Greek salad with steak !
Alfredo L.

This Mediterranean restaurant just opened its doors in a very nice still in construction commercial plaza. Plenty of parking. Very nice venue. Menu offers many choices. All the proteins are cook at the moment. Place order at the register , seat down and a sever will bring the food to the table. I recommend this place if you want to eat a very delicious , healthy food.

Greek salad with Chicken Shawarma

Upon walking into the restaurant there's a barcode that can be scanned to view the menu. There are also barcodes on all of the tables. Once I decided what I wanted, I was greeted with a warm welcome which was very pleasing. I ordered the Greek Salad with Chicken Shawarma and it was really good! I was a little hesitant to try the pink dressing that came with it when I first saw it but it added a great flavor to the salad!! For my drink I had what I think is pink lemonade, but it was very refreshing and good! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I feel that it would be beneficial to label the drinks next to the fountain drinks and teas and although my salad was good the chicken was a bit dry. Other than those two minor things, this is a great place to eat and I'll return. ;)

Gyro, pita chips and cilantro hummus.

Food is always great, if you've been to the Avondale location you will be delighted with this one as well as neither disappoint. Service is top notch and it always feels like a place you want to come back to. Cilantro jalapeño hummus is a must try.

Owner is very nice and they are not stingy with the portion. The food is delicious. Especially the jalapeño hummus yummy.

We used to go down to the Avondale location 25 miles away during rush hour traffic just to enjoy the amazing food!

My husband and I decided to make the drive from the East Valley to try Pita Kitchen, and when we…read morearrived the place was packed -- usually a great sign. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We ordered and were asked if we were dining in or taking our food to go. We said dining in, but there were no open tables inside (around 12 total) and zero tables available outside. We ended up waiting in the back for a table to open while staff repeatedly walked around looking for our table number, never once asking if the order might be ours. After several minutes, someone finally asked if we were number 11. We were. Once seated, the decor was cute, but service was mediocre at best. The food was the biggest disappointment. It had been a while since we last visited, and it's definitely not the same. The rice was bland and flavorless, and the gyro meat tasted like frozen, reheated product -- very dry, with the main flavor being salt. Instead of the fresh-carved gyro meat you typically see on a vertical rotisserie at most Greek restaurants, the kitchen area was closed off, so there was no visible preparation or carving station. For nearly $50, the experience simply did not match the price. Between the disorganized service and underwhelming food, we won't be back. Next time, we'll stick to supporting East Valley Greek spots that offer better quality and value. I want to preface, this place used to be good. Not sure of ownership changed, but save yourself a trip and find something better and more affordable

Good prices for quantity and quality. I enjoyed the traditional gyro wrap and ate it there. I've never had a wrap with so much gyro meat! You may wait an extra minute for your food but it's worth it. The pita is perfect and it all came out really hot.

Unacceptable quality and service - Long-time customer leaving…read moreTo Management, I am writing to formally express my shock and disappointment regarding the order I received today. As you know, I have been a loyal client for years, consistently ordering the same $50 meal multiple times a week. I know exactly what this order looks like. Today, however, the portion size was frankly insulting--it contained barely 25% of the standard meat portion I have received for years. When I called to address this error, the employee acknowledged she knew my order but justified the lack of food by stating that "meat is expensive" and suggested I pay for extra protein. Let me be clear: I was not asking for "extra." I was asking for the standard portion I have paid for hundreds of times. Attempting to charge full price for a quarter of the product--and then dismissing a loyal customer's valid complaint--is bad business. Because of the quality decline and the complete lack of accountability from your staff, you have lost a frequent and loyal client today.
