Horrible customer service , I called the store to check on carne asada and the lady provided the price after putting me on hold. I had to call back again because it was expensive, so I called to check on the price for caveza. The lady said hold on " then I heard her in the back saying, " this lady will not stop calling and now she wants to know the price for caveza, then she hung up. " I waited a couple minutes then called again and asked for her name and told her it was rude to hang up, i been a customer for a long time and I drive 20 minutes to your store not only because the meat is good but also bcs of the service when you go into the store. The first thing she said was ." Why do you need to know my name ? " but if it's that important it's Sofia , and I can't be checking prices for you, you have to drive here and check them yourself. " then hung up on me again. Definitely will not be shopping here anymore . They have lost a customer and hopefully this lady changes her attitude because their meat is good but the customer service was disgusting. Not worth the drive. read more

I came here for some authentic pan dulce but left slightly disappointed. Maybe it was the cold weather, but most of assorted bread I bought wasn't soft, as freshly-baked bread should be. It also averaged to more than a dollar per piece, which seemed a little steep compared to other panaderías. However, I noticed that they make and sell tamales de elote (sweet corn tamales) every day! I'm excited to try them on my next visit. Despite being a little disappointed with my pan dulce, I'll be coming back because this little place reminds me of home. read more

I went around lunch time and it was super busy. Lots of people buying from the food counter and baked items section. This was my first time here and I wish I had the time to explore the store more but it was busy and honestly I didn't want to be in the way of other people on a mission to eat, lol. The butcher section had lots of selections as did the food counter area. I mean to go back and explore that some more. If you would like to breach the cultural divide and explore your first "carnicería" this may be a good candidate. Focus on trying out the things you know and maybe take a risk on trying out one new item. The prices are very reasonable. For you non-Spanish speakers everyone spoke English so you'll be able to get by. I'm looking forward to going back and trying out their food counter offerings! read more

The employee Marie, was professional and amazing. She really made a personal connection with me by showing appreciation for being a fan of this place that has been my parents and now my PAN DULCE heaven! I drive from GILBERT to Phoenix for the pan dulce, its always soft and delicious every time. I love how they have trays and Utensils for your pan of choice it makes the place feel safe, and clean. They even provided me a mask and I felt that shows they care for their business and customers. They are known for their "Bolillos". Every time, I come it seems like to me I'm "LUCKY" because they always come out the oven WARM AND FRESH. Of course, they say 10-15 but seems like 5minutes to me. If you do not speak Spanish, you may want to brush up before you go. This place is authentico, y tiene comida muy rica. I was outside using the water filling windmill machine when I smelled the irresistible smells of a bakery-- I had to check it out. I floated inside and ordered the "especial" which was rice and beans with potatoes fried inside rolled tortillas, topped with avacado, tomato, mexican white cheese (queso fresco), and sour cream. They have a salsa bar with 2 green salsas and one red, and plenty of diced onions and cilantro to round it all out. It was a fantastic breakfast at about noon on a Sunday. Aside from the grill inside, the place is mostly a Mexican bakery. All of the baked goods are on racks in the middle of the store, and you load up a tray of what you want, and they then bag it for you at the register. I witnessed many people loading up on bolillos (the bread used for tortas), and a variety of cakes. It did not occur to me to buy tortillas for the house, but I will be back to give them a special review. Since it was a Sunday, there were people in line in their church clothes, and I got the impression that it was a weekly ritual for people to come in after church for lunch or to stock up on breads for the week ahead. Well the truth is that last time I ache I saw roaches and I believe this place has ok good food but definitely overpriced. You will see.

Ordered 4 tacos 2 tamales 2 chorizo 2 pastor and 2 green tamales Pastor was really funky tasting kinda gross tbh 3/10 on those not a fan. Chorizo 9/10 super flavorful and delicious! Highly reccomend :p They only gave me one tamale too lazy to go back and complain fillings almost nonexistent honestly preferred the sauce more than the meat not sure if old or what. I do like going to this place for bread usually okay prices but bread can be stale at times overall good bread. Tip: stick to the bread avoid the food. read more

Great bakery. Once we discovered this place we came here at least weekly some times more; for the delicious mexican pasteries ans sweet bakery items. Freshly made daily and twice daily. Never too sweet. Just the correct amount of sweet. So so yummy. Their are so many items i couldnt list them all. But do yourself and your sweet tooth a favour head on over here and pick up a few delicious mexican sweets. Sit back and enjoy with a coffee or tea. ( theirs a Star Bucks just across the street) . And you'll be in heaven. If your hungry they have that taken care of too. Menu is above the deli counter. Oh because they also sell meat, cheese, some veggies and , house made salsas. The food is good. Tortillas fresh made by hand to order. I used to order the sopes and they were very good. Freshly made rite in front of you. I miss this place. So they have the typical Mexican breads and fresh corn tortillas. Then, they have the grill, which serves all sorts of Mexican foods including our favorites: Pozole (red/white), tamales (red/green/sweet corn), tostadas, taquitos, tacos, burritos. They also have the freshMexican drinks and additional desserts and Mexican candies. Plus, a little side cooler with regular american drinks and some basic Mexican necessities like avocados, cilantro, onions and Mexican canned food. Recently, probably in the last year, they've added a carniceria-meat counter. Where they also have included cheese. Decent prices. Most of the workers are Spanish speaking, so yes, non-Spanish speakers may have problems ordering "special items" like with our without this or that type of foods...But if you just order what's on the menu, or put your grocery items or baked items in your little carrier and check out, all will be fine. There's a lot of in and out traffic, but they have a few chairs/tables for some in-dining. Paid $6 for 2 tamales the size of taquitos and it was the worst quality, the meat and maíz were very dry. No verde was in it when I asked for it either. The staff were also not nice at all. I am fair skinned and was treated very different it seemed like then others. I speak Spanish and am a customer like everyone else but the staff made it awkward like they couldn't talk to me at all and one woman wouldn't serve me, she ran away and gave me a nasty look. Been to many great panaderías y Canarias in AZ, this is not one. 100% not coming back, don't recommend. read more

Well after having din din with the wifey I needed to get my sweet tooth craving under control....so I stopped here ti get some pan dulce. This is xalled Panaderia and Tortilleria Guerrero. Nice place great food....on my way out I was staring at the carnitas and the guy behind the counter asked if I wanted to try them.....and of course I was not going to say no lol.....the meat was tender and the flavor was out of this world. This panaderia on 32nd street can be intimidating to any non-spanish speaker since the staff and the majority of the customers of this panaderia do not speak english. I stumbled upon this panaderia one afternoon with my friend Dani, I was craving a donut or some kind of postre. The churro at Del Taco was not going to do it for me, and lo and behold I came upon this treasure of a panaderia. I was half expecting someone to at least understand me but sadly not. It was abuzz with people. The store is part bakery part cafeteria where you can buy menudo and other hot snacks, and sit at the tables to eat. As you walk in and after the tables there are shelves of desserts and pastries filled with cookies, donuts, and the like, so grab a tray and pick and choose! And they're all CHEAP. I think one time we got ourselves close to 20 different kinds of goodies and paid a whopping $7.50. It was awesome. You have to admit that if a business doesn't understand english, they understand the language of currency. But yea, this was the kind of place where if you had any questions, you were left to your own devices to distinguish and determine what baked goods they were and if such tasted good. I think we were amusing as the non-spanish speaking pair playing charades to the spanish speakers to understand us. Oh well, it's an experience and I will come back! read more
