They opened for lunch this week so we jumped in for our weekly girls lunch. I had a Goat Cheese Salad. Friend had soft shell crab sandwich and the other had a Caesar salad - I have never seen a Caesar like this before. Getting it next time for sure. Service was fast and we were greeted by the owner who was very nice. Food was yummy. This is a great place to go for lunch. It's not fast food or a chain. Love the atmosphere and art is cool too I saw people eating lobster - there are lots of options on the menu. Give it a shot

I have to say that was so impressive and wonderful taste from the French fries from the kids meal to the chicken we order for dinner and Brussels sprouts and the fresh oysters I can highly recommend the restaurant specially to enjoy live music. My husband say we will start coming here every Friday.

Another great meal at Tempo, the hidden gem located in the heart of Verrado. Friendly, professional and attentive service inside of a beautifully designed restaurant with plenty of of bar seating and plenty of table seating with and indoor/ outdoor feel. The food is well cooked, professional plated and full of flavor.

We stopped in for a late night cocktail. What a fantastic area. Service was great. The drinks were in my opinion so expensive and were okay. Two drinks and a dessert were $60+ that's a lot! Super busy and the ambiance was nice.

This was our third visit to Temp Bistro and our last. While the food was good, our service was horrible. Older woman was our waitress. She would disappear for 20 minutes at a time and then would skip our table as she made her way around her area. We had to ask the busboy for water. 20 minutes from the time we finished our appetizer to her taking our dinner order. We had ordered a bottle of wine, we were having to pour our own glasses, then she abruptly came and grabbed the bottle of wine and took off back to the kitchen, the bottle was not empty. Maybe she finished it off herself in the kitchen. It's a shame, we like the food, but for the $500 we spent on the four of us, she ended any enjoyment we had eating our meal.

His face says it all. The food is fantastic.

We celebrated our anniversary at the Tempo Bistro. Every minute was perfection. From the Service to the drinks to the amazing food. It was a perfect night out and the perfect atmosphere. Thank you for making it a memorable anniversary. Well done!

Everyone else chooses the barstools and hightop tables or the patio. We were only outside once, when my ankle was broken and it was tough to get around. But, I digress. Maybe the cozying adds to the delight of our foodie experience at Sip. We don't drink but they make a lovely Shirley Temple that compliments all that chef-made goodness. Her menu is always shifting and we love the creativity. One of the mainstays, though, is the meatball appetizer. The beef is tender and flavorful and the homemade marinara as complimented by a perfect cheese pull. We'll get that and one other item - a charcuterie board, bread and/or veggies and a dip, or some other interesting app. Sometimes we get a salad, but order dressing on the side because we like it light. As lovely as Sip is, I don't know if people are impractical or enamored enough to drive a half hour up a mountain to enjoy that tiny establishment. So, it feels like a happy place to be around locals. Estrella is growing but not so much that we've ever felt crowded out at Sip. It's homey and warm and a relaxing place to feel at home, on our special couch. Please don't sit at our couch. lol

I had several questions about the cocktails, and he was so helpful in guiding me toward the Hemingway's Muse -- which was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, perfectly balanced, and exactly what I was hoping for. For dinner, I went with his recommendation of the steak box tots and OMG... so good! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the box tots were these amazing little mashed potato bites with a crispy outside. Absolute perfection. I rarely order dessert, but at this point I trusted his recommendations, so I tried the ricotta lemon stack. Again -- superb. It was definitely more lemon-forward than I expected, but the presentation was beautiful and the flavors were delightful. Even the bathroom was impressive -- such thoughtful little touches, including flossers! The service, food, drinks, and attention to detail made the whole experience feel special. I highly recommend this quaint little spot and already can't wait to go back!

This was my second time here and if I were basing my review on just the first experience, I would…read moregive the establishment 4 stars, but this visit there was a disappointment in a dish and it was handled very poorly by the manager. I will start by saying it's a shame because this place has real potential! The crafted cocktails are the highlight as they are beautiful, original, and tasty. The food is good for the most part, but some items are overpriced. An example is the bisque cheesecake at $15 as it was on the small side, round about the size of a flan. It was presented nicely w berries, but not worth $15. I am from CA and not even there! The main issue I had was with the ricotta, pesto and tomato jam jar. This was more like pesto, with Ricotta. The Ricotta being listed first by any culinary standard should be the main feature. But the tapered dish had a small amount of ricotta at the bottom, about a fourth, then half the jar full of pesto, then top fourth of tomatoes.(see picture). I couldn't even dig down to get the ricotta and the huge amount of pesto was overpowering. I politely brought this to the waitresses attention by kindly saying I wanted to give some feedback and explained the expectation and that there was very little ricotta and hard to get to it. She handed me a spoon and a plate and I tried in front of her to get to it and said that's not working. She did say she would give the feedback to "them", but did not offer to replace it or fix it. Perhaps offering to bring more ricotta? For the rest of the evening she did not address the situation and I only ate two small bites and sent the entire dish back. At the end of the meal when I saw this was added to my bill, which I should add was $84 plus tip, over $100, w ricotta being $18 for just me not including the other two at the table, I asked if anything could be done about the ricotta dish that I did not eat. She said she would ask, but came back and said her manager said no because this was just my preference!! I felt sorry for the waitress. If the wait staff is not empowered to resolve these issues on their own then the manager should have come to the table! I said okay, paid the bill and left. They lost a repeat customer!! **Contrary to what management stated below, no accommodation was offered or made besides handing me a spoon and a plate. Also, the promise to discuss w mgmt was not followed up on until I received the bill and reminded the waitress which felt like avoidance, 1.5 hours after I sent the dish back. Perhaps there is a communication breakdown or misunderstanding, but my issue was the excessive amount of pesto (a sauce) and small amount of ricotta. Management prefers to argue and defend (without the facts) vs find a solution and humbly accept feedback. I am a manager myself in the luxury market...and customer feedback is at the heart of growth.

Nice wine selections, delicious bites, and friendly/helpful staff. They offer several wine tasting flights (3-2 oz. pours for $19), as well as by the glass or bottle. There are also several non-alcoholic options, as I was unable to imbibe on this visit. WINE & FOOD: My wife tried three different tasting flights, the Diamond (white wines), the Ruby (red wines), and the Amber (dessert wines). My mother-in-law had a glass of the Moscato D'Asti from Piedmonte, Italy ($13), and I had a non-alcoholic Copenhagen Sparkling Tea ($14) and a Diet Coke ($4). We also tried their Spinach & Artichoke Dip ($15) and the Italian Meatballs ($19) and finished it off with the Lemon Berry Mascarpone Cake ($13). Everything was delicious and all selections were perfect for the wine flights we paired them with. Bottle prices were reasonable, and we left with all three of the dessert wines, and a bottle of the Arneis. NOTE: I heard that the Turquoise Wine Bar Glendale has recently been awarded Wine Spectator's 2026 "Award of Excellence". Whether you live in the Phoenix area or are visiting from out of town, I highly recommend that you check this place out.

The moment you walk in, you feel it. The atmosphere is beautiful, warm, relaxing and welcoming. Add in a great wine selection, the fun self-pour experience, beer options and incredible food, and they've created something unique. They first got me on Taco Tuesday. The tacos were so good that after finishing my first order, I immediately ordered another one. That was all it took. Then I brought my wife. As we were walking out after her first visit, she looked at me and said, "I want to have my birthday here." That's exactly what we did and MT Barrel absolutely knocked it out of the park. The owners were genuinely excited to host her birthday and basically took care of everything, which also made me look like an awesome husband! They created a curated wine and food pairing experience for our group, and the food was absolutely incredible. I'm not exaggerating. Everyone had a wonderful time, and people couldn't stop talking about both the food and the overall experience. But maybe the best endorsement came afterward: my wife became a member. Now she's already talking about bringing her friends back to meet great people, enjoy great wine and spend time in a place that feels like part of the community. That's what makes MT Barrel different. You can go for a glass of wine, Taco Tuesday or date night. You can host a special event. You can become a member and make it your regular spot. You're also supporting local owners who are working incredibly hard to build something special for the West Valley. MT Barrel has earned our business, our recommendation and, most importantly, our return visits. Five stars. Go experience it for yourself.
