Food and service was pretty good! BUT, the prices are a bit insane. $18 for house wine? I recognize it's in the Biltmore resort but it wasn't Michelin rated food either! We ordered the wagyu brisket and to be honest it was a bit over salted and dry. The ceviche was super delicious but tiny portion and $33! Not sure we'd be back.

I expected more for the price. I made reservations a week in advance and yet it somehow glitched and they didn't see my reservation on file, although I had marked anniversary as the reason for the visit, they put us in a corner near the traffic area of inside/outside and register. Service was good, no complaints there. The food was so lackluster. The octopus was so small and didn't have anything special about it. The $70 brisket was 5-6 slices of brisket and while it was good, it was so salty it was difficult to eat. The desserts were pretty good, probably my favorite part of the meal. For a $255 dinner for two, I feel like it left a lot to be desired

The Wagyu beef brisket was AMAZING. The service: excellent, knowing the deep history of the Biltmore and the restaurant. The polenta: excellent. Nice quiet restaurant tucked into the corner of an amazing hotel. The Waygu is worth every penny (and it cost a lot of no-longer-accepted Pennie's). Having tasted wagyu prepared in many places, this place tops them all. OMG. Come try it and then reply to me. I dare you to disagree. Wow.

We stayed at the Arizona Biltmore for my birthday trip and came here at one point during the trip (it's within the hotel) for a bit upper scale dining! Beautiful decor, lush and dim lighting, it's a vibe! I ordered the octopus as my appetizer and the chicken option for dinner and both were delicious. I knocked off one star because the cocktails are strong as hell lols if you prefer strong drinks then no problem but for me I like a combo of bitter and sweet and I feel like a good balance between the two couldn't be figured out so I just went with water at one point for the rest of my dinner lols.

For our 3 course meal at Renatta I had the: First course Ceviche- I found the juxtaposition of the traditional sourness of ceviche and smokiness that is more akin to a curry spice from pimenton oil to be interesting and paired well together Second course-Octopus: the octopus was cooked well and had a snappiness when you bite into it and the light tomatoe soup was a nice subtle compliment to the dish. Third course: Wagyu Brisket does taste like a Texas brisket style, very tender and pulled apart easily. The waitress alerted me that this was their specialty, and although the quality was good, my friends and I found that it was a bit too salty and dry. Using minimal ingredients to allow a quality meat to shine on its own is great but I think the flavor could be enhanced. The interior reminded me of a dining hall. service and attention from staff was noted; adding to the experience positively. Their Smokey chips appetizer were also delicious Overall, I would recommend Renata's.

The vibe here is amazing and the patio seating is worth it! I also appreciate the service, we were in a quiet corner but still were well taken care of. We had the mole enchiladas and sea bass & crab ceviche which was so flavorful and then the panna cotta and cheesecake for dessert. I loved that the panna cotta was topped with meringue and croutons it added such a nice texture difference to the panna cotta. This was a nice place for a special occasion!

Renata's food lives on in my memories. The brisket was incredibly tender served with homemade corn and flour tortillas and three crafted salsas. The fried rice was so delicious that I ordered it twice during my 3 night stay. It's garlicky and packed with fresh ginger.

Great food and great staff! Our server was amazing and accommodated my allergy! I loved mezcal margarita and made my boyfriend and I's 4 year anniversary amazing! I will return!! The tomahawk is to die for and everything was delicious!

Renata's Hearth at the Arizona Biltmore is a stunning space with a warm ambiance and beautifully presented food, but unfortunately, it falls into the category of overpriced rather than just expensive. We visited for dinner but, after reviewing the menu, decided to stick with just a couple of appetizers and dine elsewhere. The prices were shockingly high--even for a high-end resort--and didn't seem justified based on the offerings. That said, the dishes we tried were flavorful and artfully plated, as seen in the photos. The ceviche was bright and refreshing, and the crab dish had a lovely balance of textures, but neither felt like they warranted the price tag. The setting is lovely, with a cozy, upscale feel fitting for the Biltmore. Service was professional and friendly, but for the cost, we expected a more memorable dining experience. While I wouldn't write it off entirely, I'd only recommend it if price isn't a concern, or if you're just stopping in for a drink and a light bite. Otherwise, Phoenix has plenty of incredible dining options at much better value.

It's alright. Located in the Arizona Biltmore. It looks great and has a nice atmosphere. Service was on point and attentive. We went with our waiter's suggestions as far as food. First off, I got the El Matador drink. Was not my thing. A little too tart and sweet for me. We got the guac app (good), the tetelas (blah), and the ceviche (very good). Ordered the brisket as the main course. Just ok. Seemed like everything aside from the ceviche needed more seasoning. The salsas were bland. Pricing was resort level.

The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

I found a spot in the surface lot right across the street from one of the most popular Mexican restaurants in town. Ambiance (4/5): The Mission is a nice restaurant. There's a small patio in front and a large patio out back. Sit at the outdoor patio if you can pull it off. Inside is great too, and there's nice artwork both inside and outside. The only issue? It's a popular restaurant and they try to pack in as many people as possible so space is at a premium. That also means that if you come at a peak hour, like we did, it's going to be pretty loud. Service (4/5): There was a wait when we arrived and the bar was full (first come, first served). Luckily, a group was leaving right when I lingered by the bar and we were able to snag the seats. The bartender did a pretty good job taking care of us. There was room for improvement as far as her efficiency and checking in, but overall, given how busy the restaurant was, pretty good. Drinks (4.5/5): The Mission has an interesting cocktail list. As you'd expect, it's tequila-focused but there's a good variety. You'll find creative cocktails which is always big in my book. Plus margaritas like prickly pear margaritas. I went with the correndo na chuva which has cachaca, passion fruit, lemongrass, sherry, and lime juice. Cachaca is a Brazilian liqueur which you don't see in many places so this was a treat. It was a refreshing cocktail. Lots of spicy cocktails are available, too. Food (4/5): While the brunch menu is pretty extensive, I think there's a clear winner: the all-you can eat whole roasted pig out. For $19, and only on Saturdays and Sundays during brunch, it's a steal of a deal. You get pineapple roasted shoulder and pork belly carnitas tacos served with your choice of one of five sauces. There's a little buffet stand where a member of their staff will make the tacos for you. I had about 10 of them and they hit the spot! Nice variety of sauces so I tried all of them except for one (two spicy for my blood) and you can request flour tortillas if you prefer that over the corn tortillas they have. Between the two proteins, I thought the pork shoulder was more flavorful and tender. It's no surprise that The Mission Old Town has some of the most Yelp reviews in town. It's a popular restaurant. Just make sure to make a reservation or stop by outside of peak hours or there's a good chance you'll have a wait.
