The service is always quick & the environment is so comforting! The Agua Fresca's are so refreshing & they have incredible horchata! The staff is so welcoming, friendly, and always make us feel at home. I absolutely recommend trying out master taco, you won't regret it! read more

I ordered a carne asada burrito, came out to greasy wasnt to impressed, last time coming here

I ordered the combo #2 Soft tacos with shrimp. This combo also has rice, beans and guacamole. I'm picky with my guacamole so I excluded it from my order. Overall the combo was ok. The beans and rice were delicious! The shrimp tacos were too bland in my opinion. They ARE very generous with their meat portions though. If you like bland food, these are for you. However, if you're like me and love a flavorful little kick to your food, skip the shrimp tacos. I added my own hot sauce to give it some flavor. But being Mexican food, i expect it to live up to its name. read more

Master Taco - Combo #2 Soft Tacos ( shrimp- no guacamole side) - Mexican Near Me - Surprise, Arizona

Really bad customer service, they all act weird and pretend to not see you so they aren't helpful. They move really slow, pretend you aren't there, then you have the cooks staring at you so when I asked for help everyone just stares, the cooks as much as they stare don't help when you're staring back waiting for help. Such a weird encourter. All need to customer service help. Even if you stare at least help. read more

Really like this place. Met the owner, Gerardo. Good guy. Keeps the place clean. Also the Menudo is pretty dang good I'll tell you what. And the guac tasted fresh. I wish I lived near here so I can eat it more often. read more

The fish tacos were terrible! They were covered with a LOT of white sauce which tasted like 90 percent mayonnaise!! The fish was boring! No flavor at all! The beans on the tostado were very dry! The restaurant was dirty! We found it difficult to find a clean table! The doors were filthy! I'm not sure what others see about this place but we definitely will not return!!!! Hopefully the health department will visit soon and force them to clean it up! read more

Had the Arizona Surf burrito, very tasty and plenty of meat. Good salsa bar and chips.

I ordered the chicken burrito off of Grubhub on their yelp page that supposed to have tomato, onion, guacamole, sour cream, pico. I paid 12$ for literally shredded chicken wrapped in tortilla..... there's nothing else in it.... 1 star bc the cashier lady was nice read more

Hi I am not one to ignore important things. Master Taco by Walgreens. Was changing the salsa containers. When the stuff lifted the salsa containers insects Flys and some bugs ran out all over. I freaked out and ran out. It was grouse and the lady locked us out read more

Welcoming, polite no frills counter service. The ground beef taco salad is the greatest. The shell is delicious too! I think it weighs a pound! So if you're light eaters, you may want to consider sharing one and order another thing ala carte. read more

Staff very friendly and welcoming. We tried one restaurant that treated us horribly for entering their premises ONE hour before closing at 9:00 PM. We then went to a second place that had all the chairs up at 8:15 before closing at 9:00PM. Thankfully, Master Taco honors their hours and we ended up having an excellent meal. We will return many times!!! By the way, we left with full tummy's at 9:00pM read more

The BEST chorizo burritos in Surprise. They come out hot and delicious every time! The dine-in area is always clean and organized.

Very disappointing. The salsa bar was okay but the mild salsa was weak. The meat wasn't seasoned and very bland.

We stopped here one morning for a breakfast burrito. We ordered the chorizo and egg, plus potatoes. The burrito is huge! As mentioned in other reviews, I make my own chorizo so I am very picky. Theirs had a nice spiciness to it however I found it on the greasy side. So much so that we soaked up a hand towel we had in the car. Still tasty and definitely worth a try. read more

Came to master taco since my regular taco shop was closed. I use to love this place well the one in Tempe! This location not so much. I had ordered a carne asada burrito with sour cream which didn't happen lol. It was just okay not the greatest! read more

We were driving back to Cali and wanted to some breakfast burritos. We saw this closer to the freeway and wanted to check it out. I got the chorizo egg burrito and my husband got the hash brown burrito. Man these burritos were humongous! My chorizo egg burrito probably had like 6 eggs. It was really good, not too oily. Eat it there. Their salsas were also very good too. Definitely stopping by here if we need breakfast off the freeway. read more

In Surprise (NW Phoenix) for a hotel stayover, and decided to get a quick, easy takeout meal of Mexican food. Found a few great reviews on Yelp for Master Taco, so decided to give 'em a try, was totally worth it!! Tasty foods, good portion sizes, reasonably priced and fast prep/pickup in 10-15 minutes. I rated my experience a solid 4.0, with meal cost around $8-10pp. They're open for dine-in, pickup or delivery (via Door Dash). Super casual restaurant ambience, all staff wore face coverings. We ordered the Chile Verde and Carnitas dinners, plus a Cheese Quesadilla. Portions were plentiful to share, and dinner entrees served with fresh warm corn and flour tortillas, beans, rice and lettuce and tomato garnish. The Chile Verde had tender minced pork cooked in a flavorful, semi-spicy green chile sauce. Carnitas portion was in shredded chunks, slow-roasted, tasty and tender. The Quesadilla was generously filled with melted Chihuahua cheese and grilled in large flour tortilla. All food quality was excellent! Finally, want to mention their self-serve Salsa bar - they had 6-8 varieties of mild to very spicy homemade salsas you could add to your meal. I actually mixed a bit of red and green salsas to my flavor liking in a takeout container. I'd definitely come back and order again from MT, so enjoy!!! read more

Love this place the staff and especially Iris are amazing we are regulars at this location best Mexican restaurant hands down food is always delicious and priced right this is definitely a place to check out if you haven't already you won't be disappointed read more

This location has really gone down hill. The people here have no manners nor respect. The cost of the food here has gone up drastically with the value of the quality of the food going down. I ran into some of the old staff that now works at the tempe location, and i let her know the differences weve noticed here in surprise. Sadly, wont be coming here anymore. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Master Taco. Service is good, food comes out pretty fast and always a steady flow of customers. Today was so exception. They have some newer specials and I chose the two chicken steer tacos, rice, beans and a drink. Everything was delicious and I probably could've eaten 10 more tacos ha ha ha. I refrained don't worry. Check them out if you are hungry. read more

Lights went out. Food was alright. Didn't like the decor or that it was in a shopping center.

Awesome crispy beef tacos and refried beans. Nothing fancy just great prices and delicious food -- A+!

Been a while since I had been back to Master Taco. They have breakfast all day and I wanted to try something different. Went for the breakfast-for-lunch route. The Breakfast Burrito was calling my name. It has eggs, beans, ham and cheese, and sour cream (which I skipped). The burrito is massive which I have previously mentioned. My only problem is that the burrito tasted very good but it falls apart mid-way through. Needs to be cut in half or folded tighter. Huge menu to try something different next time. read more

I don't know why they fuck up the order every time but they do. I ask for a simple crane asada burrito with no pico or quac and every time they put it in the burrito. You can tell they don't care and they so to want to be there. Bad experience all around. read more

We are fans. Always a good meal. Sadly, the prices are going way up. Last Saturday night we went and this was our order. 1 carne asada burrito 1 cheese quesadilla 1 order 3 rolled tacos (beef) with guacamole and cheese 4 medium drinks. Total was $39.40. I understand the rising costs for small independent businesses; however, this is a big factor in future choices. read more
