We really enjoyed stopping here for lunch the other day. Flower Child is nestled in the Uptown Plaza and was quite busy when we arrived. You order first and take a seat -- your food will be brought to you. There are cute coloring sheets and crayons available when you walk in if you have children. Our food was delivered relatively quickly: the mother earth bowl with chicken, chicken enchiladas and the chicken with yakisoba. All dishes were well balanced, delicious and fresh. I really loved the different parts of the Mother Earth bowl -- everything balanced each other out well and was so tasty whichever way you mixed it up! I do wish the entrance wasn't so close to where you ordered -- because it's so busy, the line blocks the doors making it challenging to enter and exit. Besides this, no complaints here! Definitely try this place out if you haven't already.

Tofu with sweet corn quinoa and gluten free mac & cheese

I highly suggest you go to their official website and sign up for their free E Bites program. It's a fantastic deal that gives you $10 off any order that is $20 or more. I wanted some extra food for later so I ordered a yellowfin tuna poke, a tofu plate with gluten free mac & cheese and sweet quinoa corn, a chocolate almond brownie, and an ice tea. With the E bites discount, this cost me $33.49. Their entrees are customizable in that you pick a protein and pick two of their thirteen sides. Their tofu was so soft and delicious, the sweet corn was delectable and the mac and cheese was tasty. I think my least favorite part was the scallions. The chocolate brownie was decadently amazing and they have a great selection of teas to choose from. The service was patient and amiable. Overall, the dishes are so tasty and there's a lot of sides to try with each visit.

I ordered takeout from here for the first time but it won't be the last time! The turkey avocado wrap was delicious. Just the right amount of all ingredients. I didn't feel as if I needed to add additional avocado. I also enjoyed the side greens that came with it. The dressing was yummy. I'm looking forward to trying other items on their menu.

    Mother Earth Bowl with steak.

I had the Mother Earth Bowl with steak, and all I can say is--wow! Everything was incredibly flavorful, from the broccoli pesto to the roasted sweet potatoes with that delightful sauce. I'm usually not a big fan of arugula, but it worked so cohesively with the rest of the ingredients. My bowl came to $20 after tax, and because it was so nourishing and delicious, it felt well worth the price. I'll definitely be back tomorrow!

Great location. Great dining room & patio. Here for lunch, take out. I tried the yellow fin tuna poke. Born & raised in Hawaii, I know poke. Very little furikake, could have used more rice, more everything, as it did not look like a hefty amount in the picture advertised. But it was tasty. And Flower Child is always a happy place for me so I can't be too sad in trying something new here. Very busy but that's to be expected. I always find myself returning. And will.

It was a great find and the perfect spot to spend a few hours before my flight. The menu offers plenty of healthy options, featuring ancient grains, fresh greens, and a variety of protein choices. We ordered the Glow Bowl with extra chicken, the Mother Earth, and a kombucha--everything looked beautiful and tasted fantastic. I was especially impressed by the broccoli pesto and the red pepper miso vinaigrette in the Mother Earth. The vibe is super relaxed, with a young, friendly crowd and welcoming staff. Highly recommend!

I had a good first visit to Flower Child while shopping in Uptown Plaza on Saturday. I was greeted warmly when I first walked in, from the order counter, which is near the entrance. I noticed they have an outdoor to-go Dutch door set up, but they didn't have it open on Saturday. Once I ordered, I was given a number and told I could sit anywhere I would like for dine-in service. There are lots of tables and booths to choose from. I choose one of the booths along the window, and my food was brought to me. I ordered: - Rose Petal Lemonade - Chicken Enchiladas Both are very good and tasty. The enchiladas really filled me up and had fresh avocado and a smoky creamy sauce with some beans, but not too many. Everything was nice and fresh. The lemonade wasn't too sweet, but they had a water dispenser near the lemonade and iced tea if you want to dilute it. I almost got dessert because they looked very tempting near the order counter, but the server mentioned that they were all gluten-free. I think this is a great option normally but I can't have rice, so I avoided the muffins and pastries. Good to know if you are on a gluten-free or you are celiac-sensitive. When finished eating, my plate was taken by a server who was walking the floor monitoring dishes. There's a deep shaded patio near the front entrance. There are two gender- neutral restrooms for customers. I enjoyed my Saturday lunch out and about.

Always have a great experience here and we always enjoy our food! There's a specific employee that when he's on the register we love it because he's always so bubbly and kind. The place itself is pretty big and there's plenty of sitting options inside and outside. I love their bowls and it's definitely a healthier option.

I love flower child and all its locations, they're all pretty similar honestly which is good because that means there's quick good service at all of them! The food literally came out in under five minutes - it also wasn't that busy at 6:30 on a Thursday but still! Very clean.... Also super cold, had to wear a jacket in the Arizona July summer. I switched it up and went with the Mother Earth bowl switch out the ancient grains for brown rice to make it gluten free. It was tasty! I know this is a favorite of customers so I wanted to try it myself. I usually mix everything together when I have bowls but I wanted to keep these elements separate this time since there are so many flavors - I wanted to savor each element. I did mix the broccoli pesto with the rice and arugula which was tasty. The mushroom had great umami and Asian flavors which does go nicely with the diced cucumber salad. The sweet potato with the red pepper miso was chefs kiss and the avocado was a nice smooth finish. I didn't add protein because I wasn't as hungry but always a good touch to add protein. I usually get my favorite the forbidden rice bowl which slaps every time and it's still a favorite but I felt adventurous today.

    Shrimp Fra Diavolo
    Chris A.

Been coming to Flower Child for a while now, and just about every one of their dishes that I've tried has been delicious. However, the majority of this review is specifically aimed at their new dish: Shrimp Fra Diavolo. In my opinion, this is the best thing to come out in a while. As someone who likes to eat healthier, this dish is the one. The amount of flavor in this is incredible, especially for being a lower-calorie meal. Highly recommend checking this out, along with the chicken kabob and chicken yakisoba plates. Besides that, the service is always friendly, this location is always clean and inviting. I really enjoy myself each time I dine here.

Food was kinda bland this visit- and it was all cold....Bummer
    Jacque C.

We always usually enjoy Flower Child- great food with healthy ingredients. Today, unfortunately things weren't as they usually are. The food wasn't as tasty for some reason, just kinda bland. And, I consistently get the same thing- today it wasn't nearly as good and it was COLD. The whole meal felt barely warm- I did return the sweet potato fries due to being so cold. Perhaps there was an issue with their warming tray or heat lamps or something. Even, my hubby was commenting on everything being cold. Everyone has an Off Day- I just hope it isn't a trend. Today they lost their Consistency Card with us....Damn that sucks.

All broccoli, no potatoes. Basically a broccoli bowl
    Philicia P.

DON'T expect them to fix your order if it's wrong. I Placed an order online ; I went back in after work to have them fix the 2 sides they misunderstood and gave me. Instead of one side each of their smashed potatoes they gave me alll broccoli. So basically paid for a pricey bowl of nothing. Lol. I asked them to just replace the side and even though the sweet cashier wanted to, her manager told her no unless I'd like to pay for it. NEVER again will I step foot here. NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. There are better places to spend pricey lunches at. Windsor for example never fails! And food is better.

    Chicken Enchiladas w Tofu
    Aram K.

I found flower child on Yelp and the food looked healthy, I checked and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had nutrition facts on their website. I ended up ordering the Mother Earth with salmon (I asked for no salt), and the chicken enchiladas with tofu inside rather than chicken. Both were really good but I will say this. For the amount of sodium each meal had, I really didn't taste that much flavor. But it did taste very healthy , like I was eating real nutritious food, which I liked. Who knows maybe the nutrition info online was wrong? One of the meals said 2,300 mg sodium it tasted more like 900 and the one that said 1,500 tasted more like 700. The flavor just didn't match the stated content. Also tried the chocolate brownie which was to die for and the lemon cake with olive oil which was just okay. I will definitely be returning though to try the black forbidden rice bowl.

What's up with the small salmon?? Not cool.

The overall service was great! I made a reservation for 4 on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. Kyle checked up on us frequently and our food came out pretty quick too! Also, at the bar area there was a TV that played the world cup game, and afterwards baseball. I think this can be a nice lowkey place to watch a game since the vibe was chill. Keep in mind the everyday happy hour is only for the cocktails: the cocktails are $6 and we all enjoyed ours. I got a No. 22 and really liked it. If you don't drink, you can also make the cocktails to mocktails too. Before coming here, I had once been to the next door ice cream place Churn before, but this was my first time coming to Windsor, and I didn't even realize they served the Churn ice cream too for desert! My friends and I shared a triple scoop of double chocolate, sweet cream, and cookies & mint in a cup. It was a good amount of ice cream for the 4 of us, not too sweet either. This place is also advertised as dog-friendly online, which I assume was meant for the outdoor patio seating (the patio looked cute, it had misters and was covered). Overall, great place!! So glad I came here :)

Great chewy sourdough bread with melted cheese and what was excellent roasted sliced turkey. Great sandwich with a nice light ai jus for dipping. We had a choice of three side: French fries, slaw or small salad. The salad was a disaster. Nothing more than a handful of spring mix- that's it nothing else! The house dressing was a red wine vinegar which was not tossed on the salad. Just a handful of spring mix with no dressing whatsoever. Okay, the waitress quickly took care of that problem with a small ramekin of the dressing. All in all the turkey French dip for $19 was a good choice other than a cheap salad. (How about a couple of heirloom cherry tomatoes to at least provide some color.) Now on to the big disappointment- the Wagyu hamburger! There was so much stuff (lettuce?or possibly another handful of spring mix, tomato, some kind of sauce) piled on top of a thin little wagyu beef patty, my wife could not taste the beef at all. She shared a piece of the burger with me and I'll have to say- not at all impressed. Her fries were excellent, however, but when one pays $23 for burger, it should be an allstar. For $12, Chilis makes one of the best burgers in town and you can dress it how you want.

I always planned to go for dinner, I didn't even know they were open for brunch. Well now I do, and it was SO delicious that I would like to come back to try other menu items. The ambiance of Valentine is like being in Palm Springs at a resort enjoying brunch. It's very mid-century modern and I love the decor. They have a large outdoor patio that is probably nice when it's not summer. We sat inside and noticed there is a vintage market (Modern Manor) attached to the restaurant, we went there after eating. (A cute place with some pricey items. I'll post a separate review of the store.) Our server Pete, he was exceptional. He knows my cousins' husband and he gave us the grand tour of the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and we wanted for nothing. We started with handcrafted drinks, I really enjoyed the coffee menu options, with unique flavors. I had the iced Cajeta latte with oat milk. Cajeta is like a Mexican caramel and was very good with espresso. I also tried the chiltepin shakerato (a slight spicy mocha) and golden milk (turmeric latte). I really liked all of them. Then we had a fantastic sampler plate of pastries-- piñon croissant, morning swirl, and churro croissant roll. Baked fresh, these are really great! My fave was the morning swirl. I would come back to try the other pastries alone. Next we had the chula seafood crudo with a delicious agua chile sauce. Then onto our entrees-- avocado toast, breakfast sando, tortilla espanola, tres leche French toast, tater tots, and for good measure the Sonoran dog. I was able to try all the dishes and everything was awesome. The toast used is a thick Texas toast type of bread that is called squash brioche-- so good! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, you can tell that Valentine cares about using fresh, local, high quality/ interesting ingredients with unique flavors. I mean they add trout roe to their Sonoran dog and serve with house made allium-nori chips... how fun is that?! And mesquite-pecan butter with sorghum-sage syrup for the French toast is so rich and sweet. That's a dessert type brunch dish for sure. We had so much food, we couldn't finish so we boxed up leftovers which heated up and tasted great the next day. I fully intend to come back for the dinner menu and have cocktails at Bar 1912. I look forward to it.

Men's and women's restrooms for customers. Front and rear entrance and parking in small shared lot.

I have to say, the pancakes were some of the best I've ever had. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was well worth the wait, and I'll definitely be coming back.

Like some other reviews, with it not being busy at all, the staff was very attentive, almost a little too attentive with trying to clear plates when we were still eating, but that's not a real complaint. Onto the food, 10/10, most interesting and scrumptious food I've enjoyed in a while! The Dry Aged Beef Carpaccio was DELICIOUS, I easily ate it by myself. For an entree I got the Chitarra Clam Pasta, it had a really delicious light white sauce, and it was a delight to eat. The pasta itself was cooked well, the clams seemed fine, and the flavors were great. For dessert, two of us split the Brown Butter Cake, and because there was no menu we didn't realize it would be $17, but in the end it was worth it. The cake was topped with ice cream and there was caramel drizzled across the dish, really delicious and more impressive than I would've expected. Overall staff was friendly, didn't need to make a reservation, and the food was mind blowing.

It's got a great aesthetic with a Long bar and a beamed ceiling. The kitchen is right in front of you so you can see everything being made. Service is fantastic here. The hostess was also our server and she was able to answer all questions. She was very attentive. Everything on the menu looked amazing, but we narrowed it down to the fish, which was branzino and the grilled prime bavette with chimichurri and salsa verde. For dessert we had a chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely fantastic, definitely a place I want to come back to soon. There are other things on the menu that I really want to try, so I'm sure we'll be back.

Our waitress, Dresden, was fantastic, and Chef Pierce Vargas was working right next to us. Every dish was so incredible that we had to tell him personally. We don't usually leave plates this clean, but we practically licked every one. The 5-course tasting menu for $75/person is one of the best values we've ever had. They gave us different dishes, so we were able to try almost the entire menu--from the steak tartare and yellowtail aquachile to strawberry/tomato, asparagus, chicken croquette, branzino, chicken, and two knock out desserts. Every course was outstanding, and the portions left us perfectly full. We also splurged on the wine pairing, and Zac, the wine director, absolutely nailed it. Every pairing elevated the meal. The most surprising part? The tasting menu hasn't gone up in price since they opened in 2017. They could easily charge three times as much, and we'd gladly pay it. Incredible food, incredible service, and an unbelievable value. We can't wait to come back.

Doughbird somehow strikes the perfect balance between "so you're saying there's a chance" and "damn, now I'm married with three kids." And honestly, that's what makes this place so good. My wife and I can escape for a date night and enjoy mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, pizza, and a couple hours of uninterrupted conversation. On another night, we can bring the kids along and have an equally enjoyable family dinner. Doughbird somehow manages to cater to both vibes, and it does so exceptionally well. The food consistently delivers. The service has always been on point. The atmosphere is bright, vibrant, and welcoming without feeling overwhelming. Some restaurants are good because of the food. Some are good because of the atmosphere. Doughbird stands out because it successfully does both while fitting into different seasons of life. An exceptional restaurant and one that my family will continue to return to.
