thing looked great. Chicken sand was huge and 2 people could easily share. Fries good, hot, crispy. Food was good. Nothing extraordinary, it's burgers right? The strawberry limeade was awesome and worth the trip. Rings reminded me of Jack in the Box rings and not worth the extra cost. Stick with the fries. I wanted a quick hamburger to tide me over til dinner and wanted to try somewhere I hadn't been to before that was close by. I thought I should try this place as I have seen a number of them around. They make your hamburger to order so you should expect it to have a really fresh taste. I was a little disappointed with my charburger as it didn't have much flavor. The carmelized onions were overshadowed by the crispy toasted bun. The lettuce and tomato were okay and the meat was cooked although a little greasy. The reason this restaurant scored four stars was the wonderful French fries. They may have had too much added salt but they sure tasted yummy. My burger and fries were ready in about 13 minutes which seemed reasonable for a Sunday order just after noon. The restaurant had over half the tables filled and at least one uber eats or GrubHub order was picked up while I waited. The parking lot is small and I nabbed the only available space by the trash bin. In my view there are other hamburger restaurants that will give you a better bang for your buck. Soggy fries, soggy bread, etc. We had to reheat everything when we got home 3) I received a practically a half order of garlic fries. How am I gonna be charged for a full order of garlic fries where I only get a few LIMP fries and no garlic sauce This shelter in place has allowed for staff to throw care and quality out the window. On my 2nd HBG visit I tried their new items: The teriyaki steak sandwich and chicken asparagus salad. They were both great and the salad was large with alot of grilled, white meat chicken. The fries were outstanding as well. Service was some of the best I've encountered from front manager Brianna, Asst. Manager Angie and Cashier Evelyn. It was getting very busy after 5pm and they were friendly, professional and fast with orders. Seating is very comfortable with several booths and the property is very clean with a nice sized parking lot. Value is above average. Recommended. read more

I've been going to the Habit for several years now starting when I lived in CA. I typically order the Santa Barbara Burger - no problem. This time my burger arrived cold. I suspect they forgot I had also ordered chicken nuggets because they arrived piping hot! So my burger had to sit and wait while they cooked the nuggets. I advised the manager and he immediately made me a new burger and corrected the problem. Not a big deal, but i think I'll have the salad next time. My husband and I have been going to The Habit since it opened and never had any problems until Aug. 16, 2025. It was busy as usual, however the girl on the register acted like everyone that walked in was a hassle she didn't want to deal with. I ordered my usual chicken caesar salad and asked for an extra dressing as one is never enough. My husband usually gets the Portabello Mushroom burger with onion rings in place of fries and as he ordered it she sneered "We no longer have that since last week" and walked off to help someone whom had a takeout order. He ended up getting a BBQ Bac Burger(a lot smaller than the other was) and again I made sure she knew I wanted an extra dressing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Went to sit down and only table available was dirty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we finally got our food still no extra dressing but was hungry so I blew it off. As we were eating a couple of other customers came to pick up orders and you could tell they were not happy however I did not listen to the whole conversation because she was being just as condescending to them as she had been to us. When my husband and I made the comment that she needs to relay to her boss that practices like that are what make you lose customers her reply was "That's ok. We've got more" clearly not knowing any customer service at all! Bad food, bad service, not worth the high price of a salad and burger.
