11.99 for a bean and cheese burrito??? $17 for one with meat??? And a sope sin guacamole? My first and last time enjoying the most expensive bean and cheese burrito in Arizona. Beans were not good, no flavor and tasted old. Meat was tough. Tortilla was homemade which is the only positive. Owner said "everything is expensive" but has crusty broken seats in the patio area for the customers to eat? I'll stick to my 5.95 bean and cheese from Someburros :) read more

The food served is prepared with love and the made to I order food reflects this. Its has a very small dining area so many times I have picked up orders ,"to go " No problem, as the food is packaged with love and is very fresh. It is the best kept secret in Phoenix-El Mirage area to eat home-cooked meals! read more

Food was very good. Atmosphere was very down to earth. Service was excellent. I had white menudo which was great and I have back for more.

I always wanted to try this place since it's not too far from home. This was my first time here. I waited 30 mins to get my food. I also ordered my eggs sunny side but as you can see in the picture they are overly cooked. I added chicken to the chilaquiles assuming it would be shredded chicken which I should've asked. Overall the food had no flavor and dry. I will not come back to this place. read more

Las Comadres - Green chilaquiles with chicken. - Mexican Near Me - El Mirage, Arizona

Well it needs a good cleaning and update to the building .. I was referred by a facebook influencer who said the green chili was FIRE... it was not ! It was sooooooo salty! I thought it was just me so without a word I had my husband try it . He said the same and not a lot of flavor just heat . read more

Buenissimo!!! Buenissimo!! Best menudo hands down. If i could give 10 stars I would. Me gusta las tacos tambien!

We've passed by Las Comadres a ton when we lived in El Mirage and decided to give them a try. It's a small restaurant with outdoor and limited indoor seating. You walk up and order at the window. We have been 2x and tried a sausage breakfast burrito and green chilaquiles. The breakfast burrito was so good! Served with egg, sausage, cheese, rice and beans. In the container we were also served a roasted jalapeño and onions. Delicious!! The chilaquiles had good flavor but didn't care for the soggy tortilla when we got home. Overall, a nice spot to get some quick Mexican food that tastes like it's right out of nanas kitchen! We will be back again! read more

Las Comadres - Best menudo I've had in a long time! - Mexican Near Me - El Mirage, Arizona

I love trying new places, especially Mexican food. Food was ok, bland, nothing spectacular by any means. Rice was ordinary and not especially flavorful, beans were just eh... carnitas did not taste fresh. Corn tortillas were fresh and came out nice. We didn't wait an overly amount of time for the food but finally had to ask for a check to go after waiting 15 minutes or so for the bill. Won't be back. read more

This place is definitely a hole in the wall and at first glance you want to run! Do! This place is disgusting Food is cooked plain and you dress it up to your liking. There is a condiment bar that has everything you need to make the perfect taco. The girls working at the window are rude and argumentative. They charged us for the avocado salsa (as guacamole) found free in the taco bar. Be careful your food comes full of hair! read more

Very very good food next to my moms and Grandmas cooking thank you there's no other place like this one in Arizona ...

Really fresh food, expect to wait a while if your ordering food to go. We went and ordered a ton of food, we had there bean burrito, carna asada burrito among other things. The tortillas are homemade, beans homemade and the menudo was very tasty. I recommend trying this small restaurant read more

Gracias ! read more

Best Mexican food on the westside. I always order the menudo or the sopas and both are mouthwatering good! Always friendly and fast service. The horchata is homemade also I can't say enough about this place. read more

The only reason I gave it a 4/5 stars is because it was a take out order and it was almost noon. You pull up to the window to order and get your own condiments in side, mind you that this is a small place with I believe six tables to dine in so it has that home cooked feel. I had both their menudo white and red with pata ( cow foot ). If you like your menudo with pata, you need to show up early on the weekends cause it sells out. Both menudos were good and also to my surprise, they weren't greasy at all !!! Btw their tacos and menudo come with handmade tortillas... my new to go spot on the weekends. Tacos were good as well .. I definitely recommend this place. read more

The food here is beyond authentic, very tasty, the place is small but very delicious! Definitely worth the wait the service is good even though their usually busy! read more

Las Comadres - No alcancé a tomar foto, lo acabé muy pronto porque esta bien rico! - Mexican Near Me - El Mirage, Arizona

Great little Mexican place. It is really hidden and you have to go to the edge of El Mirage to find it. This location used to be a Tasty Freeze I remember coming here in Junior High School. They really cleaned up and livened up the place, it is colorful and the staff is friendly. The food is good and they have a big menu. I am excited to try all the different items on their menu! They have a LOT of competition so I hope they stay a while. read more

Best Mexican food on the westside. I always order the menudo or the sopas and both are mouthwatering good! Always friendly and fast service.

Food is amazing always comes out in a timely fashion. Never had my order messed up one of my favorite go to places!

Found this hidden gem in el mirage. I would definitely recommend anyone to go here ! Tacos were good.

Fantastic food: It is a little hole in the wall place--slighty off the beaten path. I stumbled open here because teo other places I was going to were closed. I'm glad I did. The Asada tacos rate as some of the best I ever had. The beans, rice, and flautas are also fantastic. read more

Tasty good Mexican food, homemade tortillas doesn't get better than that. Would come again, if you care about good food I'd give it a try

Love this place. I highly recommend the pozole. It's hard for me to like anyone else's pozole but my moms. This place is second best to hers. Also, try las tortas de carne asada. read more

I got charged almost $5 extra for pico de gallo on my burrito, there was such a small amount I thought they had forgotten to add it. When I showed them they unwrapped it and found some at the very bottom, but it was a teaspoon worth, it's very unfair I got charged extra for that amount. They remade it but they made it way smaller than the usual. For you guys to charge me extra for a spoonful of salsa and then remake my burrito obviously smaller than what I paid for is just unfair to your customers. I love this place the food is great but i am really upset that you made my order smaller possibly on purpose because of the inconvenience. read more

Don't miss it. Excellent workers, great authentic Mexican food with fine pricing. Dine in and restrooms are immaculate. read more

What a great hidden treasure. My sister has been dying for me to try this spot so I did and was not disappointed. Had 2 carne asada tacos and 2 pastor tacos my husband had the large birria bowl. Everything has so much flavor, you do need to add salt to anything but maybe the chips they give you. The salsa bar is great, good variety of hot and mild salsas. I will be coming back to try their pozole and other soups mmmm. I would definitely have everyone try this. They were so good they are catering a party for us. These ladies know how to cook and they serve you well. read more

Food is good but they take a long time to make your order over 30 minutes for a fast food place that's a lot . Anyways food is alright !

Best food around!! Quality ingredients and well made! I love the sopes. The employees are friendly. But really this food is very good.

This is without a doubt, one of the BEST little hole in the wall Mexican food experiences we've run into. DO NOT miss an opportunity to enjoy their food !!! read more

My son, his wife and I have a game we play to find the best Mexican food. Every couple weeks one of us picks a new restaurant for us to eat at. This week after reading Yelp reviews we decided on this place. Driving up we had our doubts as it looks a little shabby with tables out front and an order window and menu on the wall. We decided to sit inside which is tiny having maybe 6 tables, it was very clean and felt like we were sitting in the kitchen. Our server was a really nice young guy who answered our questions about the menu as well as give us his recommendations which he said was pretty much everything being good. My son ordered a carne asada burrito which was one of the best he said he's ever had, my daughter in law ordered one beef and one chicken taco being Taco Tuesday they were only a dollar 49 each which she loved and truly enjoyed the fresh tortilla lime onions and cilantro on the side. I decided on the chicken enchiladas and a taco Tuesday beef taco which was all very well done by the cook. The service was great, the food was excellent and the hole in the wall ambiance grew on me the longer we sat next to the kitchen tasting their homemade food. Sadly the mission and game my son and I play to seek new Mexican restaurants in the Valley might be severely damaged as we want to come back here for more great food. Do yourself a favor and try this place, you will thank me. read more

I came here from Las Vegas on a working trip and by far this is one of the best Mexican restaurant to eat at i got a carnita burrito and i couldn't believe how big it was this definitely my favorite place to get a burrito. I've been driving past this place for ever, it seems. You can see driving on Grand are. The is situated in a peculiar location not accessible from Grand are. The other day I was looking for some items for my pet and it just happened to be up the road. So I gave it a try. At first glance the place looks a little run down, literally a hole in wall. I decided to give it a shot because there was actually a pretty good crowd waiting and ordering food. I finally placed my order. I got the carne asada ( grille steak ) burrito and a al pastor ( marinated pork ) I was amazed by the size and quantity of the food. They both had the right meat to rice and beans ratio. They were exceptionally delicious. They give a couple of salsas, hot, mild and a guacamole type salsa. Was totally surprised I would definitely recommend this place. I can honestly say that they have the best carne asada burrito in El Mirage and Surprise AZ. Being from California it's very difficult to find that perfect carne asada burrito. This place makes them like back home. The ladies behind the counter are very friendly and courteous and wonderful cooks. Good job ladies. Must visit this place, you won't regret it. read more
