My bf and I were so excited to try this place and saw the high yelp rating. But I was left unhappy and unsatisfied. The vibes, the pictures of food, and the sound of all these healthy, seasonal food are incorporated in the food sounds great. But what we got was not to our liking at all. No complaint for service and we still tip even though we really didn't like it. Lamb chop with saffron rice: I was excited for this dish but something just tastes different or "off" to me. It was slightly gaming but I didn't mind that, but the flavors used just throws me off. It's probably because I wasn't familiar with the new flavor. There was also a blueberry sauce and blueberries to go with the lamb too. As for the rice, I was expecting savory saffron flavor rice. Yet, it was sweet because they added pineapple. So the rice was sweet instead of savory. 12oz ribeye - I think this dish suppose to come with fries but we didn't get fries. The steak had a lot of fat instead of a good quality meat. The rice was also not great. We wished we liked this place but it wasn't to our tastebuds.

Brunch here on a Sunday and patio dining was a good experience. Nice patio & weather was good and the service team was very attentive and friendly. Dean & Jesha (sp?) were very nice and helpful with recommendations of dishes. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here -- definitely coming back & out in our recommendation to some friends. This is a cool restaurant with ample patio space almost like a courtyard. The restaurant is Mediterranean/Egyptian themed and the music and belly dancer entertainer fit the atmosphere. Staff is friendly but they forgot to bring a takeout box and check when requested and we waited an additional 10 minutes before leaving. The soups are quite large portions. We had both the carrot and lentil soup which are quite tasty. The carrot soup is slightly sweet. The Octopus appetizer is very well done and delicious. The Kashari is quite large and becomes monotonous. I would enjoy this more as a side dish and split it between the group.

Absolutely adorable Mediterranean restuarant with Chef Dean doing an exquisite job. The octopus was amazing(per those who enjoyed that), we enjoyed the sea bass, hummus, and kabobs. Our dinner was delicious, and the ambiance was on point. We were sat upstairs and enjoyed a quieter spot for our larger party.

Unique location rate multi culture, decoration, and music. Menu is a bit pricey, but service is great.

This place has soul. Some restaurants serve great food. A few create real memories. Urban Fraiche does both. Let's start with the food- because it deserves it. The foie gras was silky and perfectly seared, the lamb shank melted off the bone with rich, comforting depth, and the beef Wellington was just spot-on (which is rare). Lamb chops were juicy and full of flavor, and the kefta brought that perfect balance of spice and freshness. And then dessert... stunning. Playful, beautiful, and just as good as it looked. You can feel that everything is intentional here - seasonal, locally sourced, organic. This isn't just cooking, it's craft. The ambiance pulls you in immediately. Warm, colorful, slightly exotic in the best way. The kind of place where even the glassware feels curated. It's cozy, but alive. But what really stayed with me? The people. Owner-chef Dean and his lovely wife Heba are something special. I mentioned we were celebrating my son's engagement, and they turned dinner into an experience - champagne, an amazing dessert, and even a belly dancer that brought the whole night to life. It felt personal, not staged. Genuine hospitality. That's rare. This is not just a place I'll return to - it's a place I'll bring people to. And celebrate here again. Thank you, truly.

What an interesting place. It's a newer local restaurant that features Egyptian/Mediterranean cuisine. It has an Egyptian theme as you walk through the entrance then turns into Mediterranean as you walk into the main dining room and the outside patio was eclectic hippy vibe. We were greeted with a smile and enthusiasm then seated right away. They use all natural ingredients and NO SEED OILS! It's hard to find a place like this. The appetizers and entrees were excellent. The Lamb Shank fell off the bone and the chicken was tasty. I'm not sure if you can order pita or not but we needed it to soak up the sauces. It was a nice experience and definitely will return.

This is easily making our list of favorite spots. And not just around PHX... ever. Trust me, just go. They use ZERO seed oils or added sugar, and the entire place is farm to table (like they have their own lambs raised) We basically built our own tasting menu between the appetizers and everything was 10/10. Will def be back to try the entrees! Which aren't the cheapest but... based on the appetizers, I'd say it's worth it . We tried and loved: Beet salad Octopus Lamb chops with saffron rice Filet Mignon kebabs Baklava & Turkish Coffee Also did the cocktail named after the restaurant which was so good. Spirit forward and fresh. The owner was talking about his cold brew process for making an espresso martini without the "usuals" (yes, even all liquor fits the "no added sugar"/artificial ingredients bit) and I'll def be trying that as well!

Food is SO high-quality and flavorful. Delightful and helpful staff who seem to really like working there. Patio ambiance made it feel like we were on vacation. Truly another gem in Central Phoenix.

What an entertaining dinning experience! First, this restaurant has so many interesting decors - overwhelming but fun. They also have belly dance performance a few times a week, which creates a wholesome dinning experience. Then the food. As you can see in the photos, a lot of things were going on in one plate. But surprisingly, they all went well together. The octopus had a strong charcoal smell but not overcooked. The watermelon salad was refreshing and nutty. The goat curry was so rich, tender, and not gamey at all. Their deserts were good too. Especially the rice pudding, creamy and flavorful. The owner told us that all the veggies came from local farms, which we believed because everything had a way better taste. Would love to come back again for more delicious food!

Didn't know what to expect seeing Urban Fraiche on Resy but it blew us away with their food quality and hospitality. Entering the restaurant it feels like you're walking through an open air market on the Nile. The decor is very eccentric with lots of Egyptian theming throughout. You sure don't feel like you're in Phoenix anymore! We got the watermelon salad, grilled octopus, curry goat and ended the meal with baklava and Syrian rice pudding. Everything was delicious and you can tell their use of local produce here as they let the natural flavors shine. My favorites were the grilled octopus charred perfectly with an array of sauces on the plate with pear and mango. It looked crazy but it was one of my favorite renditions of the dish. Curried goat was fork tender and you could tell the quality of ingredients in the cous cous with raisins and nuts. Syrian rice pudding is a must order for dessert as I loved that combo of not to sweet rice pudding balanced with I believe rose, mango and hazelnuts. The owner himself is a whirlwind of energy finishing plates and introducing himself through the dining room. We got to take some photos with him at the end with Cleo's tiara and a King Tut hat. He's a hoot and an absolute joy to be around. It was hilarious hearing his stories and how he found some of his furniture pieces and artifact replicas in his dining room. He even has a life size replica of King Tuts throne if you wanna sit there. Also has a furniture and antique store nearby that sells some of the pieces he's found. This restaurant really feels like an extension of himself and his pride of Egypt. Service was excellent and they even have belly dancing Thursday - Sunday. Definitely one of the best meals and experiences we've had in Phoenix! Highly rated if you wanna experience delicious Mediterranean fusion with amazing hospitality.

Great food. Great service. Really a fun and relaxing place to enjoy a meal. We will definitely be back.

Amazing! My friend and I had a late lunch here and were greeted with one of the best dine in experiences I have had in Phoenix thus far. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and aesthetic. The staff were personable and attentive (s/o to Jessa and Dean)! The food itself was absolutely delicious and filling. 10/10 will be back to experience the dinner atmosphere!

Surprised I haven't left a review yet…read more I love gyro and Middle Eastern food! Green corner has been a favorite for a while now. Big fan of the kibbeh and the beef al sham wraps. The Greek fries are money!! This place is consistent in not just the food, but the service. Everyone is so nice. They are pumped with customers all the time and they keep the place clean and running like a well oiled machine. I've tried over half the menu and everything is good no complaints at all. I'll continue to come here and support green corner. Great job everyone!

What led us to Green Corner back in the dark times of early 2020 when most didnt want to enter and…read moreeat in a restaurant.. was the level of cleanliness and care they took to ensure customers felt comfortable eating during that time frame. But sadly for us, we didn't live anywhere near their original location. So imagine our joy when this location opened a few years later. (And more locations are soon to be open) Staff: every visit to Green Corner and the interactions with staff has been impressive. They are so friendly, talkative, happy and will take you through the menu if it's your first time or repeated trip and want to try something new. I can only image they treat their employees well for everyone to be this pleasant. Food: always amazing, always correct when omitting ingredients for allergies. Massive selection of usual Mediterranean dishes and some great great unique choices. Their lamb is incredible, chops are fantastic but a slightly longer wait to cook; definitely worth the wait. Choices are as massive as their servings. And you can get all the protein choices in plates, bowls, salads or on the side for when you are really hungry. Catering: Nearly every visit we see the staff gathering large container of food for Catering. This never seems to slow down service. Last visit we saw a member of staff counting the food inside the plastic domes to ensure the Catering order was complete. Order food, get a number stand and sit back and wait (not long) for delivery to your table. I'll add here that each time the food is delivered, its with a smile and well wishes. The food and portions are fantastic, they turn hummus into an artwork, they really take pride in their food. My favorite us the Green Corner Mixed grill, I was asked how I would like the meat cooked. Never been asked that before, so I said how do you like it...medium which was extremely tasty... as I am one of those who usually like meat well done. Can't finish, just walk over and pick up togo boxes and bags. One thing that always makes me feel that Green Corner is truly good and authentic food is seeing a number of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean families enjoying their food too. Always a good sign that you have selected a good restaurant. They have a nice outdoor patio and very clean interior. If anyone from the company is reading.. please look at North Phoenix by the TSMC chip plant as your next location. This area is growing immensely and sparse on restaurants

Parking is valet only, but since I'm not about that life, I found some parking on the street in a residential neighborhood five minutes away on foot. Ambiance (5/5): Definitely one of the areas in which thea shines. While they have both an indoor and outdoor area, I highly recommend sitting outside on the rooftop. If you do, you'll experience scenic views of the mountains in the background. If you can catch a sunset here, even better. Outside of the views, the restaurant has the fresh decor you would expect from a Mediterranean/Greek restaurant. There's also an outdoor area, and an indoor bar area, if you're just looking for drinks. Service (5/5): Attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Exactly what I was hoping for, especially on my birthday. They were kind enough to hook me up with a dessert for my special day. Much appreciated! Drinks (4.5/5): A full bar with a nice wine list and an interesting cocktail menu. I split a bottle of wine with my parents, but also started off with a refreshing cocktail. Food (5/5): I started off with the flaming saganaki because how can you say no to cheese flambeed table side. Dinner with a little entertainment. If you've never had saganaki cheese, it's a delicious Greek cheese. Pair it with some pita bread and you have yourself a delicious app. From there, I had the grilled skirt steak with crushed potatoes. Naturally, I ordered my steak medium rare. The skirt steak was sliced and cooked perfectly. The potatoes were well seasoned and paired nicely with the steak. All in all, a perfect meal. My parents similarly had great things to say about their selections. Thea isn't cheap. And it does have the see and be seen type of vibe which I'm not a big fan of. Yet, despite all of that, it's an excellent dining experience all-around. While it's more of a special occasion type of spot in my book, I'm definitely looking forward to stopping by again sometime!
