We really enjoyed our time on Saturday! We had about a 15 min wait and the bartender was our server. She was kind and efficient for being a busy woman. My traditional was basic as excepted but the potatoes were so good! I wish I upgraded to the million $ bacon just to have more because omg the balance of sweet and heat was perfect! The hubs got the Chilaquiles and my lord was that amazing! I was jealous and will be getting that next time. It was flavorful, seasons well, and full of textures. Regular latte was good for being so simple and my cold brew tini was good! It was a nice little boozy start to the meal :) It was a good vibe and all the natural lighting coming through was enjoyable and made it feel homey. -only reasons for the 4 was that my eggs were more on the easy side vs medium. I love a runny yolk but not my whites to be runny. Next time I'll do the scrambled eggs because those were great. Additionally, I felt for the servers also having to bus (I'm assuming shirt staff) but as someone who trains people on customer service, you don't want diners to hear the problems on the back end and being upset asking where are the damn busers. read more

Tried the Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich today after my server Nicolas recommended it and he definitely put me on to a good one. The apricot jam goes really good with the Million Dollar Bacon and pickled jalapeños. You get that sweetness first then a little heat from the jalapeños. Nothing overpowering at all. The sweet heat was balanced to perfection. The eggs and melted cheddar just made it even better. Potatoes came out nice and crispy too. I also tried the Blazing Dragon juice and really liked it. Super refreshing and went perfect with breakfast. The place was clean and had a nice chill atmosphere. Definitely gotta give Nicolas his kudos for the recommendation and the service. read more

We had a wonderful breakfast at First Watch, and the food was every bit as delicious as it looked! Everything came out fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The omelet was fluffy and packed with delicious ingredients, topped with avocado and bacon, and served with toast, salsa, and a little sour cream. We also tried the Million Dollar Bacon, which was sweet, savory, and absolutely addictive! I also appreciated the fresh coffee and the carafe at the table--a small touch that made it easy to enjoy a leisurely morning without having to wait for a refill. The restaurant itself was bright, comfortable, and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy breakfast. Everything about our visit felt fresh and well done. Five stars from us! First Watch is definitely a place we'd happily return to when we're looking for a great breakfast or brunch. read more

Met my granddaughter for Brunch at the new 2829 Aqua Fria Freeway location at 11am. Very busy. Short wait 12 minutes. Host very organized and big smile. Tall blonde. Sat in a booth, Diego our server, very attentive and friendly. Took our order soon after I joined. 15 ish minutes for food. Both had the Trifecta with Belgium Waffle, 2 eggs and bacon. Hot and fresh! So much I took half home. Diego checked on us often, kept water and Iced Tea filled. Removed our plates. Pricing was good, good atmosphere, open and airy. Managers moving about assisting as needed. Thanks, Phenomenal experience! We will be back. read more

We love breakfast and brunch at the new First Watch at Pat Tillman Dr in Surprise. Great food and service, with minimal wait even at peak times. Great bloody Mary's and lemon ricotta pancakes!!! Highly recommend!! read more

The food is good. The waitress was not. wish I got her name! I have eaten there before and enjoy it very much. The atmosphere is nice and the food is delicious. But I will hang my hat on customer service. One mornin, I did not want to eat and just sat down for a birthday celebration. They had a big pot of coffee on the table. I decided just to pour myself a small cup, because I didn't want the waitress to come back over. That lovely waitress charged me five dollars! Ridiculous. I wont be back to that location for a while ! Fix your customer service please. It's not gonna break you to give somebody a free cup of coffee every now and then. Especially when they are a patron. read more

Usually a good spot but the hospitality and food quality seems to be on the decline. This time, bacon was burnt, potatoes were way too salty to eat and our server hardly served us. Manager is usually in a great mood, not today.. My husbands biscuit and gravy was lacking on the gravy. Couldn't finish his plate due to dry biscuit. Hopefully they improve on the food because there are plenty of options available. read more

This is a great place for breakfast but plan on waiting for a table, it's a popular spot

Visited on 8/22 for breakfast with my 87 y/o uncle. Sat outside. We both had the traditional breakfast. Two eggs over easy I had sausage and dressed greens and beet juice drink. My eggs weren't cooked as requested . It was disappointing. I just moved from the Tampa Bay area and the First Watch restaurants there were awesome and made eggs as requested. My preference next time will be Over Easy. read more

Such nice staff, fabulous environment and great service. Big fan of their iced coffee and riddle card available at the bar. 10/10!!!

Went to the new First Watch on Asante Trail. A part of the new development in Surprise, Az. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated. Our waitress appeared and took our drink order. Mine, Decaf coffee and a small orange juice, which was fresh squeezed, i believe. We started with donut balls which came with two dipping sauces, chocolate and a fruit compote. Good, but not as good as the million dollar donut balls we had at theFirst Watch in Colorado. I ordered the Trifecta and my wife, the veggie frittata. My Trifecta was good with crisp bacon that I requested. My wife's frittata was a little too dry for her liking. The atmosphere is nice and well decorated, although a bit noisy. We will include this First Watch as one of our choices for a Sunday morning breakfast/brunch in the future. read more

We decided to try First Watch since it is new. The decorations are super cute and very farmhouse. We were seated right away which was surprising since they were busy. The first thing we noticed is our coffee cups were dirty. The server quickly replaced them with a smile. I ordered the Traditional and my husband had the Trifecta. We had a manger and our server stop by to apologize for the delay which I was fine with. The staff is very friendly and attentive and I will patiently wait for good food. When the food came out, though, it was not good. My husband's waffle was burnt on the underside! They took it back and made another quickly which was appreciated, but even remade and not burnt it was not great. My chicken apple sausage was overcooked and the "seasoned" potatoes were bland. The coffee was weak like it was brewed too fast. All in all very disappointing. I may try again once the kitchen staff is tuned in, but I will go back to my regular breakfast place until then. read more

Outstanding service TIA provided! Wow from the entry to the table TIA(our waitress) was on point! He welcoming greeting to her knowledge of the menu and after a few words she was able to help me decide what I may like to eat and drink. Her attention to detail and her quick speedy return to check on whether we're happy with the food we ordered? Outstanding way to make sure we were happy with everything. We were happy with the delicious Trifecta (a perfect amount of food combination) the Homefries(seasoned potatoes were addictive!) Thank you first watch and Tia for making my day!! Tia's cool and very kind attitude made us feel as if she was family. The cleanliness was above par and the music was at the right decibels, (not too loud). I recommend First Watch if you like to feel like your home, being fed by your own family. Great job read more

We came in for breakfast, and unfortunately, our experience was negatively affected by the manager, Christian. He was rude and came across as unprofessional during our visit. I believe management should focus on improving customer service, as the interaction left a poor impression. Thankfully, our server, who also happened to be named Christian, completely turned the experience around. He was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. The food was delicious, and we had planned to order the waffles because they looked amazing, but we ended up canceling the order since we were too full. We would definitely return because of the great food and the outstanding service from our server, Christian. I just hope the manager's approach to guests improves, as it took away from what could have been an excellent breakfast experience. read more

I love the green drink at this place and the food is good too. Enjoy the small salad that comes with some of the breakfast, it's so refreshing. Ambience is nice and service is good read more

We were so disappointed with the service and food quality at First Watch, on 163rd & Pat Tillman. We were seated immediately when we arrived. About 10 minutes after we were seated we were greeted by our sever asking for our drink order. We ordered our ice tea and water, and told her we were ready to order. We ordered their pumpkin spice donuts, as a starter, and also ordered our breakfast. We received our drinks almost immediately.. then imagine this... 40 minutes later, still no food, or drink refills!! 45 minutes later we were served our donuts. 50 minutes later our sub par breakfast arrived. For us, Not even worth giving this place a second chance at this point. read more

New location .. I came here hoping it would be better than the other Surprise location but I was extremely disappointed. We got on the waitlist 25 min prior , arrived and told the wait was still an additional 25 min. I don't understand the purpose of a wait list when they'll make you wait all over again anyway. We were seated after 25 min, sat there for 15 min with no one taking our drink order, no one stopped to ask if we've been helped. Eventually we ordered our food.. over medium usually means just that. Our eggs were sunny side up and too runny. On top of the additional wait time bc everyone walked by and ignored us, the food was not satisfactory. I wanted to like it here but they definitely fall short. read more

After immediately sitting down our server asked if we were ready to order breakfast. We just ordered coffees and asked for a min to look over the menu. When she returned with our drinks we ordered food. Maybe 20 mins later we got our food and our server didn't check on us at all. We wanted to order more coffees but when she finally did come back she just dropped off the check even though we were still eating. Shout out to the other server that dropped our food off who seemed much more pleasant. read more

The ambiance is nice. The servers are attentive. The food is great. It's nice to have a nice sitdown restaurant locally

We went to the soft opening this weekend for this new location and the food and service was excellent!

The avocado toast needed some help... It was untoasted on one side and toasted on the other with a little bit of black. How do you not toast both sides of the bread? The avocado and the herbs were lovely (more herbs please) and please toast the bread properly (note Maillard reaction makes a difference). The plate sized lemon blueberry cornbread with butter and something that I would call lemon curd was very tasty. My companion liked did not like the gravy on the biscuits and gravy entree. I loved my fresh blended juice (green... I usually get a beet and orange juice one--both are divine). An assortment of tea bags on a plate was offered to my companion for tea. One was not supposed to use all tea bags, just one, after picking through them to select one (and the next diner to get the plate of tea bags would sort through them and choose one. I thought to myself (not sanitary, especially the ones in the paper wrappers). I also was underwhelmed with the selection. I think training is probably needed in the kitchen...and for the people prepping the food. And the servers...I asked a question about how something was prepared and she had no idea how to answer, nor did she attempt to find out (for her, "I don't know" was a perfectly good answer. Tables were a bit too close together. Parking was also tight. I have had better food at the First Watch on Shea east of the 101. I hope this one improves. read more
