We moved to AZ 13 years ago and it took us 12 years to find a place that serves good Mexican food and friendly staff especially Iris. My husband and I come here almost once a week. read more

So this place was a mystery to me. I've been trying to try this spot for probably 5-6 months and everytime I try they were closed. Well I caught the white whale finally! Their menu is a pretty typical fast food style Mexican joint. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, combo plates you name it they had it. I ordered the AZ Surfing Burrito for myself, the two cheese enchilada combo for the wife, and 3 rolled tacos to try out. I was not let down! The AZ Surfing is essentially a carne asada burrito with shrimp. This thing was HUGE! The shrimp was flavorful and the asada was great! French fries were crispy there was cheese guacamole and some chipotle sauce inside. I love CA burritos and this was even better. The rolled tacos were good as well. Pretty average overall, but not in a bad way. A solid staple that I'd be happy with on any occasion. The enchilada plate was a lot of food. The sauce was thicker than we were used to, almost like a molé style. The cheese enchiladas were good and the rice and beans were on par. The only downside would be the salsa. There was not a spicy enough option! We got the "diablo" and to me it was just average spice. I'm a big heat guy though so I may be biased. We will be back here for sure! read more

Wow Excellent Mexican food Fully loaded plates of food Great quality and quantities Tacos and tamales were excellent read more

Seems like a crowded place even though it's in the back of some random shopping center. The chicken turned out to be white meat after the cook finally answered my inquiry. With that in mind decided to try a bowl with meat, cheese, rice etc. The cook ignored my no beans request and the beans were mixed with the rice so that was a mess. They also forgot to give me sour cream. The bowl could have been better and if the staff followed instructions, they might have reeled me back in, but this is another one and done Mexican joint. read more

I'm currently pregnant and was craving tacos so I went to Master Taco since I've eaten there a couple times before and the food was decent. Unfortunately, this time I found some added protein in the form of an insect in one of the tacos. I already ate one before I noticed but couldn't stomach anymore after seeing it. I'm really bummed because like I said, food here was decent and the service was always pretty good. Definitely won't be back after this though. read more

This is by far the best place for breakfast burritos in the Surprise/El Mirage area. Do yourself a favor and skip all the burto type places. Added bonus is the self serve salsa bar read more

The best breakfast burritos and the best salsa bar. Plus, a cold Mexican Coke in a bottle, perfect. Open long hours 7 days a week.

The food is great! The service is always friendly. I just moved into the neighborhood 3 weeks ago and we've already ordered from them once each week. We've never actually ate here but every time we come in to pick up the food the restaurant seems like a relaxing place to eat. read more

I have been going to master taco since the first opened. I have never had a bad experience. I have just about everything on the entire menu. All is excellent. I prefer to go to master taco over all "sit down-full service" restaurants. read more

First time in, found them on Yelp. Food was amazing. Had Combo #3, 2 hard tacos and beans/rice. Tacos were big, very tasty fried shells. The frijoles were very good, as good as any you'll find in Tucson. Employees very friendly, great service. Definitely will be back! read more

I enjoy their food even though it is fast food. Food is tasty. Employees are nice and helpful.

Can be awesome but sometimes it's just lacking. Still my go to for burritos. Master Burro is seriously massive and the red salsa is actually very good. All in all I very much recommend giving it a try read more

Place was clean, service was ok and the meat had no seasoning. Chicken and shrimp had no flavor, not even salt and pepper. We won't be going back. read more

This place is absolutely fantastic. A guy I work with had boasting about it a few times so I thought I'd give it a try and I was not disappointing. It was a very busy day. I waited a little bit for my food but that's usually a good sign, they did get my order wrong, but we're very quick to cook up and get me what I ordered. They were very nice, the customer service was on point and I'll definitely be back. read more

Saw the great Yelp reviews and was nearby, so I stopped in atMaster Taco today for lunch. I ordered a #12, Carne Asada burro and 3 rolled tacos. Lunch special added a drink. The food came out hot and delicious. The salsa bar has a great variety of excellent Sauces. I'm very content right now, couldn't eat another bite! I happily recommend Master Taco, and hope to come try their breakfast burritos soon! By the way, about half the customers are Spanish speaking, most are workmen on their lunch break. They all look very satisfied as well, a great indicator of good Mexican food. read more

I had originally ordered through the yelp app as I was coming into work in Sun City West. The email said it will be about 10-30min for pick up. I had arrived to Master Taco 20mins after that, and do note that I had place my order at 7:15am and this location opens at 7am. I told the lady at the front who had no other customer, that I'm here to pick up my order and she said that it's not ready. I waited another good 10min while they barely started making it and I was now late for work. I'm giving this a 3 star just because the food was great but the service was horrendous. read more

Really good gringo style Mexican food! I tried the rolled chicken tacos. Basically, taquitos with cheese and sauce. Their burritos and tacos look awesome. Enchiladas were very good too! Service is nothing special! This is a quick service joint! read more

I have come here monthly for about a year. I always get good service a good food. Last couple of times the food hasn't been the same. I order the fish taco abd crispy chicken taco often. Seems they changed the hard taco shell. It's has zero flavor. The chicken is good but I'm guessing a recipe change. The chicken was really awesome before the change. Please bring back the crispy shell abd original chicken. Fish taco is very good as always. read more

Ordered the Arizona Surfing highly recommend!!!! It was HUGE, like you need a third hand to handle this. I truly was not expecting it to be that delicious. The seating area was very generic and packed. They could probably expand their space since it is always busy. Or maybe outside seating as well? During the dinner rush they had one cashier who was also expoing the food so the line would suffer or people's food would be sitting in the window getting cold. She was great at multitasking keeping the tables clean as people left, etc. Will be a regular here for sure. read more

Ordered food from here twice and it tasted great, however the third time was old stale steak and we never ordered from their again!! You gotta be consistent with your quality or we will never return. The cashier's were always nice And helpful with telling me I had to pick out my own sauces and other condiments, as I'm new to Arizona and didn't know this. read more

Very good food from a strip mall in Sun City West. The pollo burrito with pico de gallo was delicious and everything else was fresh and smelled delicious. If you read my reviews, you'll see that 3 stars is a solid recommendation. I save 5 stars for mind blowing food and incredible atmosphere. 4 stars go to amazing food w meh atmosphere (or visa versa). This place is darn good food in a very generic place. Go for the food. You won't be disappointed read more

I will start with the negative, service was extremely slow, got orders mixed up between a few customers and took too long for a take-out order. For food got carne asada soft tacos and enchiladas; the cheese enchiladas were awful (Master Taco change your enchilada sauce recipe), carne asada soft tacos were outstanding had great flavor with pico, guacamole on a soft corn shell (they were big). Not sure if I will return. read more

Too bad the food is good but the customer service is awful. There was a female and male at the front counter/cash register standing with their backs to us on their phones. We waited a few minutes and they did not welcome or acknowledge us. We decided to leave since they did not want to help us, as we walk out the girl tells us to have a good night. And proceeds to be on her phone. read more
