Really bad customer service, they all act weird and pretend to not see you so they aren't helpful. They move really slow, pretend you aren't there, then you have the cooks staring at you so when I asked for help everyone just stares, the cooks as much as they stare don't help when you're staring back waiting for help. I ordered the combo #2 Soft tacos with shrimp. This combo also has rice, beans and guacamole. I'm picky with my guacamole so I excluded it from my order. Overall the combo was ok. The beans and rice were delicious! The shrimp tacos were too bland in my opinion. They ARE very generous with their meat portions though. If you like bland food, these are for you. However, if you're like me and love a flavorful little kick to your food, skip the shrimp tacos. I added my own hot sauce to give it some flavor. The fish tacos were terrible! They were covered with a LOT of white sauce which tasted like 90 percent mayonnaise!! The fish was boring! No flavor at all! The beans on the tostado were very dry! Staff very friendly and welcoming. We tried one restaurant that treated us horribly for entering their premises ONE hour before closing at 9:00 PM. We stopped here one morning for a breakfast burrito. We ordered the chorizo and egg, plus potatoes. The burrito is huge! As mentioned in other reviews, I make my own chorizo so I am very picky. We were driving back to Cali and wanted to some breakfast burritos. We saw this closer to the freeway and wanted to check it out. I got the chorizo egg burrito and my husband got the hash brown burrito. Man these burritos were humongous! My chorizo egg burrito probably had like 6 eggs. It was really good, not too oily. In Surprise (NW Phoenix) for a hotel stayover, and decided to get a quick, easy takeout meal of Mexican food. Found a few great reviews on Yelp for Master Taco, so decided to give 'em a try, was totally worth it!! Tasty foods, good portion sizes, reasonably priced and fast prep/pickup in 10-15 minutes. I rated my experience a solid 4.0, with meal cost around $8-10pp. They're open for dine-in, pickup or delivery (via Door Dash). Super casual restaurant ambience, all staff wore face coverings. We ordered the Chile Verde and Carnitas dinners, plus a Cheese Quesadilla. Portions were plentiful to share, and dinner entrees served with fresh warm corn and flour tortillas, beans, rice and lettuce and tomato garnish. The Chile Verde had tender minced pork cooked in a flavorful, semi-spicy green chile sauce. Carnitas portion was in shredded chunks, slow-roasted, tasty and tender. The Quesadilla was generously filled with melted Chihuahua cheese and grilled in large flour tortilla. All food quality was excellent! Finally, want to mention their self-serve Salsa bar - they had 6-8 varieties of mild to very spicy homemade salsas you could add to your meal. I actually mixed a bit of red and green salsas to my flavor liking in a takeout container. I'd definitely come back and order again from MT, so enjoy!!! read more

Been a while since I had been back to Master Taco. They have breakfast all day and I wanted to try something different. Went for the breakfast-for-lunch route. The Breakfast Burrito was calling my name. It has eggs, beans, ham and cheese, and sour cream (which I skipped). The burrito is massive which I have previously mentioned. My only problem is that the burrito tasted very good but it falls apart mid-way through. Needs to be cut in half or folded tighter. Huge menu to try something different next time. read more

So this place was a mystery to me. I've been trying to try this spot for probably 5-6 months and everytime I try they were closed. Well I caught the white whale finally! Their menu is a pretty typical fast food style Mexican joint. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, combo plates you name it they had it. I ordered the AZ Surfing Burrito for myself, the two cheese enchilada combo for the wife, and 3 rolled tacos to try out. I was not let down! The AZ Surfing is essentially a carne asada burrito with shrimp. This thing was HUGE! The shrimp was flavorful and the asada was great! French fries were crispy there was cheese guacamole and some chipotle sauce inside. I love CA burritos and this was even better. The rolled tacos were good as well. Pretty average overall, but not in a bad way. A solid staple that I'd be happy with on any occasion. The enchilada plate was a lot of food. The sauce was thicker than we were used to, almost like a molé style. The cheese enchiladas were good and the rice and beans were on par. The only downside would be the salsa. There was not a spicy enough option! We got the "diablo" and to me it was just average spice. I'm a big heat guy though so I may be biased. We will be back here for sure! read more
