I wasn't a fan of the Gyro meat, it was somewhat flavorless, but the fries were good. My wife loved her chicken souvlaki and my son his chicken pita. The staff was very kind and welcoming. My only complaint would have been the music, it was all over, it played Christian rock, then some random rap songs by Eminem, then 90s rock, then more Christian music. Service, quality, and price were all great! We love supporting local restaurants, and they did a fantastic job with our meal. The food was very good for the area - though to be fair, we're foodies from Seattle, so our baseline is pretty high and it's tough not to compare to what we're used to back home. This is a very tasty hummus. You must try it. Hubs loved everything and pretty much ate the whole plate. I have been coming to this place since they opened.The food is very good and the people are friendly. I am a bit disappointed in the change in serving sizes.At first the plates had good portions of rice and salad, so much it was hard to finish.Today there was very little rice and medium amount of salad. There was also no pomegranate seeds on the salad which there used to be. I come here because the food is very good,even though it's pricey. Wanted to try out this place, especially because my friend had said the food was good, but was met with a hostile and toxic environment. The manager was extremely rude, disrespectful, and racist to not only me and my family but to the girl taking my order, who happened to be a friend of mine. In fact, he was yelling at her, in front of everyone, assuming that me and her were sisters, we're not, just both asian. For him to make a racist comment like that not just in general but for everyone, including customers to hear, is extremely unprofessional. Within these few minutes, I immediately lost my appetite. I do not know what kind of place you guys are running, but it seems like an overall very toxic and unprofessional environment. If I'm ordering from the counter and getting my own table, I shouldn't be asked to tip on top of the food price. What you see on the picture menu isn't what you going to get if you order the salmon plate you don't get the vegetables and the salmon they charge you extra for the vegetables, but they don't tell you that then when you pay they charge you 3% for using a credit card but they don't tell you that either. So I got a salmon plate and I got charged $1.50 more for the vegetables which they don't tell you they just charge you then 3% for using my credit card, which they didn't specify they just charge you$55 for two plates $20 each. It is not worth it and it wasn't even that good I do not recommend this place. read more

We weren't planning on going here but happy we did! The service was excellent, explained the menu well since we were new, and definitely answered all our questions! My husband and the soup and the gyro- he enjoyed them both. I had the gyro egg rolls. They were very tasty, but I think it was a texture thing for me - that I don't think I'd order them again. I'd prefer just the gyro because that was outstanding! The restaurant was nice and clean, of course for being new they should be, but they had nice room in there for eating in! The 2 stars is for the food, which my family and I happen to like. It's the attitude of the owner/manager that's a problem for me. I paid for extra tzatziki (which is a rip off, considering it's very tiny & costs $1) and when I checked to make sure it was in my bag, the manager rudely told me " you did not pay for anything extra" not let me check or anything. Then he said, " well, I'll give one at no charge this time" No thank you! Very condescending. I paid for the extra sauces (with my card because I hardly ever carry cash) and even that seemed like an issue. We had the Greek fries and their special "sauce" they put on the fries is a hit- highly recommend. My only suggestion is to get crumbly feta for the fries so it gets all over them. New restaurant on a new street. Hard to get there on 7/24 as 143rd was blocked off for construction. We went in the street near In-and-Out and weaved our way to Pita Kitchen. Excellent tasting & variety. Very QUICK service for the Pita . Price was excellent for the quality of the food. (Lower $ than Greek Palace, but Palace has very nice ambiance.) Pita Kitchen is a smaller place whereas Greek Palace is a restaurant you would attend for a special occassion. We'll go back. read more

I never write reviews but I had to for this place. It was our first time going and WoW we were pleasantly surprised! My mom loved the lentil soup, it tasted very fresh and not overly salty. I got the rice/chicken bowl. It was absolutely delicious!! Even my 1 year old and 3 year old ate all of their food and they are picky eaters. The food came out quickly and staff were friendly. We enjoyed the music playing in the background as my toddlers wanted to dance to it lol. Needless to say, we will be back and are so glad we have a place like this in Surprise! read more
