Pills, injections, procedures, etc. are not the answers. So many times a healthy foods or Mediterranean theme restaurants satisfied that 'healthy' aspect, but it is a hit-or-miss experience. Charcoal Grill is average sized inside (there is no outside dining) and a bit sparse, but they have great service, is clean and offers plenty of selections on their menu. Not bad. Walked in to a clean comfortable ambiance with some traditional music in the background. Quickly greeted and seated. Friendly staff. As soon as you walk in you can smell and see the meat roasting on coals in a giant skewer. My whole party enjoyed their food and raved about the taste. (3.5) We ordered from this place through Door Dash recently. My first gripe is that the door dash menu isn't set up for you to choose rice or fries as a side even though it says you can choose. So that was annoying. My second gripe is that this food is pricey!!!! My husband and I both ordered the mixed Shawarma plates, which were $35 each. The food was delicious though. Third gripe is that the $8 single piece of baklava we ordered was not that good. It was nice and flakey, but it wasn't very sweet. I would not recommend the baklava The rest of the food was good though, so maybe dining in would be the better option. But it's not cheap. read more

My brother recommended Charcoal Grill several times to me . He said the portions were huge. I thought we would give it a try for lunch. We both had their Shawarma on a pita. I had Chicken and my brother had Beef. We also had a couple of Falafel rings. The Shawarma was very good. The Falafel rings were good too. The portion was not what I thought was huge . Omg. When you walk in, you can smell the smokiness of the meat and the wood. You can tell they are passionate about how the food is. We went at an "off peak" time, so with some restaurants it's hit or miss if the food/presentation would be good. The food looked delicious and it was. I got the beef schwarma plate. It was huge. I was starving and I knew on sight it was going to last at least 2 meals. The salad is exactly how you'd want, lots of toppings, everything was fresh. Yassss. The pita, super tasty, it was soft, had a good amount of tenderness and chew to it. Hummus-balanced, they finished it with olive oil, which adds to the richness, it had a good amount of tahini, I don't like hummus when it has too much in it. Rice-not too salty, flavorful, cooked to a good texture Beef schwarma meat- tender, flavorful and delicious. Garlic sauce- vampires stay away (lolll sorry I had to say it), this garlicky sauce is a nice compliment to the beef and it also tastes good dipping the pita in it. It doesn't shy away from the garlic, and it seems similar to a Mayo but not as thick. He got the beef schwarma combo, a beef schwarma wrap, fries & soda. The fries are crispy and cooked nicely but not that many places mess up frozen fries. Service was nice, incorrect soda was brought but we didn't care to fix it, it was not a big deal We got food to go, a kids meal with the chicken schwarma and fries, she said it was so good. She gave me a bite of the chicken and I thought it was pretty good, but still liked the beef better. She liked the chicken better than the beef bc I brought it home and she had some too. My husband and I came here really late on a Friday night. It was nice to have this as an option for a late night meal. We got the hummus flight, the mix kabob/tikka plate, and the mix shawarma plate. We both really enjoyed the original and spicy hummus. The jalapeño hummus was alright, but it wasn't spicy. The lamb was our favorite of all the meats we got. The rice was very good, we definitely recommend it over the fries. I didn't give a 5 star rating because the shawarma and chicken kabob was a little dry. On a recent trip, I found an amazing Turkish kebab place and wanted to find a local place that had similar food. Charcoal Grill was a great find. Right up front when you walk in are two rotating spits slowly turning juicy meat over charcoal. The menu has lots of options but we selected a skewer trio and a mixed shawarma plate. Whoa! Hugely generous servings on a pizza-sized plate. We barely made a dent in our portions. The great news about that is...leftovers! The staff was attentive and friendly but but not hovering. The tables were somewhat basic restaurant quality tables but this could easily be a upscaled later as the tasty food was suitable for a tablecloth and cloth napkins -- though I'm sure it would be messy and expensive to manage a linen bill with rice and olive oil in abundance!
