This place is tucked away in the Deer Valley Shopping Center along the exit to Thunderbird. It's really a hidden gem. I stopped in for the first time this week after the gym. This place was very clean and tidy. I was greeted at the counter by a pleasant woman. She took my order and I had a seat. I ordered the gyro combo and let me say, it was delicious. The pita was cooked properly, the sandwich was full of meat and the sauce was excellent! Overall this place is a solid 5 stars! Ambiance - 5 stars, it's a gyro joint! King Gyros was rough. The fries were awful: soggy, flavorless, and bready. The gyro meat and pita bread were bland. They really didn't taste like much of anything beyond salt and flour, respectively. The salad had too much dressing, and the olives were not pitted. Not exactly ideal for a salad, and I wish I'd known beforehand. Drove over from the far east valley. Haven't been in this area for over 1 yr plus. This is still the best gyros, salad, chicken and everything else on their menu. I am a home chef and rarely eat out. This place is consistent with great tasting food. Met one of the owner's son this visit, real nice guy takes after his mom who we met previously. This is a real Greek owned establishment. I say this because many use the Greek monacher for authentic food reasons but very few are Greek. Not that this matters but why say it ? Check this place out and enjoy. Always the best ever! Tried many gyros places in Phoenix and none compared to what we got till we found King Gyros. Meat always fresh, good size servings without the cheats that add lettuce (and who ever put lettuce in a gyros?), nice people run it, too. My wife and I LOVE THIS PLACE! Their chicken pita with fries is the bargain of the decade!!! I order it with salad instead of fries which is a couple of bucks extra but sooooooo worth it. The salad substitution barely fits in the container! I love this place so much that I will only allow myself to eat there once a week because I never want it to grow tired/used to it! I always save the chicken pita for my wife. She loves this place as well but she doesn't get out much so I bring her the pita which I love but that is something even more special than their salad. The chicken is always done to absolute perfection. Juicy with minimal charring here and there. I have tried to crack their chicken recipe for years now but it's never 1/10 as good as theirs. Another one off thing is the tziki sauce is great. I NEVER eat mayonnaise, ranch, blue cheese or the like. But like the onion thing , I'll eat THEIR tziki sauce!! It's different here and it's driving me nuts!!! I'm sitting here on a Sunday wanting to go eat there but I just went yesterday and won't go back until next Saturday. This place is so special to me. I can't say enough. Service is always spot on. Ambiance? It could be the middle of a cattle stock yard or a leper colony and I'd still make my way through the cattle or lepers to come here to eat. In addition one reason I might go to a different place next time is that some other places make house made hot sauce which I think again can separate one place from another.
