    Chicken shawarma and garlic fries.
    Brenda K.

Saw the 5 star rating and thought yes. Was a bit disappointed. When we ordered we weren't told for the beef kabobs it was a 15-20 minute wait. We saw multiple people come in and out while we were sitting there. The kabobs was ok but not fantastic. The chicken shawarma was ok I would have loved a bit more sauce. The garlic fries were tasty.

The food was delicious and the portions are great for what you pay. The place is pretty chill when they first open but there is a lot of traffic once lunch time hits. The workers are nice and friendly!!! Would definitely go back.

This is probably one of my most favorite places for lunch! They offer such a wide selection of dishes and the portions are huge. I often will order the falafel in some violation whether it be on a pita, plate or recently I've loved the salad. The salad comes with your choice of protein , a pita bread and dressing, do yourself a favor order extra garlic sauce and tzatziki! I ordered this time via Uber Eats but usually I order online and pick up in person. They have a loyalty program as well so make sure you join for future savings.

It's located within a shopping strip. It's a nice place to stop for a quick bite. You order at the counter, take a number and the food is delivered to the table. I ordered a falafel plate with Greek salad and Greek fries. The falafels were extra crispy just like I like then. Likewise the fries were hot and delicious. The staff were very attentive and they made sure tables were cleared and cleaned after each visitor. Accessible parking and entrance.

I've been to Pita Kitchen in Avondale several times now, and each visit has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a warm, inviting dining space that sets the tone for a great experience. When I stepped up to the counter to place my takeout order, I was greeted with genuine friendliness. Each time, the staff took the time to walk me through the menu when I couldn't decide what to get. The service is consistently great, and the food..? Absolutely delicious. Since moving to the west side of Phoenix, Pita Kitchen has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area!

I've never had Chicken Shawarma with fat on itl

went in Saturday night to grab dinner. I ordered the chicken plate and my wife got the kabobs. She's been here before and suggested we go since I'm a big fan of chicken shawarma and Mediterranean food. I want to point out that I almost never leave reviews. I just can't shake this experience because I genuinely love shawarma and usually get a chicken shawarma plate with double rice in San Diego every couple of weeks for my family. My plate was about a 1.3/10. The chicken tasted sour, and meat can taste that way when it's starting to spoil. It was honestly one of the worst-tasting plates I've had. My wife's kabobs were decent with no complaints, but I felt the need to write this to get it off my mind. For a $45 meal, it just wasn't worth it. This is coming from someone who's a die-hard chicken shawarma lover from San Diego, where the cost of living is so much more but somehow also cheaper, which blows my mind.

We stopped in Pita Kitchen on July 4th after a day of shopping. Honestly we didn't have high expectations, we were hungry and it was close by. I was in the mood for something other than pizza and burgers. We underestimated this establishment!!! We walked in and it's a small dining room with tables and a few booths. The menu wasn't super huge but had some great options (my gf is vegetarian so I love that they had the veggie pita) the prices were right on point so we ordered. Man.... The food was SOOOOO good. The wait wasn't bad, and the food came out piping hot. You know it was freshly made. The French fries reminded me of high school, you know the good battered French fries?? The veggies in the pita were grilled but still crisp and delicious. The falafel was the best I ever had, moist inside with a crisp outside. Not dried out like most! And My rice bowl was huge for $14! And came with all the toppings. The garlic side sauce was delicious as well. I had to get extra before we left. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. I will 100%. Be back!

Stirred up rice bowl with chicken schwarm. Rice was not seasoned today very not yellow.

Rice bowl with chicken kabob and chicken Schwartz mixed up. Today not sure if the cook was missing but the food had no regular flavor. Service is always good. The place is clean as well.

I came in for lunch, and I was really satisfied with what I ordered. I got the lamb plate as recommended by the staff. Honestly, their food portions is worth the money. The lamb was seasoned and not dry. The plate came with two sides of your pricking, I went with the salad and rice. The salad was fresh and their salad dressing was really tasty. I ordered an extra side of pita bread and hummus. Their hummus had more black pepper than I was used to, it gave it an extra kick.

It's so much better now under the new owners. 100% recommended. Big portions at a fraction of the price of other Mediterranean restaurants

His consistent table check-ins were pleasant and professional. The meal satisfied my cravings, and yes, as I mentioned before, I'll be back again. Updating My Previous Review…read more I'm incredibly disappointed to be updating my review because my previous visits here had been wonderful. This was my 4th visit, and I've recommended Zeta's Grill to others because they had always done such a great job accommodating my severe dairy allergy. Unfortunately, tonight was completely different. Food & Service Almost immediately I noticed things weren't the same. I even politely asked our waiter if the owners had changed because the food and service felt so different from my previous visits. I ordered my usual dinner platter, but: * The lamb came out plain with no onions or bell peppers, even though the menu photo shows both. * The baba ghanoush was missing the pomegranate seeds. * The hummus was much less seasoned than before. * My salad arrived covered in feta cheese despite my dairy allergy. * My grape leaves appetizer never came until I reminded them. * I never received the pita bread that normally comes with the meal and had to ask. * Halfway through dinner they remembered I had ordered saffron rice for the table. It felt like our table kept being forgotten all evening. Food Allergy I have a life-threatening dairy allergy, and I mentioned it multiple times while ordering because previous visits had always been handled so carefully. As we were leaving, my throat began swelling and my ears plugged up. I immediately asked if anything I had eaten contained dairy, including the pita bread. Our waiter went to ask the kitchen. The cook appeared visibly irritated about being questioned, retrieved the pita packaging, and read the ingredients aloud. The second ingredient was whey. By then I had already eaten about half the pita. I had to sit down by the register and use my EpiPen before I could leave. Our Waiter I want to give credit where it's due. Our waiter seemed genuinely concerned and apologized once he realized what had happened. He told me I wouldn't have to pay for my meal. I chose to pay anyway because I didn't feel this was his fault. My frustration is with the kitchen and management, not with him. Other Issues My friends were told their meals included one side, including Greek fries, but were later charged a $4 upcharge. Another friend paid $8 for only two pieces of baklava. When she politely questioned it, the employee became dismissive and insisted only the assorted version came with a full container. After we left, we checked the restaurant's own menu, which lists the assorted baklava for $7.95 for the full container, making the explanation even more confusing. Final Thoughts I brought three friends because I wanted to share one of my favorite restaurants with them. Instead, they watched me have an allergic reaction serious enough to require my EpiPen in the parking lot. I've always spoken highly of Zeta's Grill, which makes this even harder to write. I sincerely hope management reviews their allergy procedures. A food allergy isn't a preference--it can become a life-threatening emergency in minutes.

A family owned sit-down full service place that is quaint, charming and welcoming. We ate in, but there were more carry out orders going than diners. We went after seeing the other good reviews and, as always, Yelpers usually don't miss. We were quickly welcomed and seated. The menu is straightforward, with a nice mix of Mediterranean foods. We had the Chicago gyros, chicken schwarma, beef kofta, lemon rice soup, tabbouleh salad and fries. All were great, but the fries were outstanding! I've eaten a lot of fried potatoes in my life, and really none better. They rounded out the meal-hot, fresh, crunchy and soft. Perfect! If I had to have a "complaint," the lemon garlic aioli on the schwarma was a bit too much, get that "on the side" so you can manage that. Otherwise a great meal. OPA!

When we got our food, the wraps were TINY- we both requested "no tomatoes" (how I normally order), but the wraps came out like half the size. ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. I cannot justify paying as much money as I did for such a tiny wrap. I saved half and took a picture. In hindsight, I should've taken a photo of the tiny portion on the tray. It looked like a pressed egg roll. Food: delicious BUT OVERPRICED FOR THE TINY PORTION. Service: always friendly, but really guys? This wrap is embarrassing. Ambiance: chill. This must've been what I paid for- cuz the food was a child's portion. Conclusion: thank goodness I ordered some of everything- otherwise, we'd still be hungry. My friends enjoyed the flavors but were not impressed with the size of their wrap. Especially because they ripped off some of the extra wrap, which made it smaller. Doubt I'll be back unless they fix their portions. For real, I feel ripped off. Updated: decreasing from 5 stars to 2.
