Great little family owned taco spot. Where they stand out is the quality of their meat. Not fatty or so over cooked you wonder how bad the meat was to have to burn it like some places. Quesa burria...perfect size. Great consume. If you don't know or haven't tried one start here. Delicious. The tortas are 2 meals in themselves. Bread is great. Great layers. Very generous on meat. We dropped in for takeout lunch on a work day, my son and I, and both enjoyed our experience and meal. The restaurant is small and feels clean and fresh inside. We ordered the Quesabirria and asked for a recommendation for someone who doesn't eat beef, and ended up going with their suggestion, the Del Jefe Torta. Both were delicious! I love that the cheese on the torta was not overly cheesy, it was just right for me. The torta had zero spice until I slathered the hot sauce on it, and I appreciate that ability to customize it. The pineapple and avocado on the torta were perfect. We will be back to try tacos, breakfast, and more. They were so nice. I am glad this place is here! read more

This two items are the sole reason why I drive 35 minutes all the way from Scottsdale! It's so hard to find good authentic Mexican food in the valley, but this small "hole in the wall" establishment definitely makes my drive and wait so worth it! I consider myself a huge fan of quesabirrias and this ones def take the win, the pastor is the most HOMEMADE taste you could ever find out there; you can totally notice the Mexico City style with the pinapple and the salsas being well balanced and so rich in flavor!! The food here has been absolutely amazing I recommend getting the loaded fries with half carne asada and half Al pastor. The burrito bowl is also amazing the cilantro rice is an amazing touch. The tacos are a very big hit as well. The service is amazing the front desk cashier is very nice and helped give us recommendations as it was our first time here. It's a nice restaurant and definitely somewhere I would recommend checking out. read more

Had the Del Jefe torta and a carne asada burrito. Both were delicious. The torta did not hold up that well as a to-go item because the bun fell apart. Ate half and put the other half in the fridge. About an hour later it was great! Cold food is awesome and the sandwich then held together. The burrito is quite big and had great flavor. Both salsas were tasty. Red a bit spicy and green just tasted great. Lady working there was nice. Restaurant looked clean and cook put on new gloves to make my food. I would come back for sure. read more

Tried this new spot in the area and it did not disappoint! We ordered a mix of burritos and tacos. The asada burrito was really solid--good portion, tender meat, and the salsa was so good. Not overly spicy, but had just the right kick. I was a little surprised it had white rice instead of Mexican rice, but it still worked and didn't take away from the flavor. We also got asada, chicken, and pastor tacos. All were good, but the pastor was the standout--juicy, flavorful, and absolutely . Bonus points for the staff being super friendly and welcoming. Excellent place to eat tortas if you're looking for the Mexico City style. I talked to the chef and he mentioned they only use high quality beef for the asada. I had the asada torta the first day I went and the meat was very tender. Eating there reminded me of my childhood when we would go to eat Tortas de asada. Service was fast and the team was very friendly. The restaurant is small but welcoming to everyone. I will definitely be back. I actually went back the next day with my dad and tried the Al pastor. This has been many different taco spots. However I've yet to write a review on any of them..... until NOW!! The food is amazing I had the el Mexicano burrito al pastor. 10/10 and the quesadilla al pastor. Both were so good. I keep going back for more. People are friendly it's a small cozy spot. Nice place to grab some delicious Mexican food to go. My gym is right next door so it's super convenient. Definitely don't pass this one up. read more

Oh dam!!! The surf and turf burrito was heavenly!! Super fire! You can taste everything and nothing was over cooked, and everything was well seasoned as it should be they cook with love! The flavors pop out right when you bite it and they give you the entire sauce bottle green and red to eat with like come on now.... Now that's service!! Service was fast and excellent. The horchata is delicious I wish I had ordered more. All of the tacos were delicious. The salsa was good too. I would give five stars if the meat on the tacos had more of a charred or asada flavor from the grill. That is what I look for in carne asada tacos and I also prefer tripita tacos to be more crispy. I always order my items "con todo" with onion, cilantro, guacamole/crema, and salsa. This trip I ordered 3 especiales: caramelo (steak), gringa (pork), and gabacho (chicken). Unfortunately, they ran out of chicken, so I subbed for an extra gringa, my favorite of the 3. I also got an order of chips and queso, but be careful because the queso is addicting! They also have a help yourself salsa bar, but the salsas tend to be watery and not very flavorful. The orange one is my favorite, adds a good kick to the food. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. We were seated at the bar and ordered a four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu - though I think we probabaly could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). Wowowowowo. I'm absolutely amazing by how amazing it was! We came literally an hour before closing( first time ever trying). First of, the atmosphere was amazing. Theyre so nice respectful they weren't even mad that we were there so late. Secondly, the owner was so sweet and let us take our time with ordering. Thirdly, food was absolutely DELICIOUS. everything was fresh and well prepared. Down to the cucumbers we ordered which were free by the way. It's been very hard trying to find an actual good Mexican store but if you want authentic Mexican food. This is the place for you. Not even joking. Literally made my night. Without hesitation, they accommodated me with a positive attitude and ensured every detail was taken care of. The result was exceptional. Every student in my morning class thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast burritos, and the quality spoke for itself.
