Yay - got out of a Drs appt that went really long & hadn't had lunch. I popped into Pita Jungle & was fortunate to catch the Happy Hour menu from 3-6pm. Happy Hour = Tapas!!! For under $20, I feasted on * chicken w/ pine nut * falafel patties * sautéed mushrooms * spinach pesto pizza All tasted super delicious & took some leftover pizza home. Keep up the good & healthy food, PJ!

Pita Jungle is a great place to eat some delicious Mediterranean food or just good healthy food in general. I typically visit here for lunch and my favorite thing to get is the curry chicken salad. The chicken salad mix is so tasty and the combination of the tumeric brown rice, chicken salad with grapes, and thin fried onions is amazing. I also super enjoyed their paradise green tea. We did start off with the cilantro jalapeño hummus, which is our fav, and other people ordered the shawarma chicken bowl and gyro wrap. The place was not super busy when we arrived and we attended promptly. Throughout our meal our waitress was nice, attentive, and most importantly kept those paradise green tea refills flowing.

I had the blackened salmon and the garlic mushrooms. The garlic mushrooms were the best I've ever eaten! Whoever made them was amazing. I want to be able to make them like that myself. Great customer service and my to go order was ready and exactly 20 minutes. That's how long they said the salmon would take and they were exact.

Manager Valerie is absolutely amazing, She was very responsive and runs the restaurant Perfectly during her shift. Food here is great!

This is my favorite PJ location. They have a good-sized dining area and also a huge outdoor patio. The service is always great, and the food tastes amazing. My only complaint is that the portion sizes aren't consistent from location to location. I ordered a bowl of the Lemon Chicken Rice Soup, which has marinated chicken, turmeric brown rice, celery, carrots, onions, fresh lemon juice, garnished with fresh arugula, and there was hardly any chicken and rice. It was mostly broth. At several other locations, I have ordered the same thing, and you get a good amount of the chicken and rice. We even ordered takeout on New Year's Eve, and I ordered two "bowls," not cups, of the lemon chicken and rice soup, and when my husband brought the order home, it just was like I ordered two smaller cups. Each cup had hardly any of the chicken and rice. Totally disappointing because I absolutely love the soup and want to eat it every day!

Came in after driving for a few hours, so I got a table and went to the restroom. The urinal was out of order and the stall was very dirty. Luckily, the restaurant was otherwise clean. The waitress was friendly, I ordered the gyro, caramelized cauliflower, and the inflation buster chicken taco. The food took a long time to come out, the cauliflower took 10 minutes and the chicken taco took 25 minutes, with the gyro taking 20 minutes. The food was good, but nothing remarkable.

Horrible experience. I've eaten at this and two other locations previously We choose to sit out side this evening and the server was terrible I never got her name. The manager who tried to excuse her way out of the more than 1 hour 15 minute wait for our food was pathetic. I usually love Pita Jungle and wanted my family to have a nice dinner out but the service ruined our outing. Complete Fail. Even discounting the bill didn't make me feel better. I hope the management takes notice of this and either gets a new manager or hires competent staff

My husband and I used to frequent Pita Jungle when we were younger and dating, but it's been quite some time since we've gone. We were in the area for the Phoenix Art Mueseum and decided to come by to refresh and have a late lunch. We took our seats by the main entrance, Roosevelt, and the vibe was very industrial urban (think NYC June 2009). We got a high chair for our son and ordered their guava lemonades to help us cool down. I love everything Pita Jungle, but I usually lean toward their wraps, and today's was the grilled chicken wrap. The pita is SO fluffy and amazing to bite into. My baby liked the chicken and cucumbers from my wrap and side salad. My husband's go-to order is the chicken del sol. It is savory, citrus, and hearty. If it weren't already 100 degrees outside, this would be my order, too. The plate is circled with pita and cheese that's been toasted and ready to be dipped. This was a wonderful lunch and they sent us home with a guava lemonade for our travel back to Mesa!

Pita Jungle is great! I haven't been in years so I'm glad a friend suggested it for our meetup. Their happy hour is one of the best out there and I'm happy to be reminded of it. Love this location in downtown Phoenix- it's quite spacious inside and we both found parking across the street (parallel). I'm sure it gets busier into the evening so we went at a good time. It wasn't too busy which I prefer and our server was wonderful. We ordered a bunch of tapas and enjoyed every one of them: falafel, chipotle chicken pizza, Mediterranean olives, Garlic Lemon Chicken & Pita Nuts, Fresh Mozzarella & Tomato, and sautéed mushrooms. My personal favorites were the mushrooms, olives, and pizza. We were made to feel welcome after we finished our meal and enjoyed our conversation. I'd recommend this spot!

    Guava lemonade

Walked into this location intending to purchase their Guava Lemonade (that I love), and was warmly greeted by whom I assume was a manager. I placed my order to go and pulled a $10 out of my pocket, when to my surprise and unexpected delight was told "no charge, enjoy". I've been to this location before and the service has always been great. Today was extra special.

A slow pace, but falafel nirvana... Just like I used to get at the push carts in NYC it needed a wee bit more tahini.

The chicken sandwich, on the other hand, was pretty decent -- good crisp, not overly battered. The chicken itself was a bit thin, though, so it lost some juiciness and ended up a little dry. I always really enjoy the ability to order 4 or 5 different things just to try something new. On this evening we started with the Beef Tartar, the Asian BBQ pork belly, and the Japanese sweet potato. All 3 were delicious and easily able to be shared between 3 people. We transitioned into ordering the prime New York Strip and the Maitake mushroom to share. The steak had a very nice pungent but sweet glaze on it that went very well with the marbling of the cut. Finally, we had the strawberry chamomile tart which was a great way to cap off the evening! All in all a very nice meal, in a nice setting where we could all catch up for a few hours. Never once did we feel rushed or similar and our server was always very attentive. We first ordered drinks my wife got a traditional margarita and I got the jalapeño pineapple margarita. I mean there were ok but definitely have had better. The cups they served it in is not the appropriate cups for this drink. Along with the drinks came the chips and salsa which were surprisingly good. Now the food. My wife ordered the chimichanga with red sauce and i ordered shrimp tacos. Nearly 35 mins later and 2 basket of chips gone our food arrives. Her chimichanga was covered in green sauce not red like she ordered and my shrimp tacos were inedible. The shrimp was sooo hard I literally couldn't pull them apart and the crunch I heard while I tried to chew it (which is a clear indicator that it's way over cooked) grossed me out. When my waiter finally came around, after stopping at the table behind us and the 2 tables in front of us, I let him know how bad these tacos were. He took my food and exchanged it for birria tacos. I didn't have to wait long before my tacos arrived. Again they were good but not great. So as we finished our dinner the waiter was nowhere to be found. 11 mins later he comes outside where we were sitting didn't acknowledge us and once again went to the other tables around us. He does whatever it is the other patrons asked him to and goes back inside. When he comes back out he had a tray of drinks dropping them off at the previous tables mentioned and then once again heads back inside. Luckily I grabbed his attention prior him to completing going inside and asked him for a box. Now I was in the food business for almost 16 years and managed servers in those 16 years. Most servers understand when a patron asks for a box to go that usually means they're done and ready to go, so naturally you'd think as he's retrieving the box you'd bring the check. Nope not Donte he brings the box and walks away. Comes back later to pick up the dirty dishes and continues to walk away again, I had to tell him we wanted our check. With all the choices in downtown for food and drink id avoid this one for sure. To think we were up in the air between this place and Arrogant Butcher. Clearly we chose wrong. And one more thing when food gets returned for whatever reason a manager should make an appearance. Nope not here
