Toasted Owl Cafe is a breakfast and brunch place that specializes in items such as salads, vegan options, pancakes, omelettes, Mexican options, burgers, sandwiches, and more. I tried out a prosciutto & brie omelette and paid $3.50 extra to replace the toast with one huge pancake. At the time of this writing, this chain of restaurants is partnered with the InKind app which can get you 20%-35% discounts. My food cost me $20ish which includes the tax, discount, and tip. My favorite part of the meal was the pancake. I also really love the atmosphere as they have a veritable plethora of different owl paintings and decorations.

I was really excited to try this place for my birthday today . We sat down to eat wait for 10 minutes and in that time the "manager" passed us 3 times not once asking if we want a drink or check on us. I spoke with the manager who didn't really have anything to say maybe she felt we didn't fit in to cafe. Really disappointed as I wanted this place to be a good experience.

Great selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The avocado toast was good, but nothing spectacular. The breakfast potatoes were great. I came in on a Wednesday morning and was the only customer but still felt rushed. I do want to preference that I'm not from Arizona so maybe this is typical for service standards but I wasn't told of any specials or given any recommendations. Pretty much just handed a menu and given two minutes to decide what to order. The actual establishment is super cute and all the owl decorations are adorable. I do want to go back and give it another try. The mushroom omelette sounds great.

I've been a regular at this cute restaurant for many years, predominantly for brunch, and never had a bad experience. The food is always perfect, and I love that there are many vegetarian options. Love the owl theme and all the trinkets everywhere. Service is consistently good. It's a very cute place, and I always hop over to Changing Hands Bookstore after eating to browse around. Always plenty of parking available.

The portions here were amazing, for the price you definitely get enough foods worth! The staff was friendly and interacted with us just enough which I always love. The place was pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon which was surprising. Love the bookstore next door!

Service was great -- super friendly. The space is also really nice, and the attached bookstore was a fun bonus to browse while we waited. Food was just okay. It came out pretty fast, which was nice, but it felt a little rushed. I got the avocado toast and was expecting something crispy and toasty... but it was basically avocado on soft, untoasted bread. My partner's egg breakfast came with an English muffin that also wasn't toasted. Nothing terrible, just a little underwhelming on the toast front. Great vibes and service though!

Went today for breakfast. Quickly seated and got great service. The food was very tasty. I could've easily just had one pancake. They are super filling and perfectly cooked. Would totally go back again for breakfast

I met with some friends for brunch before work and we had to try this spot out! This has been on my list to visit for a long time and it did not disappoint! The service was quick and the food was delicious. There was plenty of food for this bowl as well, it was quite filling. The potatoes and veggies were magnificent. There were so many owls, you can buy any one of them! I debated on buying a snowy owl from this place, I may just have to go back and buy one. I highly recommend coming here and eating at this warm & cozy restaurant spot!

Really enjoyed this breakfast a lot. The staff was so friendly and gave us our food so quickly. I ordered a two egg breakfast and it was yummy. The eggs were a bit overcooked but it was still good. The cinnamon roll is a must. We shared one at our table and it was so good! They also do. Free birthday cinnamon roll. They also have bathrooms and lots of seating. I loved how everything was purchasable in the restaurant room from chairs to plates.

Tried for the first time and was delicious, but for a regular breakfast-not sure you can mess it up. 2 eggs scrambled well, 2 sausage (little burnt), home fries and English muffin. I had coffee( smooth and got a to go cup for the ride home). Ended up buying a coffee mug just cause. $33+tip. Nice decor, owls everywhere, music in the background and service was great.

Family raved about this café in Tucson so I was delighted to see one in Phoenix close to favorite shops (Dollar Tree and Target!). The décor is interesting. Obviously, owls are prominent in their decorating scheme but everything (including the overhead lights) has a price tag on it. It's a very colorful, noisy, casual atmosphere. We got the best of both worlds on a mild Saturday morning when we were seated right next to the patio in a wide doorway that kept the shade on us but let us enjoy the fresh air. The menu has a wide variety of breakfast /lunch items that appear to take most dietary restrictions into consideration. I had a really tasty beet salad that combined beets, blueberries, cherries and goat cheese over some fresh greens. My guest had the fried chicken sandwich and some of her French Fries. I accidentally ate some of them. Service was friendly, the food came out quickly and we enjoyed the environment. I felt it was a good value for the price.

I had been to the Flag location several years ago and was super excited to have a location a bit closer to tucson! While in phx for a late sunday concert- we absolutely needed yummy body fuel the next morning! My gal pal is vegan so this was a no-brainer pick for us since they have a dedicated vegan menu! As a non-veg I still ordered the vegan chorizo burrito because it is THAT good! Packed with veggies (carrots, Brussels, zucchini, and more), just egg, soyrizo, and perfectly seasoned potatoes into a vegan tortilla! AMAZING! Staff were super chill - as seems to be the toasted owl way- and of course the entire place is decked to the teeth with adorable owlish ephemera and collectables (all for sale even)!

**July 2026: Saturday Night Visit**…read more My friend and I had been eating a lot of heavy food this summer and were really craving something healthy and nutritious. It was also pretty late on a Saturday night, so we wanted something fast and convenient, which led us to Flower Child. Flower Child is such a great fast-casual spot if you're looking for a lighter meal with bowls, salads, wraps, and plenty of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. It's especially nice if you want something veggie-forward or gluten-free. We decided to order the Turkey Cobb salad for $14.45 and a seasonal summer salad for $13.95, which had strawberries, heirloom tomato, watermelon, quinoa, marcona almonds, arugula, and balsamic dressing. We also added shrimp for $7.45 and got their housemade lemonades, which were really refreshing. The meal was exactly what we were looking for. My body definitely appreciated the nutrient-dense food, but it still felt light, which was perfect since we were eating so late. I'm definitely a fan!

Food is delivered fast, within about 5-10 minutes after ordering at the counter. Staff here is friendly, patient and helpful when someone who can't decide between all of the options is in front of them. :) I ordered "the rebel" French dip and loved every bite of it. I especially loved the little side salad that came with it that I wasn't expecting. The French dip itself was savory, tender, flavorful and the horseradish added the perfect "kick" to the wrap. I'd definitely order it again but there were also so many other things that I'd try on the menu! I'll stop back every time I'm in Arizona because it's worth the trip to try everything that looks so yummy!

My daughter has been raving about this place so I thought I would give it a shot and googled if…read morethere was an Angie's near where I was going to be and lo and behold, there was not too far away at 1st Ave/Thomas. That location is close to a place I go to frequently, so this is another option for me if I should need some food and don't want to do Salad & Go, but want something healthy. I got an Asian Grilled Burrito with Wild Salmon. Was driving so a bowl I could not do. I could barely eat the burrito driving because it's sort of flat and had rice. It was very yummy. Something I learned was Angie's does not have straws and if you order a Refresher, they give you a packet of something to put in the cup. You have to figure out how to make the Refresher, which I saw at the soda fountain dispenser there was sparkling water, so I did that and some Vanilla Torino's. I went about 11 am, and the Torino's were nearly gone and the little table that it was on was fairly unclean. The area to order, where you pickup the order, the soda area, and the metal table by the soda area were all really close and crowded. Since this was my first time there, I didn't even understand that you had to order at some kiosk. They had one by the pickup area and 2 more on the east wall. Felt overwhelming for me. I did not see what the dining area looked like. My burrito was $11-12 and the Refresher was $2. My daughter said their prices were much better than Salad and Go and other places, but I found my meal similar. Oh, I guess the getting wild salmon was the costly thing. Had I gotten chicken, it would've been much less. My daughter said she's never had their burritos, only their salads. A lady that had ordered many times there did help me with some things I didn't understand and she said she loves their food. Turns out the owner of Angie's named the places after his mom who passed away about 5 yrs ago. He also started Salad and Go and this is upscale from Salad and Go. I'm glad this is an option. But maybe they can keep prices good is to cut on the things that don't really matter as much and focus on the food. I'm good with that. The next time I go to an Angie's, I will be better prepared. There isn't one too close to me like there are lots of Salad and Go's, so I hope they open some in Gilbert, Mesa, and Scottsdale. Oh, parking is not that great at this location. You basically need to be heading east on Thomas before 1st Ave as there are a few parking spots on the diagonal. Don't park in the First Watch parking lot. If you're coming west on Thomas, make a u-turn after you pass 1st Ave.

It was an amazing value for the money and the chicken was tender, spinach was crisp...I was impressed! Tonight I stopped by and decided to try the prime beef bowl with the cilantro dressing. I was delighted with the value, serving size and quality of the meat and ingredients. The "slop bowl" is a strong concept these days -- a jumble of veggies, fillers like quinoa or rice, and protein. Pleased to report that Angie's stands apart from the crowded field, distinguished by flavor and quality. Worth noting: you place orders on the kiosk and can customize. There are quesadillas, bowls, plates and more from which to choose. Because you do the order selection and input, the staff can focus entirely on assembling and delivering the orders. Efficient, orderly, but without the pleasure of a great server-customer interaction. That said, the value is unmatched.

You feel like you need to speak quietly but obviously, that is not the case. The chips and salsa are a good start with three different spice levels. The chips are fresh and perfectly salted. Tacos here are not street tacos and that is evident by the prices, a healthy chunk per taco. We each ordered two tacos that are full sized and stuffed with ingredients. The fried fish taco was lightly battered and flaky cod with Mexican slaw and chipolte aioli. The dry Mexican slaw overwhelmed the dish and made it difficult to taste the other ingredients. The carnitas taco with braised pork, pickled onions and cilantro was juicy. The panko coconut shrimp with diced pineapple salsa and green onion needs more salsa or an aioli for flavor. Our final taco was the shredded duck breast with lemon / pineapple crema, duck skin chicharron, green onions and pear slaw. Again, a weaker flavor profile and no WOW factor. Taco Guild has a beautiful building, interior and layout but the large tacos are lacking real flavor combinations that make you wanting to return. The tacos are stuffed and large but not memorable, it taste to much like fillers not flavor bombs. I hope that a review and tweak of the menu will propel they back to more exciting times.
