Walked over to the Grand Arts District and so glad we got to check out Malegria for a nice sweet treat! We got the new seasonal pumpkin biscoff latte which was delishhhhh and the Sandia agua Fresca which was so refreshing! The service window is cute and then you go around back to the outdoor patio seating! I want to get food next time, everything looked so good but I was too hot to eat. Service was very friendly!
Stopped here on a Monday around 11am. I placed an order at the window then chilled on the patio until they brought my drink out. It's so cute here! I got a birthday latte which was a caramel macchiato with banana foam and birthday sprinkles. It was DELICIOUS. It was around $6 for a 16oz, which is standard. I'd for sure come back, especially to enjoy the patio when it cools off.
Finally tried this place out and loved it! Located along Grand, plenty of street parking. You order at the window where they have the menu and specials. Greeted by a sweet lady who helped us decide between a few drinks. Once we ordered, we walked around to the back to find a place to sit. They have fans going in the back, so it's comfy. Drinks were brought out first and my 16oz iced cafe de olla oat milk latte with vanilla cold foam was absolutely delicious!! I drank the whole thing, it tasted so good. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was packed with so much flavor. We genuinely loved everything we ordered and can't wait to come back!
We tried the blueberry horchata matcha latte and the cortadillo latte. They were both very tasty! My favorite was the blueberry horchata, it was such a unique flavor. The service was pretty quick and very nice. There was a mix up with one of the drinks and they fixed it right away! They have a window where you order and a patio where you can sit and enjoy your drinks or food. We will definitely be back!
I'm a lover of Salvadorian food. We came to Malegria cafe looking forward to trying Salvidorian horchata. Unfortunately they were out. We had the Jamaica instead. The concept is cool, no indoor seating, shaded outdoor seating available. The DJ outdoors was a nice touch.
Omg, spent my early Saturday morning here. Jenny at the counter was so nice, my Ubub Latte (I probably spelt that wrong lol) was so good; it is a sweeter latte which is fine cause I usually don't get them super sweet. The Chorizo Tacos were fire! Fresh tortillas, I didn't even have to ask, I just knew. The chorizo wasn't too salty at all, it was the good chorizo. They were out of the chicken sausage when I went so hopefully when I go back they have it in stock to try. The outdoor patio was a vibe! It's summer in phx so of course it's hot but they had two nice really big fans, one of them rotated and a speaker, not too loud, playing some house music. My fav. 10/10 - Def coming back $30 total for my order Honesty time: Dusty tables/coffee spills on one of the tables. But that was it! Was there for like a half hour from ordering to finishing my food and leaving. including having wait time with three order ahead of mine. Seems like they're taking the long wait times/service reviews into consideration. But even if it's super busy it's worth the wait.
The shrimp pastelitos are everything you didn't know you needed. Golden and crispy masa pockets filled with warmth and perfectly balanced by a bright and creamy crema verde. Each bite feels handcrafted, like a love letter from the kitchen. The roasted breakfast potatoes are simple, soulful, and seasoned just right. They bring that home-style comfort that anchors your morning. Malegria isn't just brunch, it's a moment the kind you slow down for.
I honestly just come for the conchas and Café De Olla, but that is enough for me. The conchas specifically stand out as better than most in Phoenix in my opinion. They look a bit different as you can see in the photo. I do worry the lack of shade or good misters will be an issue as the summer continues to get warmer...
This is a low key boutique coffee shop. It's on a corner with no parking in front. You have to park on the side streets. You order at a walk up window. Come to find out the vibes are all in the back patio. There are a couple of food vendors as well. The Latin influence and authenticity shines above all. They have lots of pastries and yummy goodies I hope to try eventually. They do sell out as they are made fresh daily. The coffee I ordered was the cafe de olla iced, it was tasty had a hint of Mexican chocolate. I will order an extra shot of espresso next time. Service was courteous and efficient. 16oz coffee was $7.00. Thank you.
If you are in downtown Phoenix or heading to downtown Phoenix from Glendale, a new coffee and breakfast spot opened recently where Snapback Pizza was. There is ample seating in the back and they do offer plated or to go. The coffee selection is skewed towards flavored lattes, with a breakfast menu of latin inspired staples. The drip coffee is a large pour, but not one that I would go out of the way for. The hazelnut latte was good, though similar or better can be found at the many coffee shops and stands within a few steps along Grand. Both the chilaquiles and breakfast tacos were excellent, with grwat flavor and quality ingredients. The taco shells had a thickness/taste of a tamale breading, and the chips for the chilaquiles soaked up a perfectly balamced sauce. The avocado and chorizo were necessary additions, with additions being the key word, and my challenge when rating Malegria. The base cost of these items was about what I would expect at a more formal sit down, and to have these be additions for extra cost made me wonder what I would have received as a meal without...just egg in a tortilla and chips and sauce in a bowl? That said, definitely worth a stop as the breakfast options with additions were some of the better I have had in the area.
Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Quaint location with a small patio in Downtown PHX. Order food items and coffee at front window, patio has a food truck with pupusas . Ordered a Chilaquiles and a latte, also ordered a cheese pupusa. The chilaquiles took about 15 mins and when it arrived the chips were all completely soggy and the scrambled eggs were runny. The red sauce was nice, not too spicy. The pupusa was tasty. The latte did not arrive during my meal and I took it to go. Overall was disappointing dining experience.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon as I was looking for a new spot to checkout, the place wasn't busy at all. I walked up to the counter, asked for some reviews, and placed our order. The food came out within 10-15 mins, very flavorful and delicious. The patio was relaxing and they had a DJ playing music; definitely will return to try more of their menu.
Self described as Latin style sandwiches, small bites and drinks this is a family run business with Mexican, Salvadoran and Guatemalan influences. This is a great addition to Grand Ave. A fellow salvadorian told me they had Salvi Horchata Latte so I came running and I was not disappointed. They opened a week ago and they are still in their soft opening hours so I strongly encourage you to check their insta for updates as I know these past couple of days they were not able to open due to some equipment issues. You order at the counter that is in the corner but in the back they have a dog friendly patio with ample seating. There's no indoor seating which may be though in the summer but the place looks great and I will definitely be supporting it - you just have to plan to come in the early hours or take it to go. Service was friendly. I got the Salvi Horchata latte - it was a tad more sweet than I would prefer but as a fellow Salvadorian I am so excited that they have Salvi horchata as a it defers from the Mexican rice horchata that most people offer in PHX. I ate the MEXI sandwich and it was pretty flavorful, chorizo, eggs, avocado, what's not to love? I am definitely coming back soon.

What a delightful spot right in the heart of the Grand arts district. A heads up that there is no indoor seating, as you order at a window and then there's an outdoor seating area-- which is lovely, but definitely a little too hot in the summer. There was no wait on a weekday late morning, and my drink and muffin were prepared very quickly, and brought out to me in the patio area. The strawberry matcha latte definitely had fresh strawberry puree, and a Lot of it, which was so satisfying! They put a good amount matcha powder, and I feel that the ratio of ingredients was perfect. This might be slightly biased because I love banana and chocolate, but the banana chocolate chip muffin might have been one of the best muffins I've ever had in my life! They warmed it up for me so the chocolate was perfectly melty, and the banana flavor was just intense enough. I would come back for that alone. I definitely need to come back to try the food, and I hear the pupusas next door are divine! read more
Malegria has been on my list to check out and today I finally had time to try it out. I came by around 8am on a Sunday and it was pretty slow. Lots of street parking available. This place has a window to order at and then outdoor seating around back. Your order also comes up in the back. Jenny was at the window and took my order. They just started offering their Fall seasonal drinks, so I chose the pumpkin Biscoff iced latte. It was delicious! They also offer food options. read more

Small place on Grand Ave. Service is good. You order at a small window and then wait on the patio. Not much ambiance to speak of. Outside patio with some shade. Coffee menu has the usual suspects plus a pretty good list of specialties (permanent and seasonal). I got a horchata latte. The taste is quite good, but it is very sweet. Note: I didn't get food, but the food they brought out whilst I was waiting looked fantastic. Also, there is no indoor seating, just the outdoor patio. N*joy! read more
