Absolutely unacceptable experience. We arrived for breakfast with a party of 8 and were told the wait would be 30 minutes. Fine. At the 45-minute mark, we checked in because we hadn't heard anything--and by then, multiple groups who arrived after us had already been seated. The hostess told us, "You're up next." Okay. An hour later, still nothing. This time we were told, "We're cleaning your table right now." At an hour and a half, we were finally told the truth: the people at "our table" refused to leave. Meaning we were lied to twice earlier to keep us waiting instead of being honest. By that point, we had watched other guests give up and walk to nearby restaurants that were now opening for lunch. One person in our party actually left, went to another restaurant, ordered, ate, and left--all before we even received food at Over Easy. Management completely failed. No communication. No honesty. No effort to manage the situation. No offer of anything--no apology, no comp, no explanation worth anything. Even after we were finally seated, no one checked on us to see how things were or acknowledge the delay. Nothing. This wasn't just a long wait--it was dishonesty, poor management, and total disregard for customers' time. We were strung along instead of being told the truth so we could make an informed decision. Food arrived promptly... we were just wanting for some really good lemon ricotta pancakes. The ones we got served seemed like they had a bunch of lemon extract but it wasn't well balanced, too tart. The new Verrado location lives up to Over Easy standards. The staff is friendly and competent. The ambiance is typical Over Easy bright. The omelette was perfectly done and slightly fluffy. My wife and I were excited to finally have a breakfast place near our home. We showed up around 8:40 on a Sunday. There were probably 20 people standing outside waiting for a table. Lucky for us there is a bar inside so we took two seats up there. We started with a penny mimosa. Very tasty especially for a penny. We decided on two Irish coffees and we started with the donut appetizer. For our entree, I had the chicken and waffles and my wife had the tacos. The chicken and waffles was very good. The chicken was delicious , the waffle was a typical waffle. My wife said the tacos were amazing. The donuts were delicious as well. The only complaint was the $26.00 for the two Irish coffees. This was our first visit to Over Easy. The atmosphere was nice and bright. The restaurant was clean. The staff was very friendly. Our fantastic server was Gabriella. She was kind, respectful, helpful and pleasant. She answered the questions we had and ensured our water and coffee were full. My wife ordered a pumpkin Chai latte, pumpkin french toast, with a side of bacon. I had the wodlpack, with basted eggs, ham and pepper jack cheese. I had the green chili smother on the side. We also shared the old fashioned donuts. The food was brought out very quickly and was piping hot. The portions were huge! We both enjoyed our meals and would order them again. We come in here every day for breakfast and have really great service from all of the staff here particularly Marlen. She is very attentive, always gets our order correct and is also very funny. She has a smile that lights up the entire restaurant. Her upbeat attitude makes our stressful mornings a lot easier. There's so many good menu items and a really great variety. We love Over Easy and the food is great. But I had to give 3 stars because our server did not care. He decided that talking to other servers was more important. It took 5 minutes to come greet us and take our orders. Then at the end with our plate at the end of the table and our drinks empty, he asks if we want the check.
