I really wanted to love CAVA! I'm not sure if this was just a case of ordering the wrong thing or if this just isn't my spot. I ordered the harissa chicken bowl, which was a selection from the menu, not a build-your-own option. I found the bowl to be way too spicy. I understand that harissa flavors pack a punch, but this was a full on tackle, not a punch. Due to the spice, I didn't enjoy the bowl at all. The rice that was mixed in with the bowl also had a weird crunchy texture. Aside, the parking here was also a huge struggle. Sometimes I just get a craving for CAVA- it's basically the Mediterranean version of Chipotle. The prices are pretty reasonable and picking up takeout is always super easy. Went to this location to place an order for five bowls last night. Brought them home to eat and found a medium length brown hair in one of them. None of us (customers) have brown hair. Picture and receipt included here. Don't remember the two female servers having hairnets. Ugh! We usually have pretty good luck with cava, although this time around the grilled chicken was a little too burnt for our taste. They genuinely cannot get it together for online orders. They always forget stuff- the side sauces, the pita chips, the pita bread, the drinks, the silverware. Dirty place. Wife and I were just here. We walked in and noticed when we were ordering that the food area was not properly kept ckean, there's sauce and food everywhere! Not a single table was clean. My wife had to wipe our table with wet wipes so we could sit down and eat. This was my second time ever having Cava and I simply love it. We need more healthy fast food in St. Louis like this! Even at night (8:45pm) when I arrived from my flight they still had a decent variety of toppings available. As a pescatarian I love their roasted veggies and falafel. A friend was visiting that has Cava where they live so was excited to introduce us. They were supposed to open at 10:45, but when we got there right before noon the doors were locked with a note on the door. They opened at noon and were quick to welcome us in. They were out of Falafel, and after reading reviews have been out for a while. I'm not sure what the issue is because I can get falafel all over Phoenix! It works like a chipotle type restaurant, I started with a salad bowl and picked my greens and topping. Lots of options for vegetarians but without the falafel, I felt they needed another vegetarian protein like tofu, they did offer avocado but it was an additional $3 (approx). The drinks were house made iced teas and lemonades, and healthier sodas made with cane sugar. I'll definitely try again and hope for the falafel. read more

GOOD BUT SLOW! In my first review right after they had been open for a short amount of time, I took away a star due to service. Now months later I'm STILL disappointed by the service! I'm not sure if they have a high turnaround so there's always new people, or if training/management is lacking, but something is going on here. I spent 10-15 minutes here getting my food to go and only 1 person was in front of me!!! I asked for pita chips on the side and there was none on the line, and the guy helping me asked someone to help him, but no one did, so he had to go get my chips himself. As I was being rung up, I heard someone who I assume is the manager yelling out "cmon you guys this stuff shouldn't be taking so long." Food is absolutely delicious here, and portions are big! I can hardly finish a bowl. If I get pita on the side, no way for me to finish. I highly recommend the pita chips which cost $2. All in all, don't expect to make a quick stop here even if the line is empty. Service is slow and lacking, management should step up. read more
