Since it's the closest one to us, it's…read morevery convenient, but it can also get extremely busy because it's located near the Prasada shopping area. Parking can be a challenge, especially during peak hours. If the main lot is full, you can usually find additional parking in the nearby Costco lot and walk over. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made for a great experience. The wine tasting area is much smaller than the Avondale location, which has a much larger and more spacious setup. During our visit, we learned about the bonus bottle program and received helpful wine recommendations and tasting tips, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a quieter visit, I recommend going during the week when it's less crowded. My only suggestions would be to expand the wine tasting area and improve the parking situation. Otherwise, it's a great place to enjoy a tasting and learn more about wine!

This location has been open for about three years now and something is definitely off. We have been here a handful of times, which is way less than we expected to visit. Each time, it seems like the service is just lacking. Maybe we're just not getting the right servers, but when you're paying a premium to dine, there shouldn't be any "wrong" servers. At our most recent meal earlier this month, the timing was off on our meal and our server was just awkward and robotic. Disappointing, especially as we were giving this spot another chance after over a year away. The food is good and the menu offerings are expansive, but again, inconsistent. Maybe next year...

It had been a while since I'd had a burger with peanut butter on it - I always enjoy the balance of a savory burger with creamy peanut butter and some sweet jelly - it was even better that the peach jelly had a jalapeño kick to it! The bacon on the burger was also really crisp and the burger had a delicious charred crust on it. We got our little one a cheese pizza - the size was fantastic (we couldn't even finish it). My husband and his friend got a couple beers as well and service was great. We would definitely be back if we were in the area

Generally good value for money on the food but beware of the upcharge for truffle fries!…read more I have enjoyed eating at other State 48 locations and have been keen to try this one out. Upon entering, there is a stench from the bathrooms near the host stand. Not a great start. Service was very average. The kitchen added an extra ingredient that wasn't listed on the menu for the dish I ordered. When I inquired about it with my server he opted to tell me that this is how the dish is normally made despite 1) the ingredient not being listed on the menu 2) the fact that I've had this exact dish at the DTPHX location without the extra ingredient. I felt there was a missed opportunity by this server to care or try to take accountability. There is an unusually high upcharge (in my opinion) if you want to do truffle fries instead of regular fries with your entree. To be honest, I'd skip the extra $5 charge and just go with the regular fries, both are good but $5 is steep for some last min truffle oil, parm & parsley.. May give this location another try, perhaps for takeout next time.

Where do I begin. I…read moregot to the restaurant a little early and noticed that this gentleman who had just parked as well had a big smile on his face and was humming a tune as he walked towards the entrance in his nice black slacks and shirt. I walked in at 3:16 pm and was at the hostess desk for maybe 7 seconds when the same gentleman came up, greeted me and seated me. He was by the bar and we got talking about the weather, Texas, NY and life. Still early so he pulled up a chair next to my table and we continued our fun dialogue. Turns out this down to earth and very sweet guy is the owner Emilio Kimble. His wife Maria, also a sweetheart and he have brought this same natural love, care and service to their beautiful restaurant. The restaurant is big with indoor and outdoor seating, a gorgeous bar and tv's galore. My friends Barb and Luci arrived and they got their " usual" Tito's and soda plus a Cab. My Diet Coke was refilled constantly by the our very attentive waitress Emily. The food was stupendous. It had to be as Emilio's and Maria's love was contagious- Luci loved her Diamondback burger( photo). Barbara got really quiet ( a rarity)as she chomped on her tremendous pulled pork burger(;photo) and I got a special tuna salad on wheat with grilled peppers and onions and fresh avocado( photo snapped before I inhaled it). It was a beautiful sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy and tasty. It was a great meal. Big portions too. The regulars poured in and the laughter and fun continued as we moved to the bigger room for the Thursday night trivia. I love that they have a Jazz night, fish fry and shrimp Friday specials, a Billy Joel tribute night, a $16 Easter Buffet in 10 days( sadly I will be in Europe) and so many fun events on the calendar. ( photos). The restaurant is immaculate and bright. There is lots of parking up front. They cater and they deliver. They open daily at 9 am except for Mondays( closed). I am here for a racquetball tournament about 3 miles north and will absolutely bring the guys for the undisputed best meal of their trip. Thank you Emilio, Maria and your lovely team for your kindness and a memorable evening.

I didn't know that. I called the number to speak to somebody to open the gate and the guy told me I had to go around. I tried to explain the guy I didn't know how to go around because I'm not from this area. He then stated "well if you didn't cut me off, I was about to tell you". That was enough for me to tell him don't worry about it. I'll figure it out. I pull up to the other gate and it's him that standing there. He asked me where I'm going and I tell him then, he rest his elbow on my car, tries to look me in the eyes and says "it was really rude of you to hang up on me like that" I explained to him "I didn't like the tone of your voice that's why you got hung up on". He then says "well, what's the address of the place you're going to" like he doesn't know where I'm going You don't need this kind of trouble just to try to go somewhere to get a bite to eat. Let the retirement home people have this place because you're not missing anything.

I had never been to First Watch before, but I expected a wait. I checked in and was quoted 25 minutes for a party of four. After 30 minutes, I checked in again and was told I was second in line. A few more minutes went by, so I asked again, and now I was fifth in line. I was confused, and they explained that people checking in online could jump ahead of me. They also said they were unable to accurately quote a wait time, and that it could end up being much longer. I know many other places use a hybrid check-in system, and I've never experienced an issue like this. I understand when things simply take longer than expected, but tables were being turned over and people were being seated. I must have just been incredibly unlucky with the timing of people checking in online. After finally being seated about 45 minutes later, we put our order in right away since we were now going to be cutting it close. I'm used to breakfast places being pretty quick, but it took another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We ended up being 15 minutes late to the movie. I expected the opening credits to still be rolling, so I wasn't too stressed, but we definitely missed the first five minutes or so of the movie. The food was pretty good, but my eggs were over hard when I had ordered them over medium. What disappointed me the most was that nobody seemed to care that the quoted wait time was so far off. There was no apology or acknowledgment. Our waitress was okay, but she avoided our table like the plague while we were waiting for our food, probably because she knew it was taking so long. Empathy and kind words go a long way.

What truly sets this establishment apart from so many others these days is the staff's outstanding attention to detail and genuine commitment to customer service. A special shout-out to Matt, Sam (sadly, now at another location), Hannah, Nicky, and Jakob! They deserve extra recognition for consistently going above and beyond. It's reassuring to know they have our backs and take the time to follow up after our orders arrive to ensure everything is correct and exactly to our liking. Great service isn't just about getting the order right; it's about making customers feel valued. This team understands that, and it's a big reason we keep coming back. They are a true asset to this location!

My husband and I visited Firebirds to celebrate with friends after their wedding and unfortunately…read morethe experience was really disappointing. We both ordered our steaks medium rare, which should have a warm red center but both steaks came out extremely rare with a cool, almost blue colored center. Our server took our plates back to have the steaks cooked longer, leaving us sitting without our meals or sides while the rest of the wedding party ate. By the time our steaks came back cooked perfectly, so much time had passed that everyone was already getting their checks and we had to box up our food to take home. I understand that we were part of a large party and that service can take longer in those situations but we had already been there for 2.5 hours. Spending $150 for dinner for two and ultimately having to take our food home instead of enjoying a meal with our friends was incredibly frustrating. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and instead we left feeling like we had wasted an evening and a significant amount of money on a disappointing experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because this was not the experience we expected from Firebirds.
