The best sandwich in Arizona hands down. It's so serious to me. You don't understand how good this sandwich is. When I went for the first time they pulled out the most average looking bread and I thought okay this will be an average sandwich whatever. No. Wrong. Made my sister drive over from the West Valley to try this sandwich. Order the turkey with cheddar with everything added except onions. You will lose your mind. Soup is also good! I enjoy Sticklers! If you work downtown it's great for lunch. The vegetarian sub is my fave but I also like the Italian. They have specials as well along with soup, salads, ice cream, and coffee drinks. Definitely agree with other reviewers that it can be confusing if you haven't been before. You go to the right side to order and then you go to pay and that's when you say what you want on your sub. They bake the bread fresh in house and it's really yummy! But my favorite is the hot peppers. That's what makes the sandwiches so tasty. I really love their catering too - anytime I'm in a meeting and it's Sticklers, I'm thrilled because I can have as many hot peppers as I want :) Sticklers has major east coast deli vibes. I've walked by Sticklers a billion times but never have gone in. I decided to shake that up and really enjoyed my experience here. This lunch spot keeps things moving with its line that leads you to ordering your food with the kitchen, walking by drink and chip options, and finally paying for your food and drink. Sticklers was pretty busy when I went but the staff was still super friendly and fast. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich and really enjoyed it. Before eating, Sticklers gives you the option to chose your condiments and things like a pickle or something else to make your lunch better. I appreciated the extra customization. I also ordered a coffee here and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I really liked the iced coffee and thought it had a very rich flavor. I also liked the nice mix of outdoor and indoor seating. There is a fair amount of seating indoors but I thought the outside space looked nicer. The entire seating area is covered by the roof for a more enjoyable experience. Overall, I think Sticklers is a good spot to grab lunch downtown and I like the range of options to choose from. Always a good sandwich! I love their tuna sandwich with a side of their macaroni salad! So delicious! They also have a fresh salad bar, I've never had the salad but it looks good with many topping options. The service is always great even when they are busy which is nice! Went into Sticklers today and ordered an Iced Americano. The price was $5.31 I gave the young man $6.00 and he took my cash and put it in the register and closed the drawer. I said hey no change? He said no change. I told him I was planning on putting the change in the tip jar. He just nodded his head and walked away. I have been going there for 4 years every morning and work for the City of Phoenix. Never going back and don't like getting ripped off no matter how little money it is. Jury duty down town. We have 1.5 hours.. where to go? Head out and see Stickers And a lot of people going in. I get in the long line that doesn't seem to be moving. While on the website liking at the menu... I decide.. I'll order on line. Sure enough... placed my order... 12 mins it was ready. I had already taken a seat.. so I just had to get up to retrieve and pay for it. I got the Turkey and Swiss. With hot peppers and Mayo. Side of potato salad and can of soda. $12. When I went to counter they were so nice.. out of potato salad... macaroni salad it is. So delicious the sandwich was huge and filling. Could not finish it. ( wish I could have taken it with me.) This place is a hidden gem in Downtwon PHX! I was going to go to Jimmy Johns but my curiosity took me to Sticklers, I've had great luck with sandwich spots near financial centers and my hunch on this was spot on! They use that dutch crunch style bread for their French roll and give it a slight toast so think of Potbelly and Quiznos but much better. I got the turkey, bacon, cheddar with everything and it was such a good sandwich, highly recommended. read more

Visited Sticklets today for the first time. I could tell it is a hot spot for court employees. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich, chips and a fountain drink. The total came to $15, kind of pricey. The sandwich was good. I would recommend the wheat bread toasted which was as good as wheat bread can be, I guess. The atmosphere is inviting, the employees were kind and the food was good. The only thing I would recommend is keeping the sink stain clean and organized. I understand everyone is busy, but it is imperative to keep the presentation of cleanliness throughout. Oh, one word thing is if you want to buy let tickets -- you can. There's a kiosk in the shop. First time here! Great little sandwich shop! Fantastic service and they are just doing it right! Quaint little Mom & Pop shop with simply listed menu. They are quick to offer a solution if you do not see quite what you want. I had a chef salad (there are no gluten free bread options) and it was loaded. I know Sticklers has been here for years and they made it through the 1st year of Covid, visit them if you get the chance and show your support! (Super nice people, and I am unrelated) Solid 4 stars because you are getting what you're paying for, awesome. It's clean with sanitizer readily available. Fast service for those on a tight schedule, great sandwiches, good variety and fairly good prices when you consider location - right in the middle of downtown and limited time to get lunch. They have a "make your own" salad but you choose the toppings and they make it up for you with GENEROUS portions so if you like a large salad, you might try the "half-toppings" option first before going all in for the large! read more

Had the meatball sandwich and a can of soda. Not the largest sandwich in the world, but it was pretty solid. Fresh bread, the meatballs were good, and they put in a tad bit of lettuce and tomato, per request. Very reasonably priced. Pretty limited menu. Mostly sandwiches, a couple soups, and a modest but decent-looking salad "Buffet" (they make it per your request). Modest place, but very friendly and pleasant employees. Nice to not have to deal with sullen, bored teenagers for once. Pretty solid Mom and Pop lunch place in the end. read more

Fantastic customer service, I was immediately helped even though it was lunch time and busy. I ordered an Oreo milkshake and a "Jumbo Hot Pretzel" with cheese. The Oreo milkshake was perfect, very thick with a lot of Oreos, some places are cheap and add more milk which thins it out - but not here, it's definitely a lot of ice cream and a lot of Oreos! The prezel on the other hand was not hot and was thin, I was looking forward to a very warm, soft, and thick pretzel like their title says "Jumbo Hot Pretzel." But neither was it jumbo or hot. The cheese was not bad, they gave a fair portion and it had some spice to it, like jalapeno cheddar. Prices are also a bit high, a milkshake and pretzel with cheese will run you around $9. read more

Our sandwiches were decent (BLT and Turkey Breast) but nowhere near exemplary. My order got messed up and they remade it, but it took a while on the second try. Located in the heart of downtown right off of Washington Sticklers serves as a hub for the business and working class alike. They have bar seating wear you can people watch out the windows or sit down tables inside and out. How sticklers works. First you go order a sandwich to the right as you walk in. Then you grab a side, then your sandwich comes out of a toaster oven while the sandwich maker ask you what you want on it. The sign above list in order of toppings. The first time you go it can be quite awkward but the more times you go you realize how efficient this is. It keeps the crowd moving. If you want to hit this place for lunch I suggest going between 11 and 1130. Forget it at noon its mostly working downtown folks and the line and seating can get way out of control. The food is pretty good. I enjoy the Roast Beef Sandwich with provolone the best. With a side of Jalapeno chips. Makes for a good meal. They also have a pretty nice salad set up where you can pick through the glass what you want on the salad. One thing most people don't really know about is sticklers has the best milk shakes in the downtown area. Period. These are hand spun real ice cream little wonders of joy. The Chocolate Malt will melt your heart its so good. You can also just get regular ice cream if you want also. Overall this is a nice sandwich shop with added bonuses. The bagels are always overloaded every single time. Guaranteed you will need to have tons of napkins to wipe off what you get on your hands and want to wash yourself. I ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich and the daughter ordered ham sandwich. We weren't asked if we wanted ours toasted, they just came that way. I would have preferred non toasted. The sandwiches were very good. Morgan had a scoop of Strawberry ice cream and I had a scoop of vanilla with chocolate syrup. Idk if it was home made or not but it tasted like it. Not impressed with sticklers. When I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, I relayed to be sure to make it with wheat bread as I did not like sub buns. What I received: A sub bun with, wait, where's the cheese? WTH? There was VERY little cheese. A small coffee was over prices and came out luke warm from the carafe.
