I've been ordering takeout from both Phoenix locations and the taste is decent, tho a little overpriced. My issue is with the service - every other time they mess up my order and since I do takeout I only discover it at home when changes can't be made. I usually order custom bowls and they're almost never accurate. At least 2-3 of my selections are missing and some random ingredients are added that I didn't order. Cava is totally overpriced.. The little scoop of meat protein that they put in your bowl, doesn't add up to the cost. They've been doing this from the beginning no shrink inflation here but they'll start that soon. I'm pretty sure.. I honestly like some of the flavors, but the meat is always sitting in some kind of bin all cold scooped out with something that looks like some kind of scoop that looks between an ice cream scoop and a teaspoon. We generally love cava. We started coming here instead of chipotle ever since we heard about it. The workers we encountered were pretty rude and definitely don't make you feel welcomed. Ordered via Uber Eats this evening and was extremely disappointed by the quality of food and overall lack of quality control. My bowl was missing literally ALL of the veggies, save 2 limp tomatoes and 3 little slices of cucumber. No broccoli, no corn, no onion, no cabbage, no olives, etc. Also the falafel was extremely overcooked and gross. I essentially just paid $15 for rice and dried falafel. Lots of false advertising here. Their bowls show that they are full or close to full when in reality they are less than 1/3 full. The service is very slow, when there is a line out the door there are 2-3 employees just standing around in the prep kitchen and one person is making all the bowls one by one and checking people out. Also they never have avocado in stock despite being right by a grocery store. Omg!! Super delicious food! I had the harissa chicken in a Shawarma! They let me taste it before I got it because this was my first time to this place. Customer service was on point from the time I walked in to the place. Everything was nice, neat, clean and smell really good inside. I came just in time because it got busy right after I was ordering. I was kind of nervous because this was my first time like us that however a lot of the reviews were based on customer service so I was like why not?! I'mma give it a go. I'm so glad I did. Tried this place out and I am very happy I did. This place is like the Mediterranean chipotle. We had the make your own bowls there are so many options. Just as a warning the harissa honey chicken is Spicy!! More spicy than honey. The drinks are also really good! I loved the pineapple mint! They are like a agua fresca. CAVA hype is so real! Dinner rush caused a long line to form, but service was also relatively slow. This location seemed to be a little understaffed. I recommend building your own bowl to optimize all the flavors! Crazy Feta and Tzatziki are definitely a must to make the bowl creamy. I was thoroughly impressed by CAVA. Similar to Chipotle, this fast food restaurant offers healthy alternatives to something else you may get on the go. I was surprised by how much food I could get for about $11 or $12 dollars. I felt super full after eating my bowl. I ordered the Falafel Crunch. It was super rich with the flavors of hummus, fresh vegetables, falafel, and plenty of spices intertwined together. I think this meal could be eaten right away or the next day and you couldn't tell a difference. It is great as is right at the restaurant or out of the fridge. Parking was pretty easy here with the big parking lot between the strip mall and CAVA. There is only counter-service available so I think this spot is a good option if you're not in a big hurry. read more

First time at cava. Out of towner. I'll start w I wish we had them in Washington state. If you've never been think of the "chipotle" model of fast food for Mediterranean food. Food was flavorful and fresh. You can smell the deliciousness as soon as you walk in. Select your base: grains, rice or greens (or a combo). Then you can add toppings like roasted egg plant, red pepper hummus or traditional hummus (there are more but that's what I ordered). Then your selection of meats from chicken to beef and upgrades like lamb meat balls or braised lamb(my choice and I was right to pick it - tender and juicy and immersed in flavah). Then veggie toppings like roasted corn or Persian cukes and cabbage. Lastly a plethora of dressings. I had the lemon tahini. Served w a side of carrots (why) or pita slices (give me more). This is a nutrient dense bowl. And fed me twice. As a person w food allergies I was really pleased to see ingredients listed on the glass as you go thru the line. Then I was able to ask if I had other questions and the staff actually knew. But the service left a lot to be desired. Customer service like in most places, is dead. Kids w long droop faces. No one smiles. They scoop and dish you up. No hi, how can I help you or thanks for coming. I guess it's not a fancy place and it's post Covid attitude everywhere. I stopped by Cava to pick up dinner after getting my car fixed in the area. I got half lamb and half steak with all the toppings and garlic sauce, along with an order of pita chips. The pita chips were definitely the standout. The bowl was delicious, although a little bit salty for my taste. This Mediterranean-style Chipotle I've been hearing about is quite delicious. I ordered the ri e and lentil , food tasted mushy like it was sitting for an hour , I added avocado for 2.65 but it was not fresh ND about half , the steak was dry and overcooked and cold , I did like cucumber and corn the bowl looked large but it was only 50 % ,filled the line was so long , I wanted to add something but was told that i would have to go to the ba k of the line. This place is a mess. They're constantly out of ingredients. 80% of the employees are rude and are offended that customers want to speak to them. Unfortunately, I like the taste of the food here but the service is horrendous. I'm always in a bad mood after leaving because the employees are awful and don't communicate. Annnnnnyway...I chose the Greek Salad Bowl, which was chockful of so many good-for-you ingredients: grilled chicken, English cucumbers, arugula, feta, & more. The chicken is bathed in seasoning - enjoyed the flavor but would appreciate less so I could tell it IS chicken & chicken that is fresh (anyone who's ever gotten food poisoning from chicken may relate to this!) If I lived up the street, I'd be here daily. Excellent good, great quality, clean establishment, friendly staff. I could go on and on. I made my own bowl with super greens(kale,cabbage, Brussels sprouts) rice, white roasted sweet potatoes, tzatziki, red pepper hummus, harissa chicken, cucumber/tomato, avocado, pita strips, just a whole bunch of greatness. They were out of pickled red onion and olives, which both happen to be my favorites so that's the only reason for four stars. Otherwise, definitely worth coming back to. My first first CAVA experience...Friday evening, only 2 folks in front of us. They were helped and we stood there with no acknowledgment or help. We waited in line for over 15 minutes maybe 20. The staff prioritized their online - pickup orders over the people standing right in front of them! Horrible service. Once helped, they were out of hummus and low (out of) chicken. They were waiting on the back kitchen. And hummus frozen in the back freezer.. Isn't this supposed to be quick casual dining? Keyword quick!? It was awful. Who is running their establishment?!
