Super friendly staff and high quality meat! The pita tasted so fresh and was very soft. The gyro looked incredible and tasted even better (this was without veggies). The Tzatziki sauce was incredible. One star off because the inside of the restaurant was a bit lackluster, I wasn't a fan of the rice as they took basmati rice and seasoned vs rice pilaf, and it is on the pricier side. They also charge for extra sauces if needed. It is a hole in the wall vibe. Overall loved the gyro and would definitely go back for that! read more

Unacceptable quality and service - Long-time customer leaving To Management, I am writing to formally express my shock and disappointment regarding the order I received today. As you know, I have been a loyal client for years, consistently ordering the same $50 meal multiple times a week. I know exactly what this order looks like. Today, however, the portion size was frankly insulting--it contained barely 25% of the standard meat portion I have received for years. When I called to address this error, the employee acknowledged she knew my order but justified the lack of food by stating that "meat is expensive" and suggested I pay for extra protein. Let me be clear: I was not asking for "extra." I was asking for the standard portion I have paid for hundreds of times. Attempting to charge full price for a quarter of the product--and then dismissing a loyal customer's valid complaint--is bad business. Because of the quality decline and the complete lack of accountability from your staff, you have lost a frequent and loyal client today. read more

Our granddaughter, daughter, and son in law were visiting for the holidays. After going to Dreamcatcher park nearby, we were ready to have some dinner at Pita Wraps. We had a side order of Falafel pieces (4), Chicken Gyro plate,Lamb Gyro plate,Falafel wrap ,and Chicken Gyro wrap. Plenty of good food for everyone. My only complaint is getting charged a service fee (3%) for using my credit card. More and more eateries , gas stations, etc. are passing the fees to the consumer. Seems this location changed ownership. For some reason a lot of locals are unhappy with that change. I, however, am happy! I ate here a couple of times over the years but honestly, if I was craving a gyro I'd go way out of town to get one. Because this is an area that surprise is lacking in. No place in surprise has very good Mediterranean/ Greek food. That's all changed now! After hearing the complaints of other I decided to give it a try. Why not. I was craving a gyro and didn't have a whole lot of time. So glad I didn't listen to the nay-sayers who are afraid of change just because it's change. My gyro was fantastic! Just like the old days way before I ever landed in surprise. Perfectly cooked Kronos on the spit, great pita. And the best part? Their Tzatziki!! It was really, really good. First time here and was pleased with the menu and the staff. We ordered to take away but could have easily stayed. Generous portion of meat in the gyros and very tasty. The Greek salad was basically iceberg lettuce a couple of slices of tomatoes and cucumbers a couple olives and feta. Still tasty with the dressing, extra tzatziki and pita. Will I order here again? Stumbled upon this place and it exceeded any and all expectations. The service was amazing. Everyone is so friendly, thorough, attentive and helpful. Feels like a family shop. Good prices for quantity and quality. I enjoyed the traditional gyro wrap and ate it there. I've never had a wrap with so much gyro meat! You may wait an extra minute for your food but it's worth it. Great tasting pita wraps and plates. Our go to spot since it's near by. The wait time is a bit long but it's worth it (since it's hard to find locally), but just don't come when you are in a rush or extremely hungry and need to eat quickly. But they say good things come to those who wait, so be patient and enjoy some good food. read more

Saturday evening around 5p. I was the only customer. I ordered a chicken gyro combo and pistachio baklava. The wrap came with French fries although the menu said the combo came with fries and rice or salad. When I asked for rice, the lady said it was fries only. The sandwich was good but not great. It fed the gyro itch I had lol. The establishment was clean and tidy. There was self serve fountain drinks with gender specific bathrooms. Those were clean also. The baklava was so good I ordered a piece to go for a late night sweet tooth. read more

Great little place, super well run! We came on a Tuesday afternoon so nobody else was here, but they should have been! Great food for a great value! Everything seemed super fresh and they make everything right in front of you. I ordered a chicken gyro wrap and fries and my husband got the gyro platter, both were excellent and had SO much food. The service was great! We got take out and it was super quick, the lady who took my order and served us was also super kind and personable! Very clean establishment and honestly great marketing and signage for a local place. I thought it had to be a chain based on how professional their website and menu looked, but nope. Portions sizes have MAJORLY decreased in size. Originally it was a great value. The pic w salad was the 1st time I went and got the Chicken Gyro platter as s. After that I get double rice and pay $4.25 for EXTRA chicken. The pic with the 2 platters in it shows TONS of chicken and a very FULL container of rice/chicken like the one w salad without the extra chicken but still a ton of meat. The last couple of times I've been here the portions of rice and chicken have decreased tremendously. This time I said something and had pics to prove in the past this SMALL portion of chicken isn't as much as the one w the salad that was just a regular portion. The manager (possibly the husband of Ash...the owner and sweetheart) was very dismissive and didn't care when I said I would go elsewhere from now on for my Gyro fix. These places keep popping up. He could have simply given me more chicken today and said moving forward this is what to be expected in portion sizes. Because for $21.66 for CHOPPED up chicken and rice I would expected more food. This was at the top of the list here for a quick bite in Surprise, AZ so we decided to try it out. **Disclaimer - if you don't want to eat at a place where the workers are not wearing masks, avoid this one. My co workers and I come here about once a week to get our chicken shawarma fix. There's a combo plate that includes that, Tumeric rice, a Greek salad, and a fabulous piece of pita bread sliced up with a side of taziki for a reasonable price. The owner has our faces memorized and knows exactly what we order and expedites everything when we come in because he knows we are on our lunch break. With a tip, I'd probably still spend less than I do getting a combo lunch at Panera or a poke combo bowl at Tokyo Joe's, and I get soooo much food. The value is worth it to me. The desserts, tiramisu and baklava, look really good here so one of these days we will have to try them. We really enjoy coming here. I encourage you to come here too! If I could give this place a minus stars I would . Went there today and ordered a small Greek salad (8.00) for eight dollars you would expect a somewhat good salad not the case at all. It came in a styrofoam container the size that you would normally use for a small hamburger or a SIDE salad. It had 1 Greek olive, one slice of tomato cut in half a sprinkle of feta and lettuce that was bottom of the barrel, the dressing was disgusting ! This joke of a salad costs 8.00. Not a very good falafel pita. This one was as dry as the Sahara. They used the Tahiti sauce, but it just tasted and acted like peanut butter in your mouth. The falafel it self were not the worst, but should never be sliced. Also, the tomato slices were not ripe and not needed. Try again. read more

Saw some people giving negative comments but we are not locals so can't really say one way or the other if it is better these days or not. I discovered this place when my husband started teaching in the area. I ordered the Gyro Salad and that's what I get everytime since! The salads are huge and their gyro meat is delicious. I also love the Greek Dressing they make. My husband likes the Gyro Pita wrap. The falafel is tasty, I have it in a salad. The fries are amazing as well. Everything tastes made from scratch. Cashier was very nice, warning us that a couple of items we were thinking about take slightly longer prep time. Wow! First time there today and it was exactly what my craving wanted! My husband and i got the Gyro wrap with no tomato and large frys. Very clean inside as well! These are LARGE fries. We did not finish them there and ate them after. I would put a bit more salt on them but regardless, very good and were fresh! The gyro, they sure did make it worth the price! Need a decent gyro? You'll find it here, with delicious and authentic tzatziki to boot. It's an order at the counter spot, with tables and chairs a bit crammed into the space. Granted, I use a large power wheelchair to get around but I still found it difficult. Mid afternoon, wasn't packed. Drinks are self serve from a fountain so I could mix my diet and regular twist. Husband had a grilled chicken souvlaki salad to avoid carbs. He generally hates salad and chicken breast, but with tzatziki on the side he gave it a grudging grin. This was not an indulgent meal, so we ignored the crispy pan of baklava calling us from the counter. I've had it before and it's perfectly tasty, not overwhelming as so many can be. Fries are an add on with sandwiches, but they seem to be pre-coated and probably very processed. We ate maybe less than 1/4 of the order between us. Plenty of platters and Greek classics to choose from. There's definitely better out there but not in Surprise. Some swear by Nick's and Richi's but their food is way too greasy for my taste. Doesn't come close to the Chicago Greek casual restaurants, but Pita Wraps can cover when you need a quick bite. Got an extra 20 minutes? Head to Greek Wraps near Arrowhead for a much more authentic experience. Opa! read more

Counter girl was very nice. Ambiance.....none. Friday late lunchtime but no line. A table of three were waiting for their food when we walked in. I wanted a chicken kabob pita but was told it would take 18 minutes to cook so I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, he had the regular Gyro. Gyro was very good including Tzatziki sauce but the Philly cheesesteak was sad and scanty with what looked like Steak-ums meat, a sprinkle of green pepper and onion and "Swiss cheese food product", not real Swiss cheese. Bread was very good. We ordered and were halfway done when the three-top finally got their food. So the food is cooked fresh (yay!) but it takes time for some items. Price point is a little high, especially $9.50 for the "cheesesteak". Gyros Pita was good so I'll go back and try something else. read more
