It's one of the few gyro places in the area that are open on Sundays. That's how I ended up there. Looking forward to a gyro pita and a Greek Salad, I entered the very dirty glass door. It clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. No big deal. I waited in line and they quickly took my order. I went to use the bathroom while I waited for my order and it looked like they mopped the floor and the walls with a bucket of black grease. How does that even happen? Washed my hands and sat down to my gyro & salad. Immediately I noticed the gyro tasted like chemicals. I couldn't tell if it was from the pita, the tziki sauce or the meat. I decided to try the salad. Not great, but not chemically. Could not finish either of them and threw it away. Disappointing, but I should not have been surprised from the start. Will have to find another post workout place on a Sunday. read more

So I stopped by based on the advice of the ladies who work in the clothing store next door. I don't live in this neighborhood so I wouldn't have gone out of my way to go here. However, when I saw the sign I realized I was in the mood for some Greek food since I hadn't had some in a while. I chose number one which consists of a Gyro, a side of fries, and a medium drink. The bill was under $17 with tax. 16 plus change. The Gyros here are half and half but they have an extensive menu and other choices. They even had these little pizza puffs that looked pretty good. I'm sure you could find a choice that meets your dietary needs and tastes here. I was a little turned off at first because of a rude customer in front of me but that's not the fault of the establishment. They have a soda machine, self-serve with Pepsi products. The food came out fast and the gyro was pretty stuffed and large. I was able to take home half for dinner. I got the regular fries but they do have choices and I was told their garlic and cheese fries are really good. The french fries were actually very good. I like them well done on the outside soft on the inside, very hot and salty and these fries delivered. The gyro as well was also very good. The only advice I would have for them is they shouldn't have the radio and the TV on at the same time even though the volume of the TV was turned down. With people being picky about how they spend their money these days the owner should be wary about what channels they put on on the TV as well. read more

I discovered this place while I was waiting for my mom who was at the doctor. As a fan of gyros, i just had to try it. I was very kindly welcomed by the woman behind the counter.She was very sweet. Ordered the number one which is the sandwich, fries and drink and she was happy to give me a bottle of water since I don't drink soda. The gyro was huge to start off with just wow, enough, for two people in one sandwich. And it was delicious!!! Everything was fresh the meat was on point. The txaziki sauce was different than. the normal that we run into around here in the Phoenix area. but it was unique and probably more authentic than the ones we have here, very light on the dill, which is good because.I don't really like dill that much. The staff were very friendly as we were there, making sure we got exactly what we wanted with professional gratitude for our business. Also checked on us to make sure everything was good. Chicken Shwarma, tender pieces of chicken with some nice spices, not too strong but full of flavor. The garlic sauce is ... pink, not sure why, but it's different. I actually originally thought I got the wrong sauce but it's the right one! There is a good amount of garlic flavor, not too strong, and you can always dole on more sauce to get more garlic taste. The meat is good without the sauce and the sauce enhances the taste. Pita is nice and fluffy. There is some onions, pickles, and tomatoes with it. I am not a huge pickle and tomato fan but it actually all mixed together so well with the meat and sauce! It was so good, I ate through it and wanted more cuz it was so good. The pita is 10 bucks, very appropriately priced for the amount of food and great flavor. It's a small lil place, about 6 tables ranging from 2-8 ppl. Parking is plentiful. There are hefty portions, it's really good and you get a ton, I got the Italian with Greek fries. The sandwich was great and not overpowered by mustard. My husband had the gyro and it was hefty and great. The hummus fresh and warm and really good. The baklava was average to above average, but it's quite large so you get a lot of it. I walked into Gyros Palace, confusing it with another Greek restaurant I've ordered from (but never been to) with a similar name. While they did not have the Babaganoush I came in there for, I ordered a gyro sandwich meal that came with fries and a drink. The sandwich was huge! And delicious! It was so large it barely fit in the basket, lol. There must have been a half pound of meat stuffed into the pita. The meat was fall apart tender and seasoned very nicely. The pita was soft and pillowy, just the way you want it, and the tzatziki flavorful with dill and cucumber. I was instantly transported back to Greektown in Chicago where sandwiches overflowing with juicy gyro meat, tzatziki sauce, onions and tomatoes were some of the messier meals you could have, and oh so very good. Oopa!!! The fries were tasty, crispy, not mealy inside, and not overly salted but appropriately so. In fact, everything I had -- even the onions and tomatoes on the sandwich -- seemed extremely fresh. Gyro Palace is a walk up and order at the counter, and fill your drink (refills are free) (and they have the good hybrid crushed/cubed ice, not large cubes!!). It's nice and clean with large booths. They served me right away and seemed very appreciative when I told them how good the food was. It seems like a family business. I forgot to take a photo when I was served because I was so excited to taste the sandwich. But as I approached 3/4 done and had slowed down, I took a photo. You can guess how large the sandwich was by looking at the 1/4 of it left. -- And I ate a lot of the meat out of it on top of that. I had to tap out about 90% done (but I finished the meat). I'll definitely go back there for lunch. They also have many Chicago favorites on the menu in addition to their Greek items: Chicago style hot dogs, polish sausage, beef sandwiches, etc. I look forward to trying more of their menu. This is my go-to place for Greek food. There's plenty of parking. It's in a strip mall, so it has those laid-back vibes. The employees are super friendly And the food is really good. It's not extremely greasy, which unfortunately some Greek places are. I've only tried a few things but every time I go, I think about trying something new but I'm not interested. I get the gyro plate. You get a generous amount of rice and gyro meat. The pita the type that you hope for, not some dry whole wheat pita. I believe it is with regular all purpose flour, so if you're trying to go "whole wheat" maybe skip the pita. The rice is always fluffy and soft like rice should be, without being overcooked. It's not too salty, and it pairs well with the meat. The gyro meat is cut into pieces, but they aren't all dried out or anything like that. It's tender, tasty and thinking about it right now makes me crave it more. Their tzatziki sauce is thick, so it's not a thin sauce that just drips all over your hands if you're trying to eat a gyro wrap. It's also enough food for 2 meals. Yasssss, saving money. The salad they have with the plate is always so good. You get the salad mix, chunks of feta, slices of tomato, green pepper, olives, pepperoncini, and onions. The dressing is flavorful as well but not overpowering so you still get to taste all the veggies in the salad. Kids meals: The chicken nuggets were a little salty, but sometimes that happens. It came with fries and a drink and some oreos. Idk if they still do the Oreos, but the food itself is still good. This is one of the kiddo's fave locations. We don't get out to the west valley very often but today we were out that direction taking clients on a house hunt for real estate in the area. This is one of there go-to places so it was our lunch stop. It's a clean, counter service restaurant, with friendly staff and the food came out quickly and was served to us at our table. I'm picky about my ice tea and theirs was good...tasted fresh. The gyro salad my husband and I had was good lunch meal. My salad was $12.95 and I was full when we left. This place is just ok. I unfortunately found out my favorite gyros restaurant down the street now closes on Sundays, and I "needed" to eat a gyros before heading back to SoCal. I saw this restaurant advertised by the sign swinger at the corner of the street, which read "lunch specials." I thought great, they got lunch deals. Nope. The girl at the front counter pointed out to their regular electronic screen menu when I asked about their lunch special. This was no "special," but their regular menu. Pretty deceiving IMO. A gyros, fries and a fountain drink was about $14.99, which is $4 more than my regular place down the street. The food was decent. The gyros was packed with meat and tasted decent. The fries were also decent but it was a small portion. Overall this place is middle of the road. I probably wont be back. read more

My husband went in to pickup the food and said the guy I assume the owner was really friendly. He knows my love for baklava and saw some in the fridge and bought one too. The salad was perfect!! Got a delivery today and OMG YUCK! I got a gyro, Greek fries and baklava. The gryo AND the baklava were DRIPPING in oil! Surprisingly the fries weren't (the only thing actually cooked in oil) those were dry and seemed like they had been sitting a while. This order was so much money and all of it went into the trash. The cashier was tired by the look of her face as I came into eat around 8:45 pm. I was not aware that it was that late and when I ordered the gyro plate to dine in I was asked if I would be ok w it in a to go box because it's late. I responded no because I do not like to eat out of styrofoam and asked for her to put it on a plate please. The body language and the stare that I got from my response was immediately off putting followed by a flat "ok I can do that...or something of the sort muddled after saying ok." ( it was hard to make out what she said because she looked down while replying.) It might seem like an overreaction to some but after letting the interaction settle for a minute or two I did not want to eat there. It's the hospitality industry. Not the you came here to get this so take it how we give it industry. Very disappointed that the whole situation escalated to a ten minute ordeal calling the owner for a refund which was given but was short at first. So get this, I left a 20% tip in the purchase and when the manager printed out the receipt and gave me my refund it was short of the tip. I let her know and that caused her to speak up again and say "the receipt says 17.50! You're just making your night more difficult." I responded I can see that but I clearly recall leaving a 20% tip and the total being 20 plus change. So I had to walk to the car, get my phone and show her the transaction was what I had claimed. Every inch was a fight with the lady manager on shift. Telling her I didn't want the food. Asking for a refund. Then trying to explain the body language and the tone she had expressed which made me feel unwanted bounced off her unregistered which she responded that she knew what she said and she knows how to control these situations. Long story short it was a very rude interaction. Don't expect people to pay for your frustrations and ill feelings from your day when you throw it on there plate. If you end up reading this I wish you well and for you to understand that I wasn't trying to provoke you at any point but the dismissal of what I was saying as to how you came off paired with you inserting the way you thought it went which was then followed by you'll have to call the owner tomorrow for a refund played on me as if you had zero consideration for me. I enjoyed the food last time. I would have appreciated some courtesy in the exchange and now I am hesitant to get a plate there again. read more

We happened to check this out for delivery. It's been great so far. Our delivery order has been correct so far. Food is delicious. Chicken salad is packed full of juicy chicken. Gyros are good as well (beef). The plates are plenty, love the rice and bread is thick and good. While I realize prices are high, it's pretty standard these days. You may save a few bucks somewhere else, and for the most part either eat in or out it's pricey everywhere. read more
