Hubby and I went to Honduras in January and found an Salvadoren papusas stand. They were amazing. We were so excited when we found this place. They are exactly the same. My favorite is cheese and bean. My husband ordered empanadas as well. One potato and one beef. I like the potato best. Everything we had was perfect. The sauce, the fresh cheese everything. Everything is made to order. The service was also great! She answered all of our questions. It is a small place but it wasn't full. The restaurant was clean. What a fabulous dinner. The pupusas are excellent (we had steak, pork,and mushroom). My sister's shrimp salad was also wonderful. Portions were large enough that we each have lunch for tomorrow. Wow, Surprise is sleeping on this little restaurant! It's been on my list for awhile and I finally placed a lunch order online for pick up. Online ordering is really easy and I selected a time certain pick up. I was about 10 min early but I only had to wait a minute or two. This was our first time trying pupusas and definitely will not be the last! Hubs and I wanted something different and we decided on heading to Salvedoreno Restaurant. We walked in and there were 2 ladies cleaning and they helped us right away. We got a 3 pupusa combo which came with rice, beans, a spicy pickled slaw and a sauce to dip in. We got mixed pupuasas and a potato and cheese. Everything is cooked to order and the wait was about 15 minutes. The food was fresh and hot and seriously tasted soooo good!! Tasted like a cross between a flour and corn tortilla stuffed with goodies. They were big and so good. The slaw was spicy but paired great the each bite. The beans were a black bean purée and tasted amazing. The hubs even loved them and he's pretty picky with trying new foods that are foreign to him. So when I asked her to fix it in which I was going to have to add more to the order, fine when I asked her to redo what we had cause it was now cold he's refused. So I asked to refund my and just charge me again to have it redone she still refused so I just had it refunded all together and walked out. I will not be returning to this location!!!
