Beautiful space, but opening-day kinks to work out I stopped by on grand opening day! It was busy, which was expected, but the food took over an hour--much longer than I anticipated. While waiting, I tried the tiramisu latte, but it was too sweet and lacked coffee flavor. I was hoping to try the date drinks, but the employee mentioned they were sold out (though interestingly, they were still available for sale in their little market section!). As for the main meal, they forgot my pita bread, and the falafel was over-fried with a bitter aftertaste. They definitely have great menu options, but the overall execution and quality weren't quite there that day. The Highlights: Atmosphere: Beautiful mural, cute decor, and a very spacious layout with a patio--perfect for larger groups. Parking: Shared lot with multiple restaurants, so keep that in mind depending on peak hours. They have a lot of potential given the space and menu concept, but service efficiency and food quality need some tuning after the grand opening rush.

In office work week. Cooking yeah no. So to my friendly yelp app I go. I come in and Vanessa in the restaurant portion takes my food order. What to my wandering eyes should appear they have a flipping coffee baklava bar. Stop it and Turkish coffee first time I had it was in Tempe at one of the oldest Middle Eastern grocery store restaurants in AZ Haji Baba. Theirs is on that same punch you in your face coffee kick. Leah hooked up the coffee. The interior is gorgeous, due to my Ozempic journey my foodie experience are sample everything on the plate and I'll have a few days of leftovers. I had the lamb shank entree, can we say perfectly cooked tender and flavorful on the bed of rice flipping 5 stars. Love the dolma tender flavorful. I got baklava to go I'll likely update the review once I try them. My only 3 stars was the hummus it was a little too whipped for me & I would have preferred more lemon. The Greek salad 4 stars less dressing but I will get on side next visit but it was good. Customer service is missing in today's world but Vanessa & Leah nailed it. FLUFFY GRANDMA RECOMMENDS

I can't decide if I love the people or food more!! My husband said it's the best gyro he's ever had and I love their plates that include a meat, salad, hummus, pita, and rice. So much good for a great price and I always have leftovers for the next day. They have delicious fries too!! The Medjool cafe inside is also a nice perk for some treats and coffee. This is their newest location and is very beautiful inside and out, with lots of seating. The staff are all incredible, very kind and helpful. I love Princess Pita soooo much!!!

    #2 Chicken Shawarma Entree

Princess Pita offers a decent meal, but it didn't quite hit the mark for us. My wife ordered the Falafel Entree, which included falafel, salad, rice, hummus, and pita bread, while I had the Chicken Shawerma Entree, served with chicken breast, salad, rice, and hummus. The ambiance was basic but clean, and the service was great. However, the food itself lacked inspiration and felt fairly average. We've found other spots in the valley that offer more authentic or flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine, so we likely won't be rushing back.

Outstanding Mediterranean food in midtown! More and more great ethnic restaurants are coming to Phoenix and princess Pita makes a mark. Delicious selections and the hummus was spot on! The servers were attentive and they catered to my girlfriend's allergies. It's a large open space with plenty of seating and I'll definitely return.

came here for the coffee shop inside - Medjool Cafe and can't wait to come back and try all their good flavors. I also need to try the food here next time as it looked amazing. The people are very attentive here and I like the music too. It's a really pretty spacious atmosphere and not too loud. I got the white chocolate pistachio latte and it was just a little too sweet for me, but I am still down to try the other flavors.

Co-worker and I stopped in for lunch. We each ordered gyros with Greek fries. She chose regular gyro and I went to the Deluxe. Gyro was pretty good. It had pickles on it which I'm not used too and might order without next time. Flavor was good, though not too strong. The Greek fries were pretty good, but might want to try putting some in the basket, adding some toppings and repeat so all the fries get a chance at the feta and tzatziki. The interior is really nicely decorated. Simple, yet pleasing and clean. The sweets at the Medjool Cafe looked amazing and we both said we're definitely coming back to try some of those. But we also want to return to try some of the other menu items. The entrees looked delicious! Great to have something new in the neighborhood! Looking forward to many more great lunches!

I usually like to visit a spot a couple times before I review but we really enjoyed the food and the staff were really nice. We ordered the gyro deluxe, dolma pita and hummus, my son had #12. Dolma was delicious, our gyros were so good, the Greek fries we loved. My son enjoyed his chicken plate, I tried some of his rice and the flavor of it was so good. We tried a couple different baklavas and so very good. The atmosphere is pretty chill, portions are pretty big. Definitely going to be coming back.

We went on the grand opening night, and the staff despite being quite busy provided excellent service. The building has beautiful art and helps set the scene and culture of the restaurant. For food, we ordered the Greek fries, the shawarma combo plate, and the steak kebab plate. The Greek fries were a standout. They were crispy, crunchy, and well seasoned. The shawarma plate was large and good value. We were also pleasantly surprised by the amount of pita bread we received on the side. However, we felt the beef on the shawarma plate was too salty, and the steak kebab was too bland. The chicken on the shawarma was perfectly seasoned. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will return!

Went during lunch it was a nice clean restaurant. There is coffee and pastries also. I ordered grilled chicken plate. Food was good.. The portion was pretty big considering the $18 price. It's not place with wait staff but rather you order and grab a seat.

Baklava Cheesecake slice. Do you like cheesecake. Do you like baklava. You'll love this.

Just off of Central with plenty of parking in the back side. You walk in the back through a patio with outdoor seating. The lighting is very inviting with the clean ambiance. There is a coffee shop inside as well for your caffeine fix. Everything looks very clean. Friendly staff greeted me as soon as we walked in. Apparently this location recently opened. Walk up to the counter and order. I had a gyro and Greek fries with a side of falafels. Very good. Tasted the chicken shawarma and it too was delicious. The staff were very friendly, helpful and made sure all our needs were met. I can't wait to go back and try the Turkish coffee, which looked really good. Bathrooms were clean, which always brings a smile to my face.

Tasty with generous portions. The baklava was great. Unfortunately, I was too stuffed to try any more of the many amazing looking pastries in the display case!

I'd been here several times years ago, and after coming back, I'm honestly wondering why I don't eat here more often. I ordered the chicken shawarma, a stuffed grape leaves platter, and hot tea. Everything was exactly what I hoped it would be. The chicken was well-seasoned, tender, and wrapped with the classic toppings, and the portion was fair for the price. Speaking of price, the value here is honestly hard to beat. The stuffed grape leaves platter came with hummus, tabbouleh, pita, and hot stuffed grape leaves. I had completely forgotten they serve them warm, and my brain needed a minute to recalibrate because I'm so used to cold dolmas everywhere else. Once I took a bite, though... yep. That's how they're supposed to taste. Soft, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I ended up adding some of the hummus and tabbouleh to my shawarma, which made an already great sandwich even better. The service was just as impressive as the food. My server was genuinely kind, gave me a few extra minutes when I couldn't decide, checked in without hovering, and even offered to package my hot tea to go when he noticed I was still working on it. (For the record, ordering an entire pot of tea for one person was an ambitious life choice on my part.) The dining room isn't huge, and there's also a small market attached, which adds to the charm. This place reminds me that consistency is underrated. Years later, I came back, and it was just as good as I remembered. Great food, great service, great value. I'll try not to wait so long before my next visit.

Every detail you notice is extravagant and purposeful. Visiting on a Saturday for lunch, there were plenty of other families eating together too. I noticed the crowd was mostly older, which lets you know this restaurant is a true staple in the community (I find that usually the old people know what's up). As all 4 of us weren't super hungry, we split the Persian Room Special- Combination of barg (Filet mignon), chicken filet and Koobideh kebab, served with basmati rice and grilled tomato. It was a huge portion of food, served on a large silver platter. The menu states that it serves 2, but it perfectly filled us 4 adults! Granted, we weren't super hungry to begin with, but 2 is definitely an underestimate. I'd say it can easily satisfy 3 hungry adults. Anyway, quantity aside, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Everything was so flavorful and paired well together. The meat was also juicy. My favorite was the koobideh kebab for sure. There isn't much more I can say, as the food speaks for itself. The Persian Room is definitely something you need to try for yourself. Weeks later, I'm still craving it and will definitely be back!

Thankfully this was a business meal, but we would have been both extremely disappointed had it come from our own pockets. Given all the five star reviews, I want to think this was a really off night. Wouldn't be my first choice next time, but I could go back and give it another shot.

Today, looking for an early dinner spot, I came upon Baiz Market. A small Middle Eastern grocery store with a sit down restaurant inside called Al-Hana. There's actually three Baiz Markets here in town, but the original is tucked away just east of the Garfield neighborhood on the eastern fringe of Downtown. I've had some great Middle Eastern fare here in town from the likes of places such as Middle Eastern Bakery and Haji Baba. But Arizona Republic food columnist Dominic Armato has said Al-Hana is one of his top 100 go to spots in the valley. So on a Thursday afternoon, off I went. You'll find Al-Hana inside the original Baiz Market on the southeast corner of 20th Street and Fillmore. There are also Baiz Markets in west Phoenix and now in west Mesa, each with their own Al-Hana restaurants. But this one is the original. Adnan Baiz and his family run this local chain which is open to all, but catering particularly to the valley's growing Middle Eastern community. In the time I spent inside Baiz today, there was a kaleidoscope of customers coming in and out. From Downtown college kids, to Muslim families, to Latino workers stopping in for a meal, and even a few African American grandmothers just grabbing some grocery items. Clearly I'm not the only one in the area who knows about this place. But how good is the food at Al-Hana? Step up to the counter in back, gaze at the menu above (or at the display case below) and make your choices. I ordered an app and an entree for my first go around. First, a small cheese pie. A mix of feta and mozzarella cheeses on house made dough which is crimped to make sure none of that cheesy goodness escapes. Heated in the oven and served warm. For my entree, I went for a Chicken Shawarma entree. Basmati rice, veggies, pickles, garlic sauce, and a pair of large pita bread slices. Oh and of course the chicken, seasoned and sliced off the spinning grill right in front of you. Total cost for everything including tax? About $11. Food came out to me in a little less than 5 minutes. You can also get it to go if you want, but I dined in the small seating area next to the kitchen this go around. First, the cheese pie. And I now get why Yelpers and Armato hype this up. The dough is the best part. Crunchy on the outside, but soft, chewy, and hearty on the inside. And the cheese mix is perfect. And for just $1 its a perfect starter snack for pretty much any meal. How about the shawarma plate? The chicken was excellent. Seasoned perfectly with just a hint of char. The sides? Meh. The basmati rice was actually a big disappoint to be honest. Super dry and almost flavorless. The pita bread was fine, though I've had better on that front as well. All things considered though, a pretty decent meal (and portion) and a solid value for the price. Next time I'm here I'll probably opt for the kabobs, or perhaps grab a meat pie. Given the uniqueness of the groceries available here, the fully halal restaurant menu, and the mixed neighborhood it resides in, I can understand why Baiz endures in Downtown's ever changing landscape. We're much more spoiled for choice on Middle Eastern cuisine in the valley today than when Baiz originally opened in 2004. And there are many other Middle Eastern restaurants that can match or top Al-Hana's food at this point. But much the way Ranch Markets offer a unique way to shop for the valley's Latino communities, Baiz is giving the valley's Middle Eastern residents something with them in mind. If ever there was an establishment in the valley proving that Phoenix is becoming an international food destination, its Baiz.

Great food... Went in today, but they are still closed. I'll update my post when they open.read more

The rice is good, but sometimes I want something else, and there isn't any other choice. - The robot servers are weird... not the worst, but this is the only place I've ever been that has them, and they still want a full tip despite using these. - Service overall isn't the most attentive. Not horrible, but again, see above. Like I said though, we'll keep going back!

Always a fun date night!!! I absolutely love their restaurant because they offer great deals,…read moredelicious food, fun romantic atmosphere, they have outside seating, and the staff are always so welcoming. Their food portions are amazing!! I always leave with alittle left over! Definitely worth the money! Super convenient location! I think it's so cool they use the robots sometimes to deliver food or drinks. Their juices are so delicious! I try to get new ones each time I visit. Highly recommend any! My favorite dish is their chicken kebabs or beef kebabs! Their sides are just as delicious ! They usually come with rice and veggies! They do have handicap parking and yes there is plenty of parking!
