The best way I can describe it is that it looked like an adult-sized Lunchables that had been opened and dumped onto a plate. In fact, while I was dining, another guest stopped at my table and asked if that was really the charcuterie board because they couldn't believe it was being served as a restaurant appetizer. For $18, I expected a thoughtfully assembled board with quality meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, spreads, and fresh bread or crostini. Instead, I received a plate with what appeared to be basic cheese cubes that looked like they had come straight from a bag, low-grade sliced meats, a handful of crackers including Ritz and Town House crackers, a tacky plastic condiment cup in the middle filled with of hot jelly-like sauce that seemed completely out of place, and a few olives. Ironically, the olives were probably the best item on the plate, although several were mushy and past their prime texture. The meats lacked flavor and quality, the cheese selection was uninspired, and the overall presentation looked more like something from a cafeteria or convenience-store snack tray than a restaurant charging resort-style prices. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of attention to presentation. A charcuterie board should be visually appealing and invite you to explore different flavors and combinations. This looked like ingredients had simply been placed on a plate with little thought given to quality, balance, or appearance. I've ordered charcuterie boards at many restaurants throughout Arizona, including golf clubs, resorts, wineries, and local restaurants. For the same price--or sometimes less--I've received artisan cheeses, quality cured meats, fresh fruit, toasted baguette slices, nuts, jams, and attractive presentation. This board wasn't even close. As a Sun City Festival resident, I want Indigo Grille to succeed. Residents want a restaurant they can be proud of and support regularly. Unfortunately, this dish represents many of the concerns residents have expressed about food quality, consistency, and value. Would I order this again? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it to others? Not in its current form. For $18, residents and guests deserve much better.

Also the hoagie roll deserves credit because it held up and didn't turn into a soggy disaster halfway through. If you like pastrami and you like bold flavors, this is a solid order. I'd get it again without even thinking twice.
