We(co-workers) used to be regulars at their 15th Ave location before closing. This is the first time in a while we decided to try their downtown location. This establishment is much larger and can accommodate any party size. Large seating area with tables and some booth style seating. The service is just as I remember it, different faces but still friendly and attentive. This brings the stars down and I dislike saying this-it is not the same! If you're in this area, there isn't much to choose from in terms of food. The only other option was Ziggys pizza, so we opted to try Crazy Jims instead. There was a man who greeted us at the door and sat us right away, I believe he was the manager. He also said goodbye upon our exit. I appreciate that old school hospitality/charm. The server was busy, but friendly and nice. The place is clean and has a downtown/city cafe vibe which I like. But the issue is the food quality. The chicken is diced square pieces that seem very processed. The fries are small processed fries similar to McDonalds fries (I was not a fan), and the vegetables were not very fresh. I stopped by on Friday 06-20-2025 for lunch as I remember this place from years ago . I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a lemonade. BIG MISTAKE . 100% Awful! This place use to be good. Three of us got take out and will absolutely never return. First, my $12.95 vegetarian salad was so disappointing, shredded lettuce topped with semi old baby carrots, a piece of bell pepper, sprinkled mushroom and onions. Don't forget the piece of tomato...it was just a side salad and I was literally hungry after eating it. My second friend also had a chicken salad and was disappointed. But more importantly, my third friend had a salad with chicken and as she ate part of it, discovered a curly hair. Now that's just disgusting. I am very happy I found this restaurant! Short walk from work and great food. Not happy about the price, $14 and some change for a chicken shawarma pita and a side, no drink. That steep if you ask me. I ordered no onion, add feta and extra tzatziki. Fingers were crossed because of the last place near work that I placed the same order and they got it wrong. The wait wasn't too long. I had plenty of time to eat once I walked back to work. Now moment of truth... I open the box... and I smiled. There is exactly what I ordered! Yes! Can get in and out during lunch hour without having to be in a mad rush. I've had gyro, pasta, and I think a mushroom Swiss burger. I am so sad to write this!! Crazy Jim's has been around forever and used to be my go to place. The last 2 time I've just been so disappointed. Prices went up, portions and quality went down- in a major way. Salads are $15 and the size of dinner salad. Pitas have a small 1/2 cup dried chicken, 1 slice tomato. Fries are the cheap frozen kind and not the home made greasy ones they used to have. Creamy Greek dressing is still the best- but not worth it anymore. C'mon my peeps- do better! read more

Been to Crazy Jim's before and had to come back while I was in downtown! It's family owned and everyone is super nice from the owners and down to the servers. There was a time when I frequented Crazy Jim's just about everyday, trying different food menu items. I am sorry to say that today is the last time I will have frequented. I am very big on respect for all people. I didn't take kindly to the owners talking to me as if I were a child in a rude manner. I know that everyone has bad days, but as a owner one bad day can cost a loyal customer. My fellow coworker who heard the entire conversation and decided she will no longer dine there also. We popped in to Crazy Jims last night before a concert at Comerica. At first glace at the front door it looked like a counter diner, as we didn't notice the large dining room on the side. The big room was a nice surprise! It wasn't a beautiful space, it looks very efficient, and kind of like a corporate cafeteria dining room. About the efficient part, the staff certainly was!!!! when we were seated the restaurant was at about 25% full and by the time we left the lobby was packed with people waiting for tables. What impressed me so much was the team work going on here, there was never a service misstep and nobody looked frazzled as the restaurant quickly filled. The kitchen held its own as well as everything we ordered was tasty fresh and hot. JIM if you are reading this thank your lucky stars that you have such a crew!!!! Every time I am in downtown I make sure to have my breakfast or lunch at Crazy Jim's. This is a family owned restaurant. Their staff are very friendly. The owners are always there and are so welcoming. Crazy Jim's is one of the only restaurants that actually makes their breakfast with "real" eggs. Their omelettes are delicious. Fair prices on breakfast and lunch in downtown Phoenix located under the 305 parking garage. I think they have some good specials daily too. The owner here, Albert, runs the place with his family. Albert is a very friendly guy and makes the place very welcoming. I got a big slice of pizza and a salad today for $9. They make the dough every day, not too thick or thin. Two thumbs up. I had the Saganaki Chicken Salad. It was a good salad, with Greek cheese, and chicken that was cooked perfectly. The salad part was plentiful, except it would have been nice to have more than one little strip of bell pepper. We had to ask for pepperoncini because it was missing. The pita bread served on the side was soft and cut into strips - you're served what looks like half a small pita, but it was plenty.
