Updating My Previous Review I'm incredibly disappointed to be updating my review because my previous visits here had been wonderful. This was my 4th visit, and I've recommended Zeta's Grill to others because they had always done such a great job accommodating my severe dairy allergy. Unfortunately, tonight was completely different. Food & Service Almost immediately I noticed things weren't the same. I even politely asked our waiter if the owners had changed because the food and service felt so different from my previous visits. I ordered my usual dinner platter, but: * The lamb came out plain with no onions or bell peppers, even though the menu photo shows both. * The baba ghanoush was missing the pomegranate seeds. * The hummus was much less seasoned than before. * My salad arrived covered in feta cheese despite my dairy allergy. * My grape leaves appetizer never came until I reminded them. * I never received the pita bread that normally comes with the meal and had to ask. * Halfway through dinner they remembered I had ordered saffron rice for the table. It felt like our table kept being forgotten all evening. Food Allergy I have a life-threatening dairy allergy, and I mentioned it multiple times while ordering because previous visits had always been handled so carefully. As we were leaving, my throat began swelling and my ears plugged up. I immediately asked if anything I had eaten contained dairy, including the pita bread. Our waiter went to ask the kitchen. The cook appeared visibly irritated about being questioned, retrieved the pita packaging, and read the ingredients aloud. The second ingredient was whey. By then I had already eaten about half the pita. I had to sit down by the register and use my EpiPen before I could leave. Our Waiter I want to give credit where it's due. Our waiter seemed genuinely concerned and apologized once he realized what had happened. He told me I wouldn't have to pay for my meal. I chose to pay anyway because I didn't feel this was his fault. My frustration is with the kitchen and management, not with him. Other Issues My friends were told their meals included one side, including Greek fries, but were later charged a $4 upcharge. Another friend paid $8 for only two pieces of baklava. When she politely questioned it, the employee became dismissive and insisted only the assorted version came with a full container. After we left, we checked the restaurant's own menu, which lists the assorted baklava for $7.95 for the full container, making the explanation even more confusing. Final Thoughts I brought three friends because I wanted to share one of my favorite restaurants with them. Instead, they watched me have an allergic reaction serious enough to require my EpiPen in the parking lot. I've always spoken highly of Zeta's Grill, which makes this even harder to write. I sincerely hope management reviews their allergy procedures. A food allergy isn't a preference--it can become a life-threatening emergency in minutes. read more

Walked into Zeta's Grill for dinner and immediately got hit with a triple "welcome!" -- not one, not two, but THREE staff members greeting us at the same time. Okay hospitality love that energy. Service was honestly the highlight of the night. Shoutout to Mark Sanchez -- hilarious, super charismatic, and just made the whole experience fun. 5 stars for him . Menu has a ton of vegetarian and vegan options, which I always appreciate. Everything's clearly labeled, and they're super easygoing about modifications -- just talk to your server and they've got you. Food landed around a solid 3.5/4 for me. The pita and olive oil had potential but came out a little stale and cold ..warmed up, that would've been perfect. My veggie entrée was good, just a bit heavy on the salt for my taste. Nothing bad by any means, and it wouldn't stop me from coming back. I'd definitely want to try something else on the menu next time. Under the same ownership, they have undergone some major changes: new decor, new staff, revised menu... and all of these changes seem for the better (not that there was anything wrong to begin with). We stopped here for our first lunch in Phoenix and first-time in Arizona. It was a lunch break from work. It was actually pretty tasty and a good experience. The gyro was tasty. I KNOW for a fact a wrote a review for this place! Like along time ago! And it was such a big review and I talked all the hype of this place and now the review is nowhere to be seen and I'm sad because there's no way I'm going to be able to be as detailed as I was when I went last July. When I say this is one of THE BEST Mediterranean restaurants I've ever been to, I cannot stress it enough. It was so good I was getting all emotional and teary eyed. No joke. The dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) reminded me of my family's. I almost can never find any that remind me of my family's. That fresh juice I had was AMAZING. The tabouleh was perfect. The owner serves as chef and his wife as hostess - a true family establishment filled with warmth and pride. The food was extraordinary -- fresh, deeply flavorful, and wholly authentic Lebanese cuisine. The chef came to our table to introduce himself and ensure everything was perfect. This restaurant was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted warmly by multiple staff members and seated at a large, comfortable table. The ambiance was welcoming and inviting. One of the owners personally took care of us throughout the entire lunch, which made the experience feel even more special. As a thoughtful Valentine's Day touch, my wife and daughter were each given a rose and a Valentine's balloon as we left. We ate here A few months ago and we really did enjoy the food however that day we told our daughter that they were hiring and she got a job the same day. I'm giving a negative review because of the treatment of my daughter who's only 18 This was her first actual job so she had no idea how she should actually be treat treated. They ignored her schedule request multiple times never did the schedule that she needed for school The owner's wife physically took her phone out of her hand as she was walking into work one day she hadn't even clocked in, The owner's wife also smacked my daughter on the back multiple occasions because her back skin was showing when she bent over.
