They're happy hour runs 2 to 5 and is a discount on all draft beers to five dollars and well drinks five dollars. They have several choices for short food during the happy hour. Decided to try a new restaurant in the area for brunch today, and we were genuinely impressed, not only by the food and atmosphere, but especially by the service. This is a beautiful location! We sat outside today. The weather was AMAZING, today! This place sit on top of the community, and you can even see DT Phoenix. 11am was the perfect time for lunch. After church and after golfing, this place fills up pretty quick. The food was delicious! We started with the salmon cakes and the meat topped pizza. Both items were fresh and delicious! Warning: the margaritas are pretty BIG! And I had 2. They were good, too. My friend had 2 sangrias. Our main dishes were of a decent size as well. Scallops atop risotto. And the pastrami sandwich with fries. Neither of us finished our meals. My pastrami sandwich was not the best. It was too much grissel and like fibrous pieces, which was alittle weird to me. Let me say the reason I would go back again and again is for the Ambiance, GORGEOUS views!!!! The food (entree) was good, took too long, but good. My server hyped up the bread pudding, so I ordered it, it was stale and dry, had lots of dry spots in the bread where the custard didn't soak in. I sent it back, which is a first for me when it comes to dessert. I'm visiting from out of town and was really looking forward to dining at The Vic, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. When we arrived, the hostess asked if we preferred to sit inside or outside. I chose outside, thinking that meant enjoying the view and atmosphere. Instead, we waited about 50 minutes only to be seated in the very back outdoor area -- no view, no ambiance. The hostess was not very welcoming, and what bothered me most was the lack of clear communication. I truly wish they would explain to guests that "outside" doesn't necessarily mean the patio with the view. When I mentioned that I would have appreciated that clarification, she told me she had called and explained it was in the back -- which simply wasn't true. I didn't even know there was a back patio area. I did speak with Jeffrey, who was kind and polite, but he only mentioned that he appreciated the feedback. Clear communication and a more welcoming attitude would have made a big difference in this experience. read more

Recently went for lunch with my husband and let me tell you it did not disappoint!! The service was amazing, restaurant inside was so clean and neat and the atmosphere was great. It's a classy, great spot! It's at the golf club so we thought we had to be a member to eat there but we were wrong. You walk in and the views outside are beautiful. You a little up on a mountain and you can see down into the verrado community and golf course. Stunning to say the least. My husband got the standard burger & I got the wings as the table next to us got them and they smelled heavenly. The food was AMAZING, so tasty. I was deciding between the wings or the taco salad. 5 stars for the venue and view. Both day and night views of the valley are unparalleled, making the Vic a great place to bring visitors. The staff is friendly and generally attentive. Cocktails are a bargain. As other reviews have said, the food isn't always outstanding, but like most places, there are some consistently good choices. The wings are always good as is the burger. Salmon is consistently good if maybe a little over medium. Fish and chips are very good as well. The beef stroganoff was a special and my wife really liked it (ordered without mushrooms). read more

Happy hour from 3-5 here was great! We were lucky to make it in time, and got nearly every food item off the happy hour menu. To start, I got the prickly pear Paloma with vodka instead of tequila (personal preference) which was amazing! We got the wings dry rubbed with cowboy seasoning, garlic bread, potato skins, and sliders. My absolute favorite were the wings!! I've been thinking about them ever since, LOL. The sliders were really good too, but the garlic bread wasn't too special. I personally wasn't a big fan of the potato skins, but the bacon on them was good and really Smokey. I also got an espresso martini which wasn't bad, but not my favorite. The ambiance and service here is great. We were able to sit on the patio and watch the sunset over the golf course and mountains. They also had heaters outside for when it gets cold. They have a good looking dessert menu but unfortunately I didn't try any this time. Looking forward to trying more from here! read more

We had members of the CVMA from Southern AZ, Utah and Nevada in attendance. They loved the view the food, the service what an amazing place to hold our event. I was really looking forward to a nice lunch at the Vic! I had out of town guests and automatically thought of the Vic for lunch because of the amazing views, unfortunately that's all we got on this day! Service was terrible, the only time we saw our server was when we arrived and at the end when she brought our check, we had to ask someone else who was cleaning another table for water! My breaded chicken sandwich along with the bread was completely burned, I couldn't ask for another one because server never checked on us! We ordered macaroni and cheese for our little guy and it was not Mac and cheese it was spaghetti with butter! Finally when she came at the end with our check she asked how everything was I showed her my chicken and she said would you like another one? Really? Everyone is done eating! You would think she would have taken it off the check but she did not! Terrible dining experience! I did call the manager afterwards so he's aware and hopefully has a conversation with his help so this does not continue! They did give me a credit for my meal but that didn't make a big difference I just wanted a good enjoyable meal and experience and they failed at that! read more

We enjoyed spectacular views during our visit to The Vic: of the mountains, the resort's golf course, and all of the western Phoenix area. And the food and service were great, too. Our group ordered the Mahi wrap, a flatbread pizza, a BLT, and a turkey sandwich, and each was delicious. The donuts for dessert were a nice way to top off the meal. I love trying to find a new place or stop anytime I'm out and about and if it's local even better. I love Verrado and have spent some time nearby exercising, getting coffee etc so today we decided to stop for a late lunch date at The Vic. What a great view overlooking the golf course as well as towards downtown Phoenix. Parking could be an issue I see when busy, but we had no problems today. Follow the signs to the restaurant. It's easier to see where all the outdoor seating is then head towards the door to enter. This is definitely a local spot with people from the area and the employees seemed to know a lot of them. We decided to sit at the bar as outside was pretty full. Our bartender was amazing. She had a smile on her face the entire time and was so friendly. We had a few drinks. They had Scottsdale Blonde on tap and a few ciders which was great. We ordered the wings since it was happy hour as well as the pulled pork sandwich with fries, a turkey club with a Caesar salad. The food came out pretty quick. Wings had good flavor, but a bit dry. The pulled pork and club were awesome. Good bread, nothing got soggy and a great amount of meat and toppings. My fries were crisp and seasoned well. The salad fell short sadly. It lacked flavor and it looked like they used the worst part of iceberg lettuce, bummer. All in all we had a great time and can imagine how beautiful it is at night. read more

I was greeted by two hostesses with a smile when I came in . I chose to eat at the bar and Isaiah and Amber W helped me a great deal. Amber W helped me with deciding which meal to pick. She made it fun to choose with good product knowledge. Isaiah was friendly and backed up my meal with toasted bread. Bar was clean and ambiance was energetic which reflects the staff. The Vic also offers outdoor dining with great views. You can get almost the same views from inside, depending on where you are seated, if it is light enough outside. This was an absolutely amazing experience! The outdoor seating area is very large and decorated very nicely. The location is amazing, with lots of great views! We ordered drinks and it took over 25 mins to receive. Mother in law ordered a martini that tasted like water and we had to send back. The food wasn't good. Taco salad had one tomato, a small handful of beans and a ton of corn. The Caesar salad with chicken was overly salty and we had to send it back. Went for lunch today. Never have been there thought it would be nice. When we first arrived, we were greeted with it with insight or outside no high nothing we told her inside because it was cold. She sat us down in the back corner by the kitchen. We waited seven minutes for the waitress. We asked her what was good since we've never been there she recommended a pizza of some type and a hamburger we ordered our food. Food was OK not great for the price. French fries were cold. Never got refills on our drinks she forgot about us about 20 minutes ago by I go to the bar and ask her to refill our drinks which she did. As we're waiting to go. She didn't come back. The Vic Bar + Kitchen is located in the FAR west valley in Buckeye. This is an American restaurant and bar with breathtaking views. The better of the two dishes we tried was the plum salad with added salmon. The greens were fresh and the salmon was prepared reasonably well. The green chili macaroni and cheese was very loose like soup. It also had a processed taste to it. But the boneless chicken in it was prepared nicely. Our server was cheerful, pleasant and efficient. Our group of 5 stopped by for lunch and the terrific view. Inside and outside are comfortable and attractive. We had great service from Emiliano who gave us, in paper size, the biggest menus I've seen! Half the table ordered the delicious fish and chips including my wife. I thought I was ordering something small with the ceviche and Caprese flat bread. The ceviche was in a large bowl filled with shrimp and scallops which was delicious. It could have been my lunch. Great bar/restaurant scene. Plenty of drink selections and a great view due to an elevated site. Fairly new in construction with a modern setting. We sat at the bar for lunch, so no drinks, but could tell it would be a great place to have a drink. Bartender and rest of staff were very nice and friendly. We had the Caesar Salad with chicken added and the Caprese Flatbread. Delicious! I would definitely recommend Vic's do lunch and I'd like to come back for dinner one night. read more
