    Gyro Plate with Rice

If you're looking for a hearty meal that won't break the bank, Gyro 101 is your spot. You get so much food for your money, and it's always top-notch. The service here is consistently excellent--genuinely friendly and quick, making every visit a pleasant experience. The rice is fluffy, the hummus is perfectly creamy, and the meats? Absolutely mouthwatering. Don't skip the falafel; they're crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and make the perfect pairing with that extra tzatziki sauce. Trust me, it's worth it. My mom wanted to add that she is obsessed with the baba ghanoush and she could eat it every day. What really sets Gyro 101 apart, though, is the staff. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate requests, making you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in. Every meal is a warm, welcoming experience and completely fresh. We want to emphasize it is fresh. If you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for?

    Best yellow rice with kabob!

The food is soo delicious! The customer service is the best and friendly. Chef Aj was very brilliant with the dish he makes. The cashier was super nice and helpful. I recommend everyone nearby to stop by and try this wonderful place out. Atmosphere is amazing!

The gyro shop down the street was closed during their posted hours so, I ended up here. I had the gyro plate. I absolutely love the hummus. The pita was hot and tasted fresh. The gyro lamb/beef was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The tzatziki was thick like butter (The place I normally go it's very watery), and delicious. All 4 stars are for the food alone. The service, and the dining room make me want to take off two stars, but I added one back for the food. The gentleman at the counter couldn't take his nose out of his phone. He kept rubbing his face/head like he just awoke from a nap. I also ordered a bottle of Coke, but he didn't ring it up. I'm not sure they even have a restroom. The display where the utensils were looked like a child gad rummaged through it. The atmosphere is very hole-in-the-wall which doesn't bother me, but it felt like it was 90 degrees. I sat directly under the mini split A/C and it didn't seem to be on. The next customer to come in commented "long day?" as if he noticed the guy's fatigue, and also asked about the air conditioning to which the cashier replied "hot"... Some really good looking stuff on the menu. I will come back to try more. The gyro plate is definitely worth a try. I suggest take out. I don't like to sweat and eat.

First time in at Gyro 101 in Phoenix, they have another location in Scottsdale. The Phoenix location has been open for at least two weeks. When you walk in you order your food based upon the menu and pictures on the wall. Prices are clearly posted and very reasonable. There was an assortment of fresh Baklava at the register so we added that to the order. There were three in our group and we ordered a couple of gyro wraps with an order of chicken tenders. Side orders included a Falafel plate, onion rings, Greek fries and bottled sodas. The food was very tasty and fresh. Great service, clean and good value. Happy we have a Mediterranean food option in this neighborhood. Put this one on your list.

It was my first time here I was attended very fast and received my food fairly quickly. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. I loved the cucumber in the salad. I definitely will be going again to try more of the food.

Gyro with Tzatziki and onion rings!

So here it was on a Saturday afternoon on warm day in Phoenix. I was invited to revisit Gyro 101, a Mediterranean type of food restaurant. I believe this restaurant is bit over a month new at this location. As you walk into this place you right away know where the order counter is. To your right is the dine in area. Today I am ordering their regular gyro with a side order of onion rings, and dining in, and you pay before not after. You sit down at your table and wait for your food to be ready to served. My gyro came as did the onion rings. The gyro comes with tzatziki sauce and very tasty. I forgot to mention the drinks are either in a can or bottle in case you were wondering. Next time I will try other dishes on their menu but their gyro is a winner with me. When you dine in one of the gentlemen will check to make sure your food is good. We just give him the thumbs up to let him know know all is good. I realize that there are other Gyro 101 places on the east side of the Valley but it is refreshing to see it open here. Not a fancy place by all means but it is worth giving it a try. By the way their Baklava is really good and they have all different flavors for you to try and taste!

The food is absolutely fantastic. I went because I heard they had amazing gluten free items and I was not let down. If your gluten free you know it's hard to find anything that tastes good or even looks good for that matter. Middle Eastern Bakery and Deli has to be the best place to get some gluten free items. Their pita bread is soft . The lavash is soft and flexible. The lemonade please try the lemonade it is absolutely fantastic. They even have gluten free Baklava Safe to say I will be returning to this place. If you are gluten free it's a must and if your not gluten free then it's definitely a must!!

Middle Eastern Bakery and Deli is a not to be missed gem…read more Part bakery, part deli, part grocery shop, this place is small, but mighty. The atmosphere is unpretentious and the service was fast. I ordered the Ouzi Platter. While not cheap, the portion size is enough for two meals, so plan for leftovers. The Filo (spelled Fillo on their menu board) was light and flaky. The texture was so nice and flaky I would have enjoyed it without the filling. But, filling it had and it was good. Both the marinade lamb and seasoned rice rounded out the dish nicely. The platter included tzatziki sauce, a bed of seasoned rice, a warm pita and Greek salad. White the type of platter was "Ouzi", the standout was the Greek salad. IMO, any salad can be easily ruined with a subpar dressing. This Greek salad and its dressing were outstanding and worthy of ordering on its own. With its laid back, casual, family feel, large portions and out of this world Greek dressing, I'll be back soon.

My first experience at Casa De Falafel was phenomenal. As I approached the counter, I was told by…read morethe kind and gracious gentleman my falafel experience would change after trying the one they offer... For a split second, I thought, "That's a good way to intrigue someone to buy and try..." but NO, he turns around for a mere moment with a sample and my eyes lit up, I finished my order "beef Pita," (of which was extremely flavorful, tender, and fresh... the pita had great consistency and it all disappeared in seconds) but sorry, I digress, there I was, grabbing the strawberry lemonade and walking towards the table when yet again, the kind man asked, "how is the lemonade?" To which I respond, "great!" He then proceeded to pull me an additional cup, "please, try the others as well, they're homemade!" A mango pineapple and a passion fruit were awaiting my pallet, and soon enough... they too, were gone. The falafel was absolutely incredible, crispy outside, soft and flavorful and not dry, that's the big one for me... the falafel was perfect... there was only one thing wrong, so I asked... "can I order four more!? and some baklava too" (to take home of course...) I did sneak a bite of the baklava though, again, so tasty, perfect amount of sweetness, not overly sticky, and the right size to end the meal. Casa De Falafel is one that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND... I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu... they will definitely be the only place that I go for a falafel craving... THANK YOU!

Usually LOVE this spot. Today was a letdown. Super…read moredisappointing. Treated some friends, hyped up how good this place was. We both ordered a chicken wrap; I got one, and they shared one. When we got our food, the wraps were TINY- we both requested "no tomatoes" (how I normally order), but the wraps came out like half the size. ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. I cannot justify paying as much money as I did for such a tiny wrap. I saved half and took a picture. In hindsight, I should've taken a photo of the tiny portion on the tray. It looked like a pressed egg roll. Food: delicious BUT OVERPRICED FOR THE TINY PORTION. Service: always friendly, but really guys? This wrap is embarrassing. Ambiance: chill. This must've been what I paid for- cuz the food was a child's portion. Conclusion: thank goodness I ordered some of everything- otherwise, we'd still be hungry. My friends enjoyed the flavors but were not impressed with the size of their wrap. Especially because they ripped off some of the extra wrap, which made it smaller. Doubt I'll be back unless they fix their portions. For real, I feel ripped off. Updated: decreasing from 5 stars to 2.
