The staff - awesome! The wonderful charmingly-sassy woman at the counter is a doll. We spoke about living in Greece, spoke about her late husband andher family she runs the place with (30 years strong!)... personable and easy to talk to! The food - OUTSTANDING!!!! The most tender, incredible tasting gyro meat I have ever had. I had the gyro entree which comes with a heaping pile of gyro meat, fries, sliced tomatoes and pita with a side of the most delicious dressing as well as a large side salad. Drove over from the far east valley. Haven't been in this area for over 1 yr plus. This is still the best gyros, salad, chicken and everything else on their menu. I am a home chef and rarely eat out. This place is consistent with great tasting food. Met one of the owner's son this visit, real nice guy takes after his mom who we met previously. This is a real Greek owned establishment. I say this because many use the Greek monacher for authentic food reasons but very few are Greek. Not that this matters but why say it ? Check this place out and enjoy. My wife and I LOVE THIS PLACE! Their chicken pita with fries is the bargain of the decade!!! I order it with salad instead of fries which is a couple of bucks extra but sooooooo worth it. The salad substitution barely fits in the container! I love this place so much that I will only allow myself to eat there once a week because I never want it to grow tired/used to it! I always save the chicken pita for my wife. She loves this place as well but she doesn't get out much so I bring her the pita which I love but that is something even more special than their salad. The chicken is always done to absolute perfection. Juicy with minimal charring here and there. I have tried to crack their chicken recipe for years now but it's never 1/10 as good as theirs. Another one off thing is the tziki sauce is great. I NEVER eat mayonnaise, ranch, blue cheese or the like. But like the onion thing , I'll eat THEIR tziki sauce!! It's different here and it's driving me nuts!!! I'm sitting here on a Sunday wanting to go eat there but I just went yesterday and won't go back until next Saturday. This place is so special to me. I can't say enough. Service is always spot on. Ambiance? It could be the middle of a cattle stock yard or a leper colony and I'd still make my way through the cattle or lepers to come here to eat. I have been twice. I think in comparing gyro restaurants often times the same gyro supplier is used and so sometimes it seems like you are getting the same stuff at a place with a different name. I felt the gyro was bland. In addition one reason I might go to a different place next time is that some other places make house made hot sauce which I think again can separate one place from another. I've had a lot of gyro's from places all over the US since I travel for work a lot. I don't usually leave reviews, but this was easily the best gyro I've ever had. The lamb fell apart in my mouth and was full of flavor. The tzatziki sauce was made very well, and the pita was soft and fresh. The fry's that came with the meal were also wonderful, and the entire thing only cost about 13$. The gyro was packed full of lamb and I was surprised I finished the whole thing. I live on the opposite side of the city and just happened to be over in this area for work. I stopped in for lunch and the lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful as well. I got a gyro plate with no onions: it included two pita breads, some tomatoes, a small salad, fries, and lots of gyro meat. I am not a fan of salad so I was pleasantly surprised by how great the salad was. I thought the fries were average. But the gyros and sauce were excellent. I tried out the deep fried zucchini and it was above average. Overall, I couldn't even finish the gyro plate because there was so much food. My whole order came out to $18.46. read more

This is one of my must stops when I visit Phoenix. The food is absolutely incredible!! First of all, it's a family owned and run restaurant, and they treat you like family!! Had the Greek spaghetti at lunch. Really tasty, huge portion, somewhat different than your normal spaghetti, and in a good way. The side Greek salad was excellent as well, and also fairly large for a side salad. The lunch deal even included a slice of buttered garlic bread which was good, although not some freshly baked/toasted wonder. Really solid lunch in total. Good price as well. I think it was $15 or so after slapping on a 15% tip. Have to say; that salad and spaghetti was really good, and I will definitely be back to try other options.
