The korma arrived with tender lamb, a fragrant sauce, and a delicious taste. All items are à la carte, so I ordered rice and garlic naan to accompany the meal. The portion of non-and rice for me was more than enough; I could've used more of the lamb curry. Next time, I will get the noun with the curry. Unfortunately, they no longer have the buffet, but I could see how it would be a great hit if they brought it back. Service was quick and friendly. The food was fantastic, and the staff was beyond friendly. I had the shrimp tandoori, I ate an hour ago and I'm still so happy. So much in the flavor and delectable spices. I like the staff. The food is inconsistent. I always order the same dishes; Baingan Bartha, Dahl Maharani, Bhindi Masala. Appetizer is Veggie Pakora which is usually too greasy. My guest had Tikka Masala and it looked bright red-orange. I'm guessing they use food coloring and possibly ketchup. It's always disappointing when Indian restaurants use bright food coloring. It takes away from the authenticity. Sometimes it's more more liquidy and other times, there's a lot of peppers and onions added. The naan is okay. SO. TASTY!!!! So glad me and bae finally decided to check this place out. It's decently priced. You have to order rice separately but it ended up being around the same price we spend at other Indian restaurants that have rice included with entrees. Stopped in as a single diner for dinner. The place was not that busy. I wanted to sit at the bar and have a beer along with my dinner however I guess their bar is only for drinking so they sat me on a table and I just enjoyed water with my meal. I could've still had a beer, but it just bothered me that they wouldn't let me sit at the bar and eat food with my drink. And I didn't wanna be our separate of my food. The food was just OK I asked for a medium spicy, and it wasn't very hot at all. I ordered an appetizer and while the items listed were included, the quantities listed were not matched to the menu. An employee at Jersey Mike's in Surprise told us to try this place and said it was his favorite Indian food. I am a huge Indian food fan and it is my personal favorite, so of course, I listened. And, he was right! The food here is outstanding. We tried a variety of dishes and drinks: chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, beef samosas, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, cheese naan, basmati rice, and mango lassi. Everything we had was delicious and so warm and comforting. There was so much flavor and the meat was so tender. The tandoori chicken was AMAZING. I ate every single piece and wished for more because it was that good. I love that they offer beef on their menu because you do not often see that. It is beautiful inside and the vibes and ambiance were great. The service was excellent! We were greeted, everyone was so nice and friendly, and we were checked on multiple times and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. Our experience here was really great! My husband and I tried a few different dishes but our favorite was definitely the lamb korma. The lamb was very tender and juicy and they give you quite a bit of meat. We also tried the basmati rice which was surprisingly very flavorful, which I wasn't expecting. I really love that they use glass and not cheap plastic for drinking water and any other drinks you order. Our server was very kind and gave us great recommendations. One thing to note, we were astonished by the pricing, it is VERY REASONABLE Overall, our experience was great and I'm looking forward to bringing my sister here as she LOVES Indian food too!! read more

I've given India Garden a few tries, but it's been a mixed experience. The prices are noticeably higher than most other Indian restaurants in the area, which would be easier to overlook if the service and accuracy matched. Unfortunately, they frequently get orders wrong--especially when it comes to spice levels or the type of meat ordered. On more than one occasion, the mild dish came out packed with heat while the one that was supposed to be spicy had none at all. Or you order chicken and get paneer or vice versa. If they could consistently get the orders right, I'd be much more likely to return. For now, it's a gamble I'm not eager to take again. My family and I have since moved onto another establishment with better quality. Be cautious if you're dining with a group and ordering different spice levels--chances are, they'll get swapped. read more

Food is never consistent. Sometimes they ask if what level of spice You want 1-10 or offer not hot, mild or hot. And weirdly enough, hot doesn't get you any spice. Yet 10 does? Why not offer the spice levels consistently? Also food has gotten more and more bland over the years. read more

Sad to say one of the worst Indian food I've ever had in the US. My parents and I visited India Garden a week ago during our visit to Phoenix. Chicken biryani : tasteless, it's just white rice mixed with bland chicken curry. Very bad. It's a joke to call this biryani. It's also seems like heated in the microwave Palak paneer : sloppy chunks of paneer in badly cooked palak Garlic naan: it was not well cooked and seemed raw dough Mango lassi; alright nothing special Felt it was super pricy for the Phoenix cost of living as well. This spot @indiagardenaz was recommended to hubs by some work colleagues who enjoy Indian food. When we arrived, I could see by the sign on the door that @yelp @yelpphoenix had already discovered this spot and knew it would be good. They had a Buffet bar, but it wasn't open while we were there. We enjoyed a late Saturday lunch that was very filling and full of warmth and fresh flavor. We ordered: Starters Vegetable Samosa, chicken pakora, vegetarian assorted snacks Entrées Chicken ginger kebab Lamb korma Saag Paneer Lamb biryani Naan & Garlic naan basmati rice (x2) Service was great. The servers were very attentive and the food was brought out quickly. Everything was served family style, so it was fun to get a taste of all of the dishes. Everybody agreed that the chicken ginger kebab was the best, with very tender large chunks of chicken breast on steaming, sautéed veggies and ginger. Each customer is asked what their desired spice level is for their dish on a scale from 1 to 10. They warned us not to go above a five or six lol. We had lots of leftovers for dinner. I'd love to return soon. Seating is plentiful there are large tables and smaller, so it can be good for a group or an intimate setting. There's also a bar. read more

My first experience wasn't the greatest but I would come back to try other items. I got the garlic naan, veggie samosa and chicken biryani. The naan bread was completely burnt. I couldn't salvage it and had to toss it. The veg samosa were great and they come with a spicy and sweet sauce. The chicken biryani was okay, large portion which was nice but I have had better and more flavorful versions before. It also didn't have much chicken in it. I had previously shared that the India Garden was A1 in all aspects, this is not now true unfortunately. It has happened on a couple of occasions now that when ordering the Chicken pakora, it is completely rock hard and not palatable!!! I have brought this substandard food quality matter to the attention of the restaurant ownership to no avail! The promise was to fix this quality matter, lasted a couple of weeks and then back to the poor quality! On top of which, the restaurant pricing has just increased by approximately 10%. The quality goes down and the pricing goes up, not a recipe for success I'm afraid. I had high hopes for the India Gardon to be my Indian cuisine of choice, it is not to be!!! read more

Stopped in last Saturday and I am still thinking of their naan! We arrived shortly after 5:00. Parking is not an issue and it's a pretty large restaurant. We were seated immediately, waters came out quickly, and drink orders were taken shortly after. They have an extensive menu. The mango lassi was perfect: thick enough that it took awhile to drain from the straw, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Their non-vegetarian assorted snack platter was a good beginning. My sister enjoyed her beef shish kabob, and I the beef korma. It was a bit odd, though, that the rice was a side dish and was not included in the meal. I am used to it being included, but not a deal breaker. The cheese naan was hot with a large amount of cheese and let me say the beef korma / rice lasted me for four days after. Granted, we did have the naan and appetizer platter so I did not eat a lot of the korma, but I sure enjoyed my four days of lunches later! :-) Despite not eating my meal completely, we still ordered dessert. The pistachio kulfi was awesome, and the rasmalai as well. Man, I should have ordered a mango lassi and rasmalai to-go. The ambiance is perfect for a night out, fine dining with cloth table napkins, silverware and glassware, the music was on a TV not blasting just enough to hear the newest Indian videos of today. The service outstanding very polite and courteous. We were created the moment we came in seated promptly and drinks and food followed at a good pace. I wanted to like this place. I know Indian food, my experience was disappointing. The lamb biryani had an unpleasant aftertaste. Chicken tikka masala also did. Chicken Makhani was a stew, with broken bits of meat. Samosas were bland and the meat it was stuffed with was dryyyyyy. Way too overpriced!!!!! I'm very disappointed. We've tried many places & the food quality at this place definitely sticks out as top notch. If you're looking for good Indian & don't mind spending a few bucks to get~ then come here.
