NOTE: they may be open, but we were told that they do not serve food for the first 30 mins. We came when they opened and were told we would have to wait a half hour to eat anything besides pastry. Annoying, honestly. But we walked around Home Depot next door to kill the time. We sat outside and were disappointed most of the chairs had not been cleaned (almost all of them had some bird poop on them), but we managed to find two chairs that were clean. The chairs themselves are not comfortable, though, and I would be remiss if I didn't warn my thick thigh/bigger hipped girlies to let you know they have wire bucket chairs that can be very uncomfortable to sit in. All that said, the food was good! The service was also good. We enjoyed our coffees which were very good, shared an apple pastry warmed up that was very flavorful and fresh, and shared a high protein egg white plate all very tasty. Would we come back? Maybe. Also: how are you called the black and white cafe and don't have a black and white cookie?! Seems like a huge missed opportunity there! We hadn't been back in quite a while and we definitely won't let that happen again! This place is absolutely a hidden gem with fresh ingredients and a chef that knows what he's doing. Eggs Benedict was perfect in every way. Thin muffin that doesn't overpower the dish and the best sauce! Breakfast potatoes had the exact amount of seasoning and great texture. My husband added a sausage and the flavor was amazing! They did send out a warm apple danish with compliments and I promise you need to order this. The food and coffee here is ok, but it's not worth the hassle of the drama and unpredictability of how poorly this place is managed. As others have mentioned in several reviews, the service and food timing is highly conditional and unpredictable. We have given this place many chances and have been turned down for service several times due to issues like timing, "having a small kitchen", or things being put of stock. We have also been waiting there while waiting with other patrons to be seated and have been allowed to have breakfast while other parties were turned away. I came here to meet up with some friends, I thought it was a coffee place but it is definitely more of a breakfast/brunch spot. They do not serve any decaf coffee, but they have a few herbal teas if you do not want caffeine. Not really any vegan food options, and the food seemed a little pricey to me but the portion sizes were pretty big. Cute mom & pop shop that my nephew and his girlfriend made me aware of. Highly recommend that you call and make reservations as the space is very small. It also is possible that if you arrive later on before they close for the day, they will run out of certain items (we went around 9:30 am and they already were out of waffles) and by the time we left, all of the breakfast items were gone sans pastries and drinks so brunch was the only other option. Everything is made to order so pack your patience. We did come on Father's Day and were immediately told the wait for food would be 45 mins or so from when we placed our order. There were two issues I had with the service, the first being that it was Father's Day, there were only 2 servers and some large parties. The second is that while we were informed there was a 45 min wait from when we ordered our food, our server took our drink order and then we easily waited another 20 mins or so before she even came back to take our food order. While we understood the wait on the food preparation, we felt that was too long to wait simply to take our food order. I preferred the vanilla latte which was very tasty along with the buttermilk pancakes: The pancakes are AHMAZING. I've never had pancakes crispy on the outside like they were but very light and fluffy. They actually tasted and reminded me of funnel cake which I love. Overall, I enjoyed this breakfast spot. And you can pick if you want potato chip and fries! They have very good pastries I personally recommend the almond danish is healthy and very good. I had no idea this place had been here for 8 years! The service is a little on the slower side and the music is a bit loud for the space but the food is all so fresh. I had a hot vanilla latte, which I wasn't a fan of because it was all foam, but I would try it iced next time. The American breakfast was very good and everything tasted fresh and flavorful especially the potatoes. I ordered a side of pancakes but they were a bit expensive for a side and had way too much butter for my liking, they were however crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. This was the first place we ate on vacation and had to come back for a 2nd time on our 4 day trip. The Norwegian Benedict, French toast, and pancakes were life changing the pancakes have an incredible crispy crust, but still light and fluffy on the inside. Food is good when you get it. Music is a bit on the loud side to sit inside. 2 other things to note: open is at 7 but they won't take your order until 7:30 due to prepping. If you open at 7 then service should start at opening. The chef should arrive earlier to begin prep or do prep the day before. This is advertised as a breakfast/brunch spot but we were refused breakfast at 11:00 am. No where on the on-line menu does it say breakfast is only till 10-1030 am. We left and went someplace else. We have been to "black and white cafe" a few times now and a few things are very consistent. They have wonderful food and great portion sizes. The indoor seating is quite small and we have been fortunate enough to sit indoors every time. This place stays busy, so arrive early or be ok with sitting outside. Consistently, my coffee experience here has been lackluster. The beverages tend to lean very sweet. First tried a mocha, it was just fine. I ordered a vanilla latte this time and it had an odd, off putting taste and was too sweet. Traded in for a dirty chai latte that was good. The only bummer was the waitress charged me for both and we decided to not argue with her since they were so busy (people waiting 30+ minutes for food). If someone sends back a beverage, it would be great to take it off the bill. I always enjoy the Florentine Benedict. The side of potatoes and fruit is a nice balance. Their hollandaise is yummy and they are generous with the spinach, avocado, and tomato. My partner enjoyed the French toast, fair warning they put chocolate sauce and syrup under the French toast so ask for it without if you'd like. Got the breakfast club and a mimosa, the mimosa was really warm :( the breakfast club was drenched in liquid and was frustrating to eat. It had good flavor but the eggs were not over medium they were undercooked and the spinach/tomatoes were soggy and ruined the whole thing. I've visited this cafe a few times, and while the food is generally pretty good, there are a couple operational issues that need to be addressed. First, they consistently run out of breakfast items by 10 AM, which is surprising for a business that has been open for several years. You would expect that they'd have a better handle on inventory and demand by now. Additionally, on busy holidays, the restaurant refuses to serve customers unless they are dining in. This policy is confusing (especially when seating is not at full capacity) because they're not taking advantage of the opportunity to serve more customers and increase revenue without overburdening the dining area. I won't be returning, but I hope the ownership takes steps to improve. If certain menu items are unavailable after a specific time, that information should be clearly communicated on both the website and posted signage. Just say you don't serve breakfast after a certain time. If takeout service is going to be limited or suspended during busy periods, that should be reflected accurately online as well. Too many things appear to be conditional, which can lead to wasted time and frustration for customers. read more

Service was commendable as well, the only negative feedback I have is that my first cup of coffee was horrible, 2nd one was good. I'm pretty sure it was the last batch in the pot which they shouldn't have served in the first place. Was looking for a little cafe with coffee and breakfast and Black and White Cafe hit the marks! There's a few outdoor tables and it's cute and quaint inside. We were sat immediately and provided menus. We ordered OJ and an iced vanilla and Carmel latte. The drinks were smaller for the price but the latte tasted great! We both ordered the American breakfast which is eggs, choice of meat, potatoes, toast and little side of fruit. The food was all cooked great and you can tell they use fresh high quality ingredients! The prices were a bit steep but happy to support a small business. If you're looking for a great coffee (or mimosa) and some delicious food definitely check this place out. Such a hidden gem. Dropped my vehicle off at Discount Tire and wandered over to this little cafe. Great quality food! I got a great oat milk chai latte and veggie scramble with whole eggs, gluten free toast and these delicious crispy potatoes with rosemary on them. Staff was kind and people inside were friendly. Sometime ago I came to this restaurant for breakfast it was decent . Brought my husband back. It was about 10am in the morning and they informed me they're not gonna serve breakfast anymore just coffee and biscuits. Very disappointing. In fact the young lady was extremely rude about it. Some time passes and I decided to go back again. The same thing happens! The excuse was they're a small kitchen and they can't accommodate. Apparently no more breakfast food available at 10am on a Sunday for breakfast .
