Went to Angela's kitchen for mother's day today with my mom and a group of her seven friends. I have worked in the hospitality industry and medical field and never ever have been treated so RUDE! "by a manager no less."We walked in after making reservations and the manager said she didn't have a table for an hour and my mom responded we had reservations, she responded with well its your fault you didn't tell me how many. I thought I misheard her and asked another in our party did she really just say its your fault? In customer service for over 30 years I never ever had said something so rude. It's common knowledge that the customer is always right. How is this rude person a manager. " karla was her name" She should never be in customer service. Everyone in the party got to our table and we were all very shocked and upset that we had been treated with such disrespect and disdain. Although our waitress her name was Kristie she was top notch very kind and helpful all smiles and professional. Such great food and service but the manager should be fired immediately. I hope someone in corporate reads this!! This manager will rot a business with such unprofessional behavior. If you know me I don't complain I know people have off days. The "New" menus are terrible. They really want you to only order an entire that's $20-$35. The server forgot just about everything I asked for from a water to some extra sauce for the dry burger. Also, the tomato soup literarily tastes like pasta sauce. I really like State 48. So it's sad to see how far Angela's has fallen. Probably won't be back. read more

Food was less than on the Beef Stroganoff. Service was slow but friendly and accurate. My friend loved the Fish and Chips. We sat on their outside patio, beautiful!!! Hummingbirds, the sculpted waterfall, so soothing and beautiful! Prices and selection good. read more

Surprisingly good food, great location, big menu and decent prices. 3rd trip to Angela's and each trip a pleasure. First time we had a party of 12 and service was fantastic Food always as expected, hot, plentiful and customized to order for us with allergies. Fish and chips has to be our favorite, price, portion, malt vinegar, coleslaw (not too dressingy) and hot! This time around I went for a little more healthier 'fish n chips' with a customized variation of their Ahi dish, Ahi and mash Server didnt know if that was a possible combo but they made it work with ease. While waiting took a quick visit to the bar to see what's on tap and was treated to a sample fest of their new selection, they have a new Irisb red that was really bold and flavourful. First time at Angela's. Service was about 1 star. 25 minutes sitting at a table before water/wine arrived. Overall, we all enjoyed out food, it was nothing exception, but it was good. I have eaten there twice in the past 2 months, once for Thanksgiving and then after the New Year on a Friday for fish and chips. The serving for Thanksgiving were very small portions. and the Food was decent. I also had Fish and chips that were terrible uncooked batter next to the cod. I know now why the ratings are so low. I live at the Grand I was hoping the food would be much better, views are great service was just OK. read more

We have eaten at Angela's many times but were really disappointed this visit on 9/11/26. We were greeted with "we have new menus" not hello, welcome, nothing. We sat down and placed one order for wine and another for iced tea. The iced tea came quickly but the wine took 15 minutes because our waitress just found out they were out of that particular wine! On a Friday night they are out of wine! ! We ordered our dinner and again we waited while the servers are running around with their heads cut off trying to wait on customers and also "train" new hires. Not a good idea to do that on a weekend. Our meals came and right away I noticed my entree was different than how I always had it previously. I ordered Chicken Parmesan and rather than serve this dish with ordinary pasta they used Angel Hair pasta! Who in their right mind would serve Chicken Parmesan with Angel Hair pasta. The pasta was so thin and also cut up so you could not even roll onto a fork. Regarding the new menus, I think they are nice to have only one two sided menu. Better to read etc. But unfortunately, what comes with new menus are increased prices.Yes, I agree that everything costs much more today and I do not mind paying for the increase. What I do mind is paying for something that is inferior quality and tastes terrible. What happened here is that they raised prices and decreased portions and seem to be using whatever they have in the kitchen to replace an item that they ran out of. We went there first time in a few years Service was bad, Asked for a salad without nuts, brought them with nuts anyway. We said we would just pick them out. But it became impossible so we said we couldn't eat so server took away without asking if we wanted another. She bought another with a styrofoam container and put on our small table. ???? read more

Cockroach in dinner tonight at 5pm. It was awful. We loved that restaurant. Very sad...it was awful. Even our waitress was disgusted and day into the kitchen with plate and did not come out. We left immediately...we can't return not knowing how the kitchen is handled. It was so gross read more

My husband and I go here quite often. My favorite dish is the Ahi Tuna dinner with rice and veggie. The wasabi mayo makes the dish! And my husband usually gets the Fried Cod dinner with fries. But truly, all of the meals are delicious. If you're lucky enough to get a table by the windows, you can watch the wildlife running around. The rabbits are hilarious when they start boxing with each other. read more

We recently went to Angela's Kitchen was was very pleased. Service was great and very attentive. The views of the golf course kept our attention as well as the wildlife, bunny rabbits, ducks and swans. Very pleasant dining room and great views of the gold course. Highly recommend. read more

We hosted a 94th birthday party at Angela's Kitchen and were never more pleased as were our all our guests. Working with manager Yolanda was so great! She made sure to accommodate all our requests with such a great smile! The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the cocktails. The teriyaki glazed salmon was pretty good. But what I really wanted was the seared ahi tuna dinner. But they were out. (Sad face). We also had the stroganoff and the liver and onions. We finished with the chocolate lava cake. Angela's has a pretty nice menu and nice atmosphere. There are about three other things off the top of my head I want to try.... I've been going to Angela's kitchen for years now. I have enjoyed every meal. The weekend Italian addition is exceptional. My favorite is the Osso Bucco. I always ask to sit at Denise's table. She is a great waitress. Always kind and funny. read more

The atmosphere is very nice with a golf course view. Our server was obviously new, but did an adequate job. We ordered the fried calamari 4/5 (artichokes best part), fish and chips 4/5, meatloaf 3/5, and salmon 3.5/5. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting. The staff are very rude. Inside is dirty and dusty. If you go out on the patio, it's horrendous. Bird poop everywhere you're sitting within a foot of poop covered ledges and the canopy that is up over. Also need to find a chair to sit in that does not have bird poop all over is at a minimum The canopy above your head is covered with dust and crud. Very unsanitary. And then there's the flies. It makes it even hard to eat or enjoy sitting outside. I hope that they've been reported to the health department because otherwise this place should be condemned. read more

This is our family's go to place as there is something for everyone. The chicken parm is a fan go-to when ya can't decide. It feeds w or us! The ruben, fish & chips, cole slaw, salads - all have that home cooked feel. We are planning to work our way thru the menu (if we could only stop re-ordering each others fav dishes.) I have been here numerous times and have always had wonderful friendly service and great food. I am very sorry to give this negative report. When we walked in there was no one at the host/hostess desk. We waited 5-10 minutes. Finally a young man (waiter) approached us. It was not crowded & we requested a table by the windows. He was very arrogant & & defensive. He said l'll get a table for you in 5 or so minutes. No smile or Welcome. I mentioned we had an eye on a window table that was available and cleaned. He got upset & very offensively stated he could not sit us there . he made us wait, then sat us at a table about 4-5 tables from our original choice. I stated "you must be having a bad day & he got extremely offendsive & stated "no, it's people like you that we have to deal with. read more

My husband and I have been going to Angela's kitchen for years. The food has always been perfect.; flavors and portions. We went to lunch there today, after not going for about a year, and what a disappointment. Our server was wonderful, and the flavors were great. The portions were incredibly small. The calamari and artichoke used to be a huge bowl of mostly calamari and a few artichoke scattered here and there. Today's calamari was very sparse... there was definitely more artichoke than calamari and what little calamari there was were teeny tiny. We have also always gotten the fish and chips, which have always been amazing. The fish were good size portions, and a good amount of fries. Today's portion of the fish could fit in the palm of my hand. So, like the calamari, the portions were 1/2, two 3/4 the size of what they used to be. Reservations are not available. We arrived about 5:45 PM. We had to wait for a hostess to greet us. We waited over 20 minutes to be seated in a restaurant that had many empty tables both inside and outside. Small bar was full. Servers were busing and delivering food through the waiting area. We appeared to be in the way. Other guests walked out after waiting to long for hostess to take there table request. When seated we waited for over 10 minutes to be greeted by a waitress before we approached the hostess and informed her of our lack of service. Our server when she arrived tried her best to get us back on track. She provide water and silverware and took our drink orders. When taking our food orders she informed us that they were out of food for most of the specials and many items on the regular menu. They were also out of one of the wines requested that was on the menu. Everyone in our party of 5 was satisfied with their food when it arrived but were not impressed by the management of this restaurant. read more

Indoor and outdoor seating. Located in "the grand" community in Surprise. Fun fact: Angela's Kitchen owner is related to the owner of another one of our favorite restaurants; State 48. Angela needs to improve because they're starting off the 2025 high season with low staffing, bad attitudes and bad service. We went at 4 PM for an early dinner and the service was horrible. The waitress was snappy and rude, they were completely understaffed, had to summon someone to the table and even bring the check, but at least the food was decent and I suppose that's what matters most. Unfortunately, we took first time visitors to The Grand and were completely embarrassed by the bad experience. read more
