I've always wondered if this place was good. Finally gave it a chance and it was good. I ordered carne quesadilla and I was pretty impressed with the quality of cheese and meat. Way better then any other restaurants that serve basic quesadilla. The only thing I'm disappointed in was the salsas because they are watery and it was hard to eat because I wanted to pile it on on my quesadilla. So I dipped it and it was like digging for gold.... I kept on digging thinking maybe I'll find something or get something lol false hopes and dreams with the salsa other then that very good quality on the cheese and carne asada. This place is clean well organized, I was welcomed when I came in and everything was delicious. I got the Salvadoran breakfast and the eggs were perfect, the beans were perfect, the plantains were perfectly cooked and weren't too hard so you could tell they used ripe ones. Highly disappointed! I love pupusas and tried many different places, but this place is not worth it. The pupusas where paper thin, the Yuka was reheated/refried hard as a rock. The plátano was burnet, ask for a new one. I had the combo of pupusa, tamal, yuka, plantando and crema. $12.99 asked to substitute the tamal for another pupusa, they charged me without telling extra. The side of rice was cold, not even microwave warm. Needless to say.....I will NOT be returning. DO NOT GO HERE. Go to El Salvador on 75th and Indian School, trust me worth your drive. read more

The pupusas were excellent! We got the mixed ones with chicharon and beans. They were very flavorful and fresh! The curtido and sauce was also great. The platanos fritos con lechera were some some of the best I've ever had, it came with 4 slices and was tempted to order more because they were so good. The service was good, very nice people working there and the space looked very clean, small but clean! First time here I had the carne asada with eggs. Small place with a nice family feel. Really neat interior clean and bright. Mary's is totally off the main streets tucked back in a older neighborhood. It's a little house that's been transformed into a restaurant. I am definitely coming back it has to be the best steak & eggs I've ever had. It came with rice and beans. The yellow rice with a slight sweet taste was perfect. I love this place. read more

I came on my lunch hour and I was discriminated by another latina she assumed I did not speak Spanish and refused to speak to me to pointed for me to talk to another worker. The other worker spoke to me very well in both languages. I ordered my food which it was in the pass my favorite place. Anyways the other lady to to all men well received them well. But when explained I had to leave after discovering my order was placed lady because zi did not give a tip. The receipt was placed along with my order. I had to get back to work timely. I asked if they had a substitute they said no. I asked for a refund but they had to call someone. I had to leave without a refund and crying because I discriminated. Himilsted. The young lady who did speak to me was nice young. I had no idea the had many called in orders before my order had I been told I would have been satisfied with a drink and bread. I want my money refunded. I miss the good people read more

Stop by and had chicken and onions side rice and salad and beans i very disappointed my chicken was cooked so hard you couldn't take it apart or even to it it was so dry in and out then they tried to cover it up with some type of tomato sauce gravy deal with the onions on top but that did not work the rice taste like plastic mixed with a little chemical taste very disappointed I would never go there again and that was my first time I spent $36 for two meals that did not look like full meals I would never go there again read more

Very disappointed! I ordered a sandwich and it was all bread very little chicken and lots of mayo. Wishing I would have taken a picture. I don't eat bread so I left very hungry. They serve no veggies at this place. My son and his friend had a burrito they liked but the salsa was very watery. Nothing was outstanding especially the price! I gave this dive two chances for redemption. And the food is way over priced, paid $24 for a lunch special and a coffee. The refried beans where purreed in a blender. The rice was undercooked. The sandwich had way too much condiments, lot of bread and little lunch meat. The coffee was cheap instant coffee. Honestly folks I would have been better off going to the grocery store and purchasing the items for a club sandwich with a 2 litter soda. read more

Gorgeous food crafted with care. We always get a bean & cheese burrito because if the beans aren't great, the rest of the plate suffers. The beans are great. The recommended papusas were fresh and bright with a great combination of both dough and the salty pork, beans and cheese filling. We happened upon this little hole in the wall when out shopping for granite. It's a family owned and run business and the service was excellent. We ordered a few of the Salvadorian appetizers and they were excellent. We especially loved the pupusas. This is not fast food...one cook in the back and it took a while to get our food as there were a few groups ahead of us. Highly recommend. read more

I bought a breakfast burrito a long time ago from here and it was delicious. On another occasion I bought one and while waiting for it to be prepared, I noticed it was a Salvadorian restaurant! I had been to El Salvador many years ago and had never had a pupusa since I left there. So I tried Mary's pupusas and tamales with the signature banana leaf wrappers. It was as good as the food in El Salvador that I ate many years ago. I recommend Mary's to anyone who wants an amazing new taste from what you have been used to.
